Well, I do believe in God and the creation...and while that video does make me want to eat a banana, how do you explain watermelons? They're heavy, too big, and have seeds in them that you have to pick out. Plus, they're very hard to eat unless you have a knife, and they get your hands and face covered with sticky watermelon juice.

What I don't get, is in posts like the above, people make Bush out to be an idiot...but then the same people will turn around and say Bush in an evil mastermind who faked 9/11 and manipulated the nation into going to war with Iraq? You can't have it both ways.

President of Iran sends a letter to George W. Bush
Dobbs 3K replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Current Events
Their countries, their business. Their cultures, their business. Why do you care about them at all? Oh, I guess we're still living in the 1800s, where people never travel outside their own countries and don't have weapons capable of reaching other nations, etc. Also, what's a global economy? -
Feuds That Could Have Happened But Never Did
Dobbs 3K replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in General Wrestling
Another tag team feud idea...I always thought around '95/'96 that Pillman and Benoit as a team in the Four Horsemen could've had some really great feuds with some tag teams, if Pillman hadn't left pretty soon after Benoit joined the Four Horsemen. I mean, they could've faced Harlem Heat, Luger/Sting, the Steiner Brothers, Blue Bloods, etc. -
Why are people so down on Orton? Is it just 'cause he got pushed so fast right away? I mean, I think he plays a cocky young heel pretty well, and while his wrestling isn't great, he's by no means abysmal in the ring. When he's in there with a good worker, he usually puts on a good match. I mean, I know we've heard about his attitude backstage, but since I've never met the guy, I could care less.

Yeah, I think it was the night after he lost the title the first time, he gave that interview on RAW where he said he was sick of being "corporate" and was going to do things his way, etc. I was somewhat glad, since Diesel annoyed the hell out of me during his first WWF Title run. Well, Nash has pretty much always annoyed me during his entire wrestling career, since he always gives off this "I'm too cool for wrestling" vibe.

Deer are the worst. You really have to look out for them driving here in Wisconsin, especially at night. One time a friend and I were driving back from Milwaukee towards our home town (after seeing Monday Night RAW, actually), and as he was driving, a deer jumped out in front of us. I SCREAMED, and was stomping on the "brakes", even though I was in the passenger seat. Basically, what was so freaky is that in the darkness, the thing looked completely white in the headlights, and I couldn't tell what it was at first. Fortunately, we missed hitting it by probably about three feet.

I'm not saying it should be disregarded, but taking one incident and making it representative of the entire US campaign in Iraq is a complete disservice to the men and women we have fighting and dying over there. And I'm someone who thinks we need to get out of there sooner than later...especially since Bush is clearly not giving the troops adequate personnel and supply support. I mean, some of these soldiers are on their THIRD tour of duty in Iraq. Many troops have mental issues and need therapy after only one...yet we except them all to do their job completely perfectly when they've already been way overworked, and are still in a hostile environment. I'm not saying that excuses incidents like the above, but to be surprised by it is foolishness at this point.

President of Iran sends a letter to George W. Bush
Dobbs 3K replied to Your Paragon of Virtue's topic in Current Events
Look, maybe some of the questions he poses are legitimate, but ignoring the source of the questions or the way the government of Iran treats its own people as well as the international community, is foolish. I mean, this argument sounds like its coming from the same people who say "Yeah, except for maybe slaughtering six million Jews, Hitler did a good job with raising employment in Germany and building infrastructure, so he really wasn't all that bad." -
North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Well, since they're firing towards the Sea of Japan, I doubt that will happen. I think Japan should be quite worried, though. They're already threatening to launch more missiles. If the UN doesn't do anything about it (which won't be surprising), I guess it will fall to the US to deal with the problem again, especially since Russia and China are refusing to take substantive measures. The world has already seen what happens when you give dictators a long leash. -
How about...the Bushwhackers? Anyone else remember that appearance?

I really need to get "UHF" on DVD. My wife has never seen it.

Yes, because incidents like this have never happened in any war before, ever. Most wars are waged with complete thought to leaving innocents alone, and only the bad guys get hurt. Of course, our media is going to run this story into the ground and not report on most of the good stuff our soldiers are doing in Iraq.

North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
I was watching Lou Dobbs on CNN briefly last night, and I think his feelings sum up mine pretty well...basically, he asked "Are we a superpower or not? We have a podunk little country that's a thumbnail on the map running around defying the international community and we haven't done anything about it." He also said he was sick of the "blustering and bravado" of teh Bush administration. Basically he heavily criticized the foreign policy of both the current and the Clinton administrations in regards to North Korea. I think Bush's policy has been mainly to rely on China to prod N.K. into giving up their nuke program, but clearly that isn't going to happen. China's statement after the missile tests two days ago was completely impotent. -
North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Well, the Bush administration has said there would be serious consequences if North Korea conducted a missile launch. So far, the only consequences have been meakly worded phrases from the US and other countries, and more discussion by the UN. When do we actually do something about North Korea? Will we wait unil Seoul or Tokyo or Los Angeles are engulfed in flames to actually take meaningful steps? -
Also, what was up with Sabu talking? That was more talking than I remember him doing in years.

Also, IIRC, Kim's son is already in line to be the next president, and is supposed to be just as bad as his father. -
North Korea Agrees to end Nuke Program
Dobbs 3K replied to Prime Time Andrew Doyle's topic in Current Events
Well, China's statement on North Korea that was released today was extremely limp wristed, so I don't think we can count on them to cut off aid to their ally. Assassinating Kim Jong Il would be fantastic, but the problem is, it's probably pretty much an impossible feat to accomplish. The guy is probably one of the most heavily protected men in the world, with a huge standing army, and rarely goes out in public. I can't imagine the US would be too successful in sneaking in an operative who could get close enough to the bastard to end him. -
Hopefully he will be buried and not cremated, so at least people he screwed over can come and piss on his grave.

http://board.deathvalleydriver.com/index.php?showtopic=294 This link has most, if not all, of the Observer quotes on WCW, as far as I can tell.

Well, I'm of the opinion that while Hogan was never, ever, a great worker, he was at least passable in the ring. He had enough athleticism to get the job done. Hell, even some of his early matches in his WCW run were decent (of course, he had guys like Sting and Ric Flair to work with). But, his last few matches with WWE haven't been very watchable at all. I wish he'd just admit that he's getting to old for this, and hang it up. It would be one thing if the match vs Randy Orton is the "one final retirement match for Hulk Hogan", but we all know it won't be. It's not like he has anything else to still prove in the wrestling business.

I'm wondering if the US could get away with dropping a nuclear weapon on North Korea in retaliation at this point. -

Yeah! Everyone knows that none of them there A-rabs are to be trusted!! Maybe not all of them, but most of their governments are completely awful despotic abominations. -
Well, I'm of the midn that sanctions generallly don't work anyway. I mean, look at Cuba.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I wonder what show that occured on. I would guess AWA, but I don't remember Stomper ever being there.
