    The OAO Cyber Sunday Thread

Lita vs. Mickie James was a 9 on the Jackie Gayda meter. If you don't think Lita is counting the days to freedom and phoning it in now, watch this match. And you don't think WWE.Com touched this picture up a bit, do you? But yes, Piper (52) makes Flair (57) look like an Adonis by comparison.

Well, Vince doesn't like shattering kayfabe on UT's deadman character. It's why he wasn't on RAW is OWEN and why he's exempt from the dress code.

Not sure where this news came from so I can't vouch for the validity of it, but it looks like WWE set up Francine in a situation where they could legitmately fire her. -- Right before she was fired, Francine was asked to do pre-show training with agents Steve Keirn and Fit Finlay and she wanted no part of it. This is most likely what led to her dismissal. Francine said in a shoot interview that WWE had wanted her to come there in 2001 to be a valet for the X-Factor stable. However, she said WWE also wanted her to wrestle in the rebuilding women's division. She told them she wasn't interested in wrestling, and turned them down. It's been noted that Vince McMahon was not happy with Francine being hired, classifying her as "ugly" to John Laurinaitis and telling him not to hire anymore women that looked "like that." If this is all true, it's pretty lame that they don't have the nuts to just tell someone that they just don't fit into their plans.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Watch it be Test, Mike Knox, and Heyman's riot squad.
  7. Giant victory On the last ECW on Sci Fi, Rob Van Dam got the break he’s been looking for as he was able to come out on top of Big Show to earn an ECW World Title shot. ECW.com has learned that RVD will challenge the Extreme Giant for his gold this week on Sci Fi. Will the World's Largest Athlete make good on his guarantee to Van Dam? How will Big Show react to being pinned last week by RVD? Can the most dominant athlete in ECW continue his destruction? Or will the massive Extremist come face-to-face with reality? Making impact During last week's main event, Test made his allegiance clear when he ran into the ring and hit RVD with a chair, becoming just another obstacle Van Dam had to survive to reach his goal. But where does Hardcore Holly stand after taking out both Test and Big Show? The Extremist who had been keeping RVD from getting a shot at the title became the man RVD might not have been able to do it without. Has Holly's medical suspension been lifted? What will transpire between Test and Holly on ECW on Sci Fi this week? What is next for Paul Heyman’s most recent right-hand man, ECW's Impact Player Test? Will Striker strike back? In the first-ever Singapore Cane-on-a-Pole Match, Sandman made Matt Striker sorry he ever got involved with the ECW Original. Is the rivalry resolved or will the teacher find a way to strike back? Knox is jealous, Punk After CM Punk topped Rene Dupree for the second straight week, Mike Knox made an appearance. The jealous Extremist, however, backed off in his attack. CM Punk has had the edge so far in this rivalry, but Knox doesn’t appear to be ready to back off for good. How far will Knox’s jealousy take him? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

    WWE Wrestler Salaries

This was found at the DVD boards, but the poster said he found it on another, unnamed board. Should be interesting for discussion purposes. Below is the World Wrestling Entertainment talent roster payroll that was taken from October of 2004 until February of 2006. 700th RAW thread

Tonight, they should really fuck with everyone and set up John Cena vs. Kevin Federline for the WWE Title for next week. Then have former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette failing at doing a run-in for K-Fed. It'd be stupid, but it'd probably get ratings. Cena FUing K-Fed has been all over the national media.
  15. Kingdom on the line Batista’s continuing quest to regain the coveted World Heavyweight Championship will continue on Friday when he takes on King Booker for the gold. Since relinquishing the title in January, the only thing on Batista’s mind has been getting the Championship back around his waist. What will Batista do to make sure things go his way this time? Who will say I quit? On Friday night, the lengthy, bitter and emotional family saga between Chavo Guerrero and Rey Mysterio will come to a dramatic conclusion when they square off in an “I Quit” match. Which Superstar will be driven to such pain where he is forced to do the unthinkable and utter the words “I quit”? What role will Vickie Guerrero play in the match? Run for your life Last week, Montel Vontavious Porter begged Theodore Long for some competition. Long obliged and gave MVP the Big Red Machine. After a few minutes of punishment at the hands of SmackDown’s newest monster, MVP decided he’d had enough and made a B-Line for the locker room. Who will MVP face this week? Will the self-proclaimed franchise player duck out again. And speaking of Kane… Big Red debut What will Kane do in his second week as a SmackDown Superstar? The Big Red Monster was a house of fire in his debut match with MVP. Who’s next for Kane? Rabid Champion Chris Benoit is undefeated since returning to SmackDown at No Mercy. In his SmackDown re-debut, he defeated Mr. Kennedy to become the new United States Champion. What’s next for the crippler? Deadly rivalry Mr. Kennedy and Undertaker’s rivalry intensified last week when Undertaker’s gong provided the distraction which cost Mr. Kennedy his United States Championship. What will the loudmouth have to say about Undertaker’s actions?

  17. After months of facing Paul Heyman's roadblocks including the monstrous Test and malicious Hardcore Holly, Rob Van Dam has clawed his way to the apex of ECW. This Tuesday on ECW on Sci Fi, RVD will need to make the most of what could be his last opportunity to shine against Big Show. With a win, he is promised a shot at the ECW World Title. If he loses, Heyman vows RVD has officially run out of chances at becoming ECW World Champion. Can Van Dam finally slay the dominant monster Big Show? More on Big Show vs. RVD. The last ECW on Sci Fi was a big night for ECW Originals. Sandman got the win for his team in the Six-Man Tag Team Match as he, Sabu and RVD disposed of Matt Striker, Test and the Extreme Giant. Can the Originals carry their success over the new breed into next week? One Original - Sandman - will finally meet his foe, Striker in a most fitting type of match: a Singapore Cane-on-a-Pole Match. How will Striker respond to being pinned by the oft-inebriated Sandman when they square off? With the educator clearly out of his element and the cane legal, how extreme will Sandman get? Also, Tommy Dreamer got revenge on ECW on Sci Fi when he beat Kevin Thorn. The series is tied at 1-1 between these two Extremists. Will this rivalry continue until ECW fans see a clear-cut winner? CM Punk also recorded another impressive victory in a highly athletic contest with Rene Dupree. As the straightedge Extremist's streak continues, could Mike Knox be watching? With his girlfriend participating in Extreme Strip Poker, Knox was not seen on ECW on Sci Fi, but one can be sure that if Kelly Kelly and Punk are in the same vicinity, Knox will not be far behind. Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT.

RIC FLAIR CALLS IN AND CONFRONTS KANYON ON THE HOWARD STERN SHOW by Buck Woodward @ 12:46:00 PM on 10/18/2006 Thanks to Matt Rosenthal for the following, if anyone wants to send along a more detailed recap, feel free! I'm at work listening to Howard Stern on Sirius Satellite Radio, and Chris Kanyon (their newest Whack Pack member) is in the studio to settle a bet he made with Artie Lange about the New York Yankees in the playoffs. Apparently, Artie bet the Yankees would win the World Series or something, and since he lost, Kanyon is making him kiss an 80-year-old porn star or something to that effect. That's not really important, but as soon as Kanyon entered the studio, Howard informed him that Ric Flair was on the phone to discuss Kanyon's accusation concerning his release from the company. I'm at work so I don't have full details, but basically Ric said he was "paid" by Vince to call in and argue that there was NO WAY Kanyon was released due to being homosexual.

ECW's next PPV 'December To Dismember'

Or maybe it just *GASP!* makes the PPV seem important. Honestly, the only difference between PPVs and TV shows these days is a price tag. That's it. A wwECW PPV consisting entirely of Extreme Rules matches would be a great way to convince a casual fan to throw down $40.

That's hilarious that they fire Francine just after doing a big article and new photoshoot with her on ECW's WWE.Com sub-section. Not to mention finally debuting her on TV 2 weeks ago. I'm thinking she asked for her release since they weren't doing jack shit with her. Also, she probably didn't feel good when it became public that Vince made comments backstage at the One Night Stand '06 show about her being ugly and telling John Laurinaitis not to hire any girls who looked "like that".
