The same reason Vince spent $5 million to buy WCW when he knew damn well he wasn't going to do anything with it other than humiliate it.

ECW ON SCIFI MAIN EVENT, SABU'S "INJURY", SNOW VS. BURKE, CW ANDERSON The main event of ECW on SciFi will be new ECW World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley vs. The Big Show for the title, with Big Show invoking his rematch clause. It will be taped tomorrow before Raw. WWE.Com is reporting that Sabu was "treated and released from a local hospital" but wasn't released in time to make it back to the PPV. The reason the Al Snow vs. Elijah Burke match that was advertised on the back of the PPV t-shirts didn't happen is because Snow had a family emergency that he had to deal with. Thus, the match was switched to Burke & Sylvester Terkay vs. The FBI. Christopher W. Anderson is not expected back in the ECW brand until the beginning of 2007. He's been dealing with a herniated disc and two bulging discs.

Hey guys, remember when the main event for the show was supposed to be Rob Van Dam vs. Kurt Angle? Lolz.

TWO MATCHES AT ECW PPV CHANGED ON SHORT NOTICE Sabu being removed from the Elimination Chamber and replaced by Hardcore Holly was a last minute decision made to discipline him for his recent backstage behavior. This is evident as "Hardcore Holly vs. The Sandman" was a listed match on the PPV T-Shirt being sold at the show. According to the t-shirt, Al Snow vs. Elijah Burke was scheduled for the show but was also changed at the last second to Burke & Sylvester Terkay vs. The FBI. No word on why that was changed.

For those claiming that TNA was also sick of Sabu, let me remind you of this quote from Dave Meltzer right when the ECW relaunch was announced: "After Rhino told WWE he had no interest in returning for their ECW project, Sabu has signed a deal to be a part of it. TNA came very close to matching the offer and keeping him. Sabu didn't have a preference, just whoever was offering more money. Both sides wanted him and sources said that WWE's offer was only larger by a few thousand". And the current word going around is that the way Sabu is acting backstage lately gives off the vibes that he "almost wants to be fired." I think all the ECW originals are not too happy about being lied to about the project and don't give a fuck anymore. RVD's contract expires in July 2007 and I bet he's counting the days until he can get the fuck out of there.

Just to give you another example of how little WWE cares about tonight's ECW December to Dismember PPV, they haven't even bothered to tape one of their trademark pre-shows in the studio. -- Meltz

TNA's VKM At Tonight's WWE House Show in Knoxville, TN
QuestionMan replied to QuestionMan's topic in TNA Wrestling
In a move that likely won't make World Wrestling Entertainment management too thrilled when they hear about it, TNA stars Kip and BG James, the Voodoo Kin Mafia, are currently outside tonight's WWE house show in Knoxville, TN playing up their current "war" storyline. The team is flanked by a camera crew, TNA writer Vince Russo, and a group of "fans" with TNA posters and signs. Thus far, VKM have shot vignettes where they attempted to pick up tickets from the box office and complained about the $50 ticket price. They are also interviewing fans that are entering the show, asking them their thoughts on WWE and DX. At this point, no security for the venue or World Wrestling Entertainment has attempted to prevent the TNA crew from continuing to film footage. -
Meltzer is predicting this show to beat out December 1996's "In Your House - It's Time" PPV for the lowest buyrate in WWE history.

Yeah, I remember that. Everyone thought Trish was a lesbo because no one ever saw her with a guy or heard of her dating and was always with Lilian in public.

They devenomed the cobra so basically all it would do was cause a flesh wound.

Speaking of Johnny B Badd don't the WWE now own the rights to the name? They clearly don't. He used it in TNA with no opposition. I'm pretty sure once WCW's trademark expired, he swiped it himself before WWE could.

Former World Wrestling Federation Champion Chris Jericho announced on his MySpace.com page that his XM Satellite radio show "Rock of Jericho" had been canceled due to "a change in the inner structure of XM." Jericho's final broadcast of the heavy metal show will be 12/31. Jericho noted that he's enjoyed doing the show and hopes to continue doing the show via another outlet.

I think WCW realized the heart attack angle sucked as well. That's probably why they eventually came up with "No, Eric Bischoff poisoned him." Me and my friends were around 11-12 years old when the nWo angle started. I was at the arena where Scott Hall debuted and we were like "WAIT THAT'S RAZOR RAMON". When Nash appeared two weeks later, I swear we all thought it was real. The nWo angle was so incredibly awesome when it started. Very, very well done. We were flipping the fuck out when they attacked Bischoff and Nash powerbombed him through that stage. That was unreal for 1996.

I thought Barry Windham feuded with Brian Pillman while Pillman was Yellow Dog? -
In December 1998, "Marvelous" Marc Mero announced on Raw that if he could not defeat Duane Gill, who had just joined Al Snow's JOB Squad, he would leave the WWF. Gill defeated Mero after interference from The Blue Meanie, making his WWF debut. ========== The guy Mero got into it with on Thunder was Tank Abbott. Nothing ever came of it.

They fired Taylor Vaughn (B.B.) for having an affair with a married Bob Holly back in 2000. -
Jesus, can we just kill the brand extension already? People are just showing up on other shows completely unexplained.

Wow...it's been, what? Ten years now? No, Warrior's wrongful termination lawsuit was settled in 2000. Warrior filed a new lawsuit, claiming that WWE broke one of the terms of the settlement when they released the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD. Warrior claims the DVD broke their settlement agreement to not publicly disparage each other.

Mike Johnson of PWI Elite is reporting that attorneys for World Wrestling Entertainment and Ultimate Creations (the parent company of the Ultimate Warrior) are currently scheduled to begin settlement discussions for Warrior’s breach of contract suit against WWE.

He had an affair with Melina, which is why they moved her and Johnny Nitro to Raw. Then he dumped his wife for the DivaSearch reject Rebecca DiPetro that is now an interviewer on WWECW. -
Did the knee brace play a part in this? I know it's what destroyed Beth Phoenix's mouth. I also remember a long time ago, Triple H's knee brace did a huge number to Droz's face after he pedigreed him.

One of my friends died of non-hodgkins lymphoma in 2002. He was playing basketball two days after our high school graduation, and felt so weak he couldn't drive himself home. He was taken to a hospital and they found the lymphoma. He was only 18 and it absolutely ravaged him. He died four months later. It was terrible to see what it was doing to him at the end. He was constantly throwing up and have seizure after seizure after seizure. To be fair though, he had suffered from Crohn's Disease all his life, so it probably assisted in his quick demise. I'm hoping they caught it early enough to where it won't cause Piper any severe problems. Cancer is a bitch.

So wait, Mathews is being punished because he decided it didn't make sense for him to be paid as an announcer when his work and travel schedule was about to go up considerably? Very professional there. -
WWECW is the stupidest shit ever. I can't wait to hear how the crowd heckles One Night Stand '07.
