I remember the original version of the Undisputed Championship that Triple H, Hulk Hogan, & The Undertaker had. It was so tiny. I think the Cruiserweight title was just as big. And then when The Rock won it, it was huge.

Edge did change it! Remember his Rated-R belt? haha.

ECW PPV BUYRATE LESS THAN 100,000 In WWE's latest public financial statement, it reported a PPV buyrate for ECW's December to Dismember PPV at a mere 90,000 buys, less than half of the next lowest PPV buyrate off the year, which was No Mercy at 197,000. The ECW PPV was part of the five-PPVs-in-five-weeks PPV blitz in November and December last year. Armageddon came in at 239,000 buys, down from 280,000 the year before. Survivor Series came in at 383,000, up from 370,000 the year before. Cyber Sunday also drew better than the year prior, with 228,000, up from 207,000.

I had no idea I do this all the time and I was contributing to WWE's advertising. Thanks for filling me in, Totally Crazy. You saved me from a world full of unintentional advertising.

How many people here actually believed Balls Mahoney would still have a job by February 2007?

Check out this unintentionally hilarious quote from President of CW Entertainment, Dawn Ostroff: "I have to say the WWE, Vince and Linda (McMahon), have been incredible partners. They really have been," she said. "I have to say they are excellent show producers. ... They know their characters better than anybody. They understand what their audience is looking for, and who their audience is, better than anything. They have been doing this for a long time, and their business is more than just this show. It is truly a whole culture, a phenomenon."

After the Great American Bash PPV got dismantled by all the suspensions, they altered the policy in July. Now, if you fail a test, you're suspended from working live events and must work TV tapings with no pay for 30 days. They're independent contractors, so Vince can do that legally.

According to Meltzer, Harry Smith was placed in the mob of Raw guys running off the ECW people because Paul Heyman expressed an interest in using him for ECW. So Raw head booker Brian Gewirtz made sure Smith was out there to run off the ECW people. But it's not like that really matters, because Big Show was a part of that Raw mob too.

I think Loaded Glove is The Undertaker based on that overreaction.

Why couldn't this be discussed in the Royal Rumble thread? Another thread seems pointless.

It's clear now that the Ultimate Rumble was rigged.

Ricky Steamboat knows who's signing his checks. So does Arn Anderson and Finlay. They're just telling the boss what he wants to hear. When you don't tell the boss what he wants to hear, you end up fired like Ted DiBiase and Tim Horner. -
TRISH STRATUS SAYS SHE'LL NEVER RETURN FULL-TIME TO WWE The Toronto Sun featured an interview with former 7-Time WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus yesterday to promote the Armed & Famous reality series. During the interview, Stratus ruled out a full-time return to WWE. "I'm done. I could never do that touring schedule again. Wrestling is in my blood. I love it, so if there were an opportunity to do something again in the ring, maybe. But going on the road? No -- I've moved on." Ironically, CBS announced Friday that it was dumping Armed & Famous due to very poor ratings. The remaining, unaired three episodes will air at an unspecified point during the summer.

I remember when Edge's wife got on Matt Hardy's website forum and started talking trash about Edge and saying really personal things about him. She claimed that when Edge came back from his neck injury, he was on so much steroids that his voice was mutating. She basically called him a scrawny chickenshit who'll never look big & bad and that he was so pathetic, steroids couldn't even help him. She also had the grammar and typing skills of a 7 year old. And the Lisa Ortiz that did Cynthia's voice in Silent Hill 4 is not the same Lisa Ortiz as Edge's wife.

Meltzer bags on it because he knows it's a joke. I mean look at what he said about the Von Erichs. Part of the World Class tape library acquisition was a HoF induction. That says all that needs to be said. -

Candice has always seemed eager to get better. -
Uh, The Hardy Boys were never in ECW. They were WWF jobbers for since 1994 before they finally got a push in 1999.

WWE RELEASES 9 MORE Some people noticed around 6:30pm EST on WWE.Com that Tatanka & Mike Knox were listed as the part of the released, then suddenly removed. Tatanka was added back on to the page Friday and remained, officially signifying his release. After appearing for a one-night-only deal when the company asked him to appear for Eugene's Hometown Hero Invitational in August 2005, despite being somewhat out of shape, Tatanka made a good impression on everyone backstage with his work. He was signed to a contract and given 4 months to get back in shape. He began working Raw house shows in December 2005, made his full-time return during the 2006 Royal Rumble, and was assigned to Smackdown. He was working as a heel and feuding with Jimmy Wang Yang at the time of his release. Knox could be next, but has not been announced officially yet. Nobody in WWE likes him due to his association with Paul Heyman, and is referred to only as "Heyman's boy". Bill DeMott, the head trainer for the Deep South Wrestling developmental group in McDonough, GA, has been released as well. DeMott made his debut in the United States in 1995 with WCW, under the name "Hugh Morrus". After being a career low-carder, he was finally pushed in 2000 under the booking of Vince Russo as "General Hugh G. Rection," the leader of the Misfits in Action, a group of wrestlers who got together because of their feelings of being held back in WCW. Under the General Rection moniker, he won the WCW United States Championship twice and recieved a built-up title match against WCW Champion Scott Steiner on Nitro. He was one of the 24 contracts picked up by WWE when they purchased WCW. After the brand extension, he was assigned to Smackdown and was planned to be used in a tag team with Perry Saturn in an Eliminators-type team. Saturn went down with injuries and was fired from the company for refusing to go on a WWA tour. He was a trainer on MTV's Tough Enough 3, along with Al Snow & Ivory. After TE3, WWE attempted an entire gimmick overhaul, giving him an unstoppable beast gimmick and having him go by his real name. A feud with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar was in the plans until DeMott seriously injured his back, and eventually retired. He became a commentator for Velocity, before being assigned as head trainer for Deep South Wrestling. 7 talents were released from their WWE developmental deals on Friday as well. Seth Skyfire, Jack Bull, and Ryan Reeves were released from OVW. In Deep South, Micah Taylor, Tracy Taylor, Tony Santarelli, and Tommy Suede got the axe.
