    Raw in Iraq spoilers

I'm assuming Umaga vs. Hardy was non-title as well.

    Show's over

Kurt Angle's quote on the matter is the best. I love Big Show like a brother. But his health problems are all because of him. He's extremely lazy and doesn't want to diet. He's more interested in pills and radical surgery than putting in the work to lose the weight. That's why he's put on about 80 pounds of fat in the last few years. And it's only going to get worse if he doesn't get a grip.

    Wrestling Shows....

Ed Wood Caulfield Don't forget ECW on TNN on Fridays from 8:00pm to 9:00pm from 8/27/99 to 10/20/00. That was always funny to me. For 3 weeks, WWF and ECW were on the same channel.

    Paul Heyman sent home

Jim Ross commented on Paul Heyman's departure from WWE: Unfortunate to see Paul Heyman, the former ECW guru, leave the WWE. Paul is a bright guy with many interests and will no doubt “land on his feet”. I have known and worked with Paul for MANY years, even when I was “thinner” and “Happy Heyman” had hair. We had our battles but Heyman is a sharp cookie and won’t need a telethon or fund raiser any time soon. I wish him the best in whatever he chooses to do. Ross was a huge proponent in getting Heyman into the WWF after ECW folded. He spoke of Heyman many times after the last show, talking about how he'd drink Heyman's "kool-aid" anyday.

    Show's over

Because we all understand that Show is leaving because he physically can't handle wrestling anymore.

  8. In a move that likely won't make World Wrestling Entertainment management too thrilled when they hear about it, TNA stars Kip and BG James, the Voodoo Kin Mafia, are currently outside tonight's WWE house show in Knoxville, TN playing up their current "war" storyline. The team is flanked by a camera crew, TNA writer Vince Russo, and a group of "fans" with TNA posters and signs. Thus far, VKM have shot vignettes where they attempted to pick up tickets from the box office and complained about the $50 ticket price. They are also interviewing fans that are entering the show, asking them their thoughts on WWE and DX. At this point, no security for the venue or World Wrestling Entertainment has attempted to prevent the TNA crew from continuing to film footage.

    Paul Heyman sent home

Heyman said at the start of ECW on SciFi that they were going to relaunch ECW with or without him. So it'll probably stay on. The SciFi deal is a 1-year agreement that goes to August 2007.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Well, this PPV turned out so terrible that Heyman was fired over it. At least he show will be remembered for something now.

    Paul Heyman sent home

PWInsider is reporting that Heyman was definitely fired. THE STORY BEHIND PAUL HEYMAN BEING FIRED FROM WWE As Mike reported a few minutes ago, Paul Heyman is gone from WWE. From talking to a number of people in the company, the impression I received was that Vince McMahon was irate about how awful the PPV was last night and wanted to pin the blame on Heyman for it. Anyone who knows anything about Heyman's booking, as I have for years now, have a pretty good idea that the show was much more McMahon than Heyman. But according to people I spoke with, Heyman got pinned with the blame for it with the theory being that "he is caught in the past and doesn't understand the new vision of ECW". You know, the vision that ends PPVs a half hour early and makes the fans boo what WWE creative books for them. The problems started yesterday at the ECW PPV when everyone realized that the show really stunk. Heyman was said to be unhappy with the way that the show was booked (big shock right) and sources backstage told me that he voiced that concern both before the show and after it. People at TV told me today that it was obvious that there were issues between Vince McMahon and Heyman because of the how the show played out on pay TV, with everyone knowing it was a disaster. Problems carried over from last night and led to the incidents that happened today. A number of sources told me that there was a meeting today around two o'clock with Heyman, Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque at the building. Heyman came out the meeting and seemed like his normal self, with no one I talked to having any idea that something bad had happened. Shortly thereafter, Heyman gathered his things and left the building to go home. The word going around from everyone I talked to is that this is not a storyline in any way and he is legitimately done with the company.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

I remember reading one time that Vince claimed to people backstage that the only reason the Rise & Fall of ECW DVD did so well is because of all the Raw fans that were curious.

    December to Dismember

...in two different forums. I had no idea which one the mods preferred it to be on, so I made both and let them decide. So blow me, shithead.

We've already got a thread for PPV comments. We don't need another one.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Meltzer said they want to keep Sabu until at least WrestleMania because they want him to induct The Sheik (his uncle) into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

The rule was changed after Great American Bash got so fucked up. Under the new rule, you are only allowed to work televised events and don't get paid for 30 days.
  19. QuestionMan

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Not if they keep paying out big contracts to take WWE talent.....and if I'm a guy like Samoa Joe and I see RVD getting what he makes in WWE then I sure as fuck want some more money..... You have to remember, on some of these big contracts, Spike TV is paying a considerable amount of them.
  20. QuestionMan

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

RVD would be champion and maineventing right now if his dumbass wouldn't keep weed in the car, or smoke it when he drives.....or speed when he's doing it..... To be fair to RVD, where he got busted was a well-known speed trap where the speed limit dips from 55 to 35. Reports said that a lot of other wrestlers were stopped that night as well. But yeah, having drugs in the car was pretty stupid and shallow.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Meltzer said that if TNA continues their current fortunes, they'll be turning a profit shortly.

Ejected for tossing a dollar to her? That's hilarious.
  23. QuestionMan

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Ah alright......I think Benoit was the one who just reupped who had the TNA rumor must have confused them...... Either way we'll see if he has the balls to turn down a contract because during his last contract he was said to be mad about shit and complaining and when they plopped a deal down in front of him he resigned despite tons of reports about him wanting out..... We'll see, still to this day Christian is the only one that had a deal put down in front of him and said no to go to TNA. Well, the big difference is Christian went there at the end of 2005. They were in a much prettier situation than they were back in July 2004 when RVD had the chance to leave. Back then, TNA was still paying FSN to air their show, weren't able to pay the wrestlers as much as they can now, and didn't have a cable station to help them foot the bills on contracts like they do now. The thing that makes TNA so formidable now is that they can make almost as much money with them as they are making now without having to deal with the constant travel and the backstage WWE political jungle gym. Back in 2004 when RVD had to either leave or re-sign, he didn't have much of an option then. If Christian had been in that situation in July 2004, I doubt he would have jumped.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Doing some digging, it seems RVD signed a 3-year deal in July 2004, so it makes sense.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

I truly believe Vince kicked ECW back up with the intent to have it be a lot like what it used to be. The problem was when he got the SciFi deal, NBC kept telling him to put the established stars on the show and that probably warped him into thinking that his version of sports entertainment was more needed than ECW wrestling. It'd be interesting to see where this would have gone if they kept it Internet only or gotten the Saturday, 1am USA network slot.
