Oh, well, I hate basketball anyway, but I was just citing it as a legitimate sport. Could you please dump House from your sig? I hate looking at his face and refuse to watch his show for religious reasons. Maybe you could switch to using a dead baby? Those seem to be all the rage these days.

Remember when the Hart Foundation wore blue? I think that was neat! His best article of clothing was Goldberg's boot that he wore as a hat that one time.

The OAO Mystery Science Theater 3000 Thread

So...why did Comedy Central have such a vendetta against MST3K? I remember them moving it around the channel lineup so much that I thought the show had been cancelled at one point, only to find it on at like midnight or something. WTF? -
Cheap Seats is awesome. I wish they would get a little meaner. Although, the time they made fun of the person falling down the mountain during a skiing accident was pretty cool. Could they show more than old billiards and spelling bees on ESPN Classic otherwise? What happened to all the baseball and basketball games? Hell, if they are that desperate, why don't they show some classic pro-wrestling (more than that one fucking episode of 1981 Mid-South) since it's at least something people would actually be interested in watching? Maybe they could wedge it in between one of the endless "BUTTFUCKPOKERGALLERY.BIZ TOURNAMENT OF ASSHOLES YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF!" programs on any of their six or seven channels? Ooooo...cards on TV! Let me watch while I check my prostate!

Way to fucking lay down for the Royals, Brew Crew.

Did it say "(Snort coke instead.)" after that?

What a ridiculous premise for a thread.

If Sandman is so dependent on one song to get over, maybe they should just fire him and be done with it.

Well, John Kerry ran a terrible campaign. Whoever runs for the Democrats needs to actually state positions on the issues and bring up more than their military career as a selling point. Adding to that...look where we are right now. High gas prices, a rough economy (maybe getting better, but not for many middle class Americans), a failed Middle East policy, problems with Iran. A president with a very low approval rating. Sound familiar? If you were alive more than 25 years ago, it should be very familiar. The Democrats need their own version of Ronald Reagan. I don't care who it is...Russ Feingold, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, whoever...whoever it is, they need to make America feel good about being America again. It doesn't even matter what their stated policy is. If they can go out, talk about putting America back to work doing great things and facing down its problems, they're going to win in a landslide.

The thing is...it's five years later. It can't possibly be the same ECW! Yet, the mutants seem to complain about every little change, as if it's sacrilege! Hey...you wanted ECW back, and they're giving it to you. It's going to take time to tweak the product...this past week's show was a huge improvement over the debut show, etc. Just enjoy the ride for what it is. That said using "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" for ECW is retarded, since WWF/WWE ran that into the ground a couple years ago, and it's going to be identified as a WWE type song.

That brings up another team I really liked...Money Inc. It seemed like Dibiase and Rotunda were a natural pairing that no one had ever really thought of before. They had some awesome matches against the Steiners, too. Sure, they held the WWF Tag Titles, but no one really brings them up much when you talk about great tag teams of the past.

No, there has to be something fishy going on...a mortgage is a binding loan agreement. The bank can't just say "Oh, you have to pay up 25 years early or you're out a house." (Assuming he's on a standard 30 year fixed mortgage). Also...WTF happened to all his money from "Saved by the Bell?" I mean, he was pretty young when he started on that show, so I assume his parents managed his money. I can't believe he blew it all, unless he had some huge drug habit or something...Dustin Diamond doesn't really strike me as one of those wild Hollywood kids who hung out at the Viper Room every weekend or something.

Warrior was in Slim Jim commercials? I only remember the Savage ones. I seem to remember hearing about the British Bulldogs being in cereal commercials in the 80's...anyone remember those?

Here's one...a lot of people know about Killer Kahn's early '80s WWF run, and his big feud with Andre the Giant (I think he kayfabe broke Andre's ankle). However, when I first started really getting into WWF in the late 80's, I remember seeing Kahn on WWF Superstars beating the crap out of some jobber. I'd swear there was blood, but my memory as a youngster probably has just faded. Anyway, did Kahn do anything during this run or have any major feuds? I remember him spitting mist and being managed by Fuji, I think.

I've never owned too many wrestling shirts. I had a "RAW IS WAR" t-shirt from '98...also had a _talking_ Stone Cold Steve Austin t-shirt...it had this little battery pack that connected to four points on the front of the shirt, and if you pushed one you'd hear one of his catch phrases. I was never too brave to wear that one in public (I think my mom bought it for me for Christmas one year). About the only one I'll still wear occasionally is my "Badstreet USA" one...it's the vintage black one with the red logo. Most people assume it's a band shirt or something.

I'm convinced that as long as whoever the Democrats nominate runs a campaign based around "the last 8 years have been terrible for America and it's time for a change", they'll beat whoever the Republicans field pretty easily.

Ric Flair winning the WWE Tag Titles with some schlub in that commercial for...um...Snickers, I think?

They can't leave until the Iraqi government is on solid footing. Otherwise would be like going into someone's house, wrecking the place, admitting you made a mistake, and then leaving without helping them repair their house.

She'll get what's coming to her, one way or the other.

Futurama deserves a second chance, simply based on the fact that FOX dicked around with it on its schedule so damn much.

What would really be so wrong with that, though? You could even pay them minimum wage to do it.

I would probably vote for Gore again, but the problem he has is that this movie that just came out is going to make him seem like even more of a neo-hippy liberal. People don't want someone running the country who they think is going to make them start riding bicycles and recycling bath water or something.

I always kinda liked Luger, especially in his second WCW run from about '95 through '99 or so. I liked his angle where he was Sting's partner, but he was also managed by Jimmy Hart and allied with the Dungeon of Doom.

My favorite Roger Clemens moment of all time: The 2004 All-Star Game. 'nuff said.

Um...isn't the ECW Arena a pretty small building? How were they going to do pyros in there to begin with without burning the place down?
