People just have to accept that this WWE-ECW is a completely different thing from the original ECW, and simply judge it on its own merits. I mean, for a one hour wrestling show, I wouldn't say the recent episodes have been all that bad. There's been some decent wrestling, some character development, etc. How much more can they really do with one hour a week?

Yeah...they tried to play off Tugboat as Hogan's new buddy and sometime tag team partner, but I don't think he really caught on with the fans. He was kind of seen as a fat, less cool version of Brutus Beefcake. Also...Crush's heel turn never made sense to me. He blamed Randy Savage, but I don't remember those two ever really being presented as friends, or even them teaming up even one time. Just seemed like Crush was blaming a completely random person.

Call me old fashioned if you must, but I think America should behave in a tough, sovereign fashion, rather than worry about being PC and not offending anyone, just by saying and doing what is right and true.

Which was a ridiculous argument in the media anyway. $1000 for an international flight is pretty common. Isn't your life worth that much money, or would you rather be where the bombs are still dropping?

"Islamo-fascism" has been used in the media, SuperJerk. Hence it's fair game. I get sick of hearing about "the War on Terror". Terrorism is a tactic, not a specific nation or group. Hence, you can't have a war on it. Are we currently at war with the IRA or ETA? No. We are at war with radical Islamic terrorists. I wish we could just SAY that, but our media and president are too worried about offending people.

I basically feel like we're being turned into a bunch of limp wristed pussies. Boys aren't allowed to act like boys anymore. Feminist and homosexual agendas are constantly being pushed. People have to be PC all the time, for fear of losing their jobs or being shunned by the media. Games like tag are outlawed at playgrounds. Children aren't taught the importance of being competitive anymore. It really all makes me quite sick. How can a nation defend itself when it worries about offending the enemy?

HD-DVDs will become standard and affordable eventually...but for right now my upconverting Zenith DVD player does a fine job with my 48" Mitsubishi rear-pro.

That does bring up an interesting point. Hezbollah is not a rag tag band of scrubby men in dirty nightshirts toting AK-47s...they're basically a professional, highly equipped army. Defeating them isn't going to be easy either way.

I remember him showing up one day out of nowhere. Didn't he do a run in on a heel for his debut in WCW? Or maybe he just won a squash match on WCW Saturday Night or something. I can't be sure. It seemed like they were going to push him as a solo face, but his run was pretty short for whatever reason.

Furnas and Lafon were a great team...they had some really awesome matches in AJPW. I thought their angle during their stint in WWF was kind of funny...I think they were sarcastically nicknamed "the world's most exciting tag team" and came out with basically no entrance music and regular wrestling tights and jackets.

According to many, they are just supposed to lie back and let Hezbollah kill them with rockets, until the UN would supposedly step in and ask Hezbollah to stop. Of course, that is completely unrealistic as the UN has repeatedly taken the Arab side in this conflict over the past 50 years. What do you expect, when there are 20+ Arab countries and only one Jewish state? I do think the Lebanese government wants Hezbollah knocked out, but they can't do anything about it. Of course, no one wants to see Lebanese civilians killed, but it's partly a result of their own acceptance and support of Hezbollah.

Anyone else feel that the cable news media seems to be favoring the Lebanese side a little too much on this? I'm not a Sean Hannity type "the liberal media is distorting the whole story" guy, but we don't hear much about how many Israelis have to hide in bomb shelters, etc. We get plenty of interviews about Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilians though. Also, Hezbollah bombed Nazareth today, a site of significance to Christians (and some Jews). However, I doubt we'll see the media getting worked up about this like they did when US marines attacked a mosque in Iraq where terrorists were holed up last year.
