    Boogeyman released

Charles Wright retired from wrestling and now owns a strip club in Las Vegas.

    Boogeyman released

Yeah, seriously. The fact they fired Boogeyman for that meanwhile Randy Orton still has a job despite all of the dumb fucking shit that idiot has done in the last year shows you that there is a very skewed agenda in WWE.

    Boogeyman released

Because getting your front teeth pulled out to honor the gimmick and eating worms on TV AND off TV to keep kayfabe alive means he didn't want it bad enough. He didn't have them pulled out. They were knocked out while he was in OVW training in mid-2005.

    Boogeyman released

He didn't just beat them, he totally squashed them. JBL and Booker looked like jobbers against him.
  6. I distinctly remember them not calling it the Anaconda Vice in his debut match against Justin Credible.

Comments which don't warrant a thread

Tommy Dreamer's new "Diary of Violence" on ECW's website claims that Trish Stratus was looking to break into ECW in 1999 but didn't know who to contact. She ran into Raven, who had just quit WCW and returned to ECW, at a comic book convention. Raven asked Stratus for pictures and told her that he would give them to Paul Heyman. Dreamer said that this was when Raven was battling demons, so naturally Raven forgot all about Trish and her pictures. The WWF ended up winning the bidding war over WCW for Stratus' services, and she debuted with the company in March 2000. Dreamer reminded everyone that, "I still hate Raven, nevermore." ========== In his latest Most Extreme Player of the Week article, Joey Styles challenges Jim Ross' suggestion that there shouldn't be an Extreme Rules match every week for ECW on Sci-Fi. While Styles agrees with the idea that having every match Extreme Rules could face shelf life issues, he disagrees that there shouldn't be a weekly Extreme Rules match. He says considering the guests they get from Raw and Smackdown every week, if they took away the weekly Extreme Rules match, there wouldn't be anything to distinguish it from WWE anymore and might as well start calling it "WWE Tuesday Night RawDown!" Styles also defiantly states that every ECW Title match should be held under Extreme Rules. "If the ECW World Champion is not extreme enough to defend the championship under those conditions every time he steps into the ring, then that champion is not extreme enough to represent ECW and should wrestle for RAW or SmackDown."

Remember the rumors a few years ago that Trish Stratus & Lilian Garcia were in a lesbian relationship because they are usually seen together all the time and because no one knew of either having a boyfriend?

WWE signs four wrestlers from the past

I believe it's his sixth or seventh stint with the company. Meltzer said after WWE "severed all professional ties" with Jannetty back before WM22 that it was the 9th time he was fired from WWE.

Vince McMahon had this to say about the old ECW at the recent shareholders conference: "ECW did not have much of a TV show. It was all about vignettes. It was like the wild, wild west. No logic to it whatsoever."

Kanyon did an interview for a Canadian radio show called the O Show recently in which he says that Bret Hart told him at a WCW event in 1999 that Montreal was a work. Has this guy been in attention whore mode lately or what?

    Scott Hall interview

And there's supposed to be 5 more parts to this interview. Great stuff. Hall sounds like he'd be such a great mentor to the younger guys. The story about letting Jericho beat him on Nitro is really great stuff. I'm not looking forward to hear him talk about his alcohol problems though.

Well then who was responsible for the huge change of direction in Raw in late 96, with everything becoming edgy? The Pillman/Austin gun angle. Bret Hart shoving Vince down and swearing on live TV unbleeped which caused Raw to have a 7 second delay. One of the most brilliant wrestling storylines ever done.... in the Austin/Bret feud, Bret's slow realistic heel turn on US fans, and the reformation of the Hart Foundation. Who came up with all of that? Bret shoving Vince down and cursing like a sailor happened a few weeks after Russo took over.

    Randy Orton Fails Drug Test

Randy Orton is the first WWE wrestler to fail a drug test under the WWE Talent Wellness Program's new guidelines - which recently went into effect. Despite his failure in a recent drug test, he will not be pulled off the road. He will continue to appear on both TV and PPV shows, but as a general rule, he is not supposed to appear on house shows for 30 days. Orton didn't appear at any house shows this weekend. For that matter, he hasn't appeared at a house show in about a month. Under the old guidelines, Orton would have been taken off the road for 30 days due to suspension. Also, he would have lost one month's worth of salary. Under the new guidelines, he will continue to work TV and PPV shows, but he will only have his road expenses covered and receive no bonuses for the shows. The only non-change in the new guidelines is that he will have his downside guarantee docked for 30 days. WWE recently changed their guidelines because they didn't want to have to interrupt storylines or change PPV matches if a wrestler was to fail a drug test. WWE officials weren't happy with how things went down for the Great American Bash PPV back in July, and with the results for drug tests for RAW talent just now coming in, they didn't want to risk messing up their plans for the Unforgiven PPV. credit: Dave Meltzer

    Balls Mahoney Shirt Poll

Apparently Vince McMahon is a fan of Balls Mahoney and likes him. It also didn't hurt that Mahoney won Vince over by being the first ECW-ite to follow the WWE dress code. Meltzer said Vince nearly exploded with delight when Mahoney and Sandman showed up to the WWE vs. ECW show back before One Night Stand wearing suits.
