There's a #1 contender Fatal 4-Way match with Batista vs. Mark Henry vs. Finlay vs. Kane. The winner was pretty much given away.

Thanks for spoiling Smackdown, guys. Really appreciate it.

It's gotten to the fucking point where someone always comes into a thread and challenges whether or not it's "thread-worthy". We're getting to the point where the only active topics on the board will be for the TV shows, PPVs, and deaths. Retarded.

    RVD released early?

Might as well lock this thread, since it's not true.

    OAO Judgment Day 2007 Thread

He's right. That's the kind of bullshit that made Big Show just another worker, taking bumps for everyone.

    OAO WWE Spring Releases Thread

WWE RELEASES ANOTHER DIVA WWE quietly released Beth Phoenix from her contract early last week. She was told that creative had nothing for her. Behind the scenes, Stephanie McMahon, was never a fan of her. She felt as though that she didn't have the "WWE Diva look" due to her inherit bulkiness. -- Wrestling Observer Newsletter

    Sabu fired from WWE

Former ECW World champion Sabu is gone from World Wrestling Entertainment, according to several sources. Sabu arrived hours late for tonight's scheduled Smackdown/ECW taping in Baltimore, Maryland and didn't even have his ring gear with him. I am told he was sent home from the taping and has been/will be released by the company. Sabu, one of the trendsetters of the original Extreme Championship Wrestling, signed with WWE a year ago as part of the re-launched ECW brand. Sabu received a big push early in the brand's run, including challenging ECW champion Big Show at last year's Summerslam PPV before being deemphasized as a focal point. -- PWI

The first two Victims of Stephanie McMahon and her promotion ended up being Rob Conway and 2 Cold Scorpio, who were released. Scorpio had spent over half a year sitting at home doing nothing, so this was no surprise. Conway was a surprise if only because he's a very good worker who was never given any sort of chance to display that, always had a good attitude, and always looked good. Stephanie felt Conway was a jobber for life and would never draw any money, and wanted to make room for more developmental talents to be called up. Johnny Ace had to be the bad cop (which is his new role, as if he didn't have enough heat already), and made things worse for himself by lying, saying creative couldn't come up with anything for Conway to do. The problem was that creative HAD come up with something for him, a reunited La Resistance on ECW. Conway had JUST received his new gear when Ace told him there were no ideas. Many people in the company were very unhappy with the call since they felt he could have made a great teacher in Louisville. -- Bryan Alvarez/F4W

    Sabu fired from WWE

I wouldn't put it past Vince Russo to book Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu in a Pot on a Pole match.

    Sabu fired from WWE

I love how some people are still thinking One Night Stand has any association to ECW anymore. It's just another WWE PPV now.

There's already a promo on WWE.Com of Edge stating that the only reason he lost was because he wrestled a match on the Smackdown live event earlier in the day.

I'd love to hear what HHH's idea was for the World Title if he didn't want Edge or Orton to win it with Kennedy unable to win it. Oh wait, that would assume HHH thinks past his own career.
  23. For those wondering why Ken Kennedy lost the Money in the Bank briefcase to Edge and was completely laid out tonight during Monday Night Raw, the reason is Kennedy suffered a horrible tricep tear over the weekend, tearing it right off the bone during a house show in Poughkeepsie, New York. Kennedy is scheduled to undergo surgery shortly and is expected to out of the ring for an estimated five to seven months. Given the way he was written out, one would think Kennedy will be returning as a babyface but given the way the company changes plans daily, I wouldn't consider that a given until it happens. source: PWI HUGE MEGA UPDATE: WWE.Com reported on Wednesday that Mr. Kennedy had an extensive MRI performed by Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham. The MRI showed that Kennedy in fact did not tear his triceps. Kennedy's injury will not require surgery. He has severe hematoma (a collection of blood within a tissue or organ) in the triceps area and the area remains badly bruised. Official WWE doctor Dr. Ferdinand Rios says that Kennedy is too vulnerable to injury for a medical clearance, but predicts that Kennedy will be able to wrestle again in 6-8 weeks and not the original 5-7 months when the triceps was believed to be torn.

Yes, let's have one of our brightest stars of the future sit at home for no reason. Great plan.
