FORMER ECW & WWF STAR FILES FOR BANKRUPTCY Former Extreme Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Federation star Nicole Bass has filed for bankruptcy, old friend Howard Stern announced on his radio show Tuesday. Bass became famous due to her overt masculinity and appearances on Stern's radio show in the mid-90s. Stern and his crew laboriously mocked Bass about her manly appearance to the point where Stern convinced her to take a live chromosome test to prove she was a woman. The doctor hired for the test confirmed she was indeed a woman. After debuting in ECW for a few scattered appearances in late-1998/early-1999, Bass made her debut with the WWF at WrestleMania 15 in Philadelphia, doing a run-in for Sable in her Women's Title match against Tori. She was used as Sable's bodyguard until Sable quit the company in May 1999. She was then used in an angle where Val Venis had a crush on her. Bass worked as Venis' valet until she herself quit the company in July 1999. When she quit, she filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the WWF. She claimed that agent Steve "Brooklyn Brawler" Lombardi groped her on a plane and that she caught several male workers watching her in the dressing room through a peephole. Bass eventually lost the lawsuit in 2003. Stern said that the last he had heard from Bass, she was working as a phone sex operator and had one of his crew members call her up live on the air.

So Kennedy was indeed slated to win the title tonight. What horrible timing for him to get injured.

Mr. Kennedy Severely Injures His Triceps

I thought about it too. He was surely going to be back before WM24. If anything, it only exposes the booking plans they had for tomorrow night's Smackdown tapings.

Edge vs. Kane or Edge vs. Benoit is all I can think of. Smackdown's really thin.

UPDATE ON DAWN MARIE'S LAWSUIT AGAINST WWE In summer 2005, former ECW & WWE star Dawn Marie was one of many in a cluster of firings that took place at that time. The problem is that Dawn was a few months pregnant at that time. Firing an female employee while she is pregnant is a serious no-no for an employer to do. Dawn's lawsuit against WWE is still ongoing and she has recently gotten two new attorneys for the case. Her argument is that she was fired even though she was told she wouldn't be, and that she could have easily worked for WWE in some other capacity until her return. Unfortunately, Dawn was caught up with the tirade of releases at the time. Wade Keller of Pro Wrestling Torch reports that there is a slim chance of her returning to WWE although other former Divas have returned from even worse things, for example Sable returning in 2003 after filing a $130 million sexual harassment lawsuit against WWE less than a week after the death of Owen Hart. TNA and Dawn have been in contact in the past and with President Dixie Carter having two children, she probably holds more sympathy. Dawn's last appearance for WWE was at the side of Lance Storm for ECW One Night Stand in 2005. Here is the comprehensive list of those that were fired in summer 2005: -- Marc Loyd -- Dawn Marie -- Mark Jindrak -- Mordecai -- Joy Giovanni -- Kenzo Suzuki -- Marty Jannetty -- Jackie Gayda -- Charlie Haas -- Spike Dudley -- Matt Morgan -- Shannon Moore -- Akio -- Gangrel -- Billy Kidman At this time, it was also decided that WWE would not pursue contract renewals for The Dudley Boys. Mordecai (as Kevin Thorn), Jannetty, Haas, Moore, Akio (as Jimmy Wang Yang), and Gangrel were eventually re-signed. Jannetty & Gangrel were fired again. Jannetty was re-signed again and was almost immediately fired for no-showing shows.

Boy, that Triple H sure is grateful to the guy that totally killed himself in the name of getting HHH over when it was looking like he was going to be a total dud main-eventer.

    The Undertaker tears his bicep.

PPV posters usually have nothing to do with the show.

Mark Henry had probably the worst world title match at a Royal Rumble ever last year. And think about this, his fucking opponent was Kurt Angle. You have to try seriously hard to have a bad match with Kurt Angle.

    The Undertaker tears his bicep.

Who the hell actually wants to see Mark Henry vs. Batista?

WWE CANCELS DECEMBER TO DISMEMBER WWE Chief Operating Officer Michael Sileck announced during their First Quarter Earnings Release conference call this morning that the second annual ECW December to Dismember PPV has been pulled from the WWE schedule and will not take place, citing the fact that three PPVs in five weeks is "just too much." Last year's December to Dismember PPV did an abysmal buyrate coming at the end of a similar period of several PPVs, despite having an Elimination Chamber main event. The execution of that event, which featured only two advertised matches as well as the show going off the air after only two hours and 15 minutes, led to the departure of Paul Heyman as the lead writer for the ECW brand when he argued against it. This year's edition of the PPV was scheduled to take place on December 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Smackdown spoilers from Birmingham, Ala.

Henry runs in, beats the ever-living fuck out of both guys, Kennedy comes out and makes the cage match a 3-way, pins either one of them for the title.

Meltzer is still calling that Kennedy ends up with the title.

I just think people who randomly insult people for no reason for the sake of thinking they look cool doing it deserve painful cancer. That is all.

    The Undertaker tears his bicep.

How is recapping what Arn Anderson said make me a naive, blind mark? They covered their bases and had their excuses ready to fully explain why Benoit wasn't ever recognized as a champ instead of a champ who got stripped of his belt. I guess all the Benoit-was-never-WCW-champ talk makes your diaper dirty. Quit being a shithead to people in the thread, Mr. wannabe elite pro wrestling backstage authority.
