Around 20-25,000 dollars, I believe.

Criticizing the war in Afghanistan because there have been a few civilian casualties is asinine. There are innocents killed in every war. It is impossible to conduct a flawlessly perfect war where only the enemy is killed. It's a fact of life that the innocent will suffer for the crimes of their government. I visited Dresden in Germany last year. If you know history, you know Dresden was severely bombed by the Allies right at the end of the war, and many people died. We took a tour of the city, and the German woman giving the tour told us "We knew the Nazis started the war, and it was inevitable that it would come back to us." -
I'm almost positive Luger did make at least a few public appearances in different parts of the country, though I could be wrong.

Yeah, I'm totally not looking forward to that match. Triple H should just beat the crap out of all five of them backstage with his sledgehammer before the match even takes place. Or, maybe have him take them out one at a time throughout the night, leaving it to be Triple H vs Kenny or something.

Sounds like something from Arbitron (the company that handles radio ratings).

I think the best thing to do would have Vince come out and say that RVD is NOT the WWE Champion, because a legitimate referee did not count the pinfall. However, he goes on to say that Cena did not successfully retain the belt, and that at Vengeance, John Cena takes on Edge for the held up WWE Championship (since Edge is the number one contender anyway). RVD can come out with Heyman and say "screw this", and plug tomorrow night's ECW show. Heyman can declare him the first ECW World Heavyweight Champion right there. Maybe Vince can take a Van Daminator before RVD and Heyman storm off. Basically, it would set up the next WWE PPV main event, and give RVD a legit beef, while also giving him a reason to be recognized as the new ECW champion. It would also make ECW seem more like the cool, upstart promotion that it should be portrayed as.

I think the worst are the big groups of cyclists that will come through an area. I helped with a "corn and chicken roast dinner" at a park here in town last year, and they were all like "Don't you have a recycling bin? We don't like that you only have trash." I was just like "Eh, whatever, I don't make the decisions". I should've told them "Well, we could have recycling bins, but they'd all end up in that same dumpster out back, anyway." I think what really pissed me off was I had been collecting the huge amounts of trash from about 10 different trash cans all day, risking getting stung by bees, and these guys were finding something to complain about.

I've been approached about so many multi-level-marketing and pyramid scheme companies over the past few years, it's pretty sickening. Of course, I've been in sales for about four years (retail, and then outside sales), so it's inevitable. I'm sure if you work really hard, you can make money on them, but I think a lot of people just end up blowing a bunch of their savings on buying product (perfume, whatever it is) and then never make all that money back. Plus a lot of it is just an emphasis on recruiting more people, which doesn't seem like a real solid business plan.

The ratings are based on a tracker box or device installed in "Nielsen family" homes, but I believe they do conduct phone surveys as well to get a broader picture about listening habits, etc.

I agree with snuffbox, as far as the administration's favoring of the upper class, and slow elimination of the middle class. Also, look at the influx of cheap labor the administration favors. Basically building a low "peasantry class" of foreign labor, and boosting the wealthy.

Great Interview With Paul Heyman About ECW

I know someone like that in real life, and yeah, it's pretty weird. I wouldn't be bothered if they tried something like this in ECW. -

Don't be a fool. None of those countries have done anything directly to us, to the extent of the terrorist attacks perpetrated on 9/11. Oh, but if I had my way, we would have no troops in Saudi Arabia, and we wouldn't give any aid to any of the Arab countries, at least ones that sponsored school that preach anti-American hate and work against our ally Israel, etc. -
I wouldn't mind Jarrett so much if he underwent a character overall and did a face turn at this point. Let's face it, he's not leaving TNA anytime soon, so at least he could do something to make himself a little less boring. I could live with Jarrett turning face, having one last run with the NWA Title, and then retiring to a management position, only wrestling occasionally. Doubt that will happen, but it would be for the best.

Sorry if it was brought up already, but it was nice to see Baseball Tonight do a good segment on Bill Hall's walk-off home run against the Padres yesterday. They did a short interview with him and brought up his stats, etc.

Just because Bonds and Giambi are "guilty in the minds of the fans" doesn't mean they shouldn't be punished or prosecuted for their crimes (if they did commit them).

- People who endlessly quote movies or TV shows during normal conversation. - When you watch a wrestling show and someone has misspelled a really easy name. Remember when you always used to see signs for "Brett Hart" or "Sean Michels", etc? If you really like the guy, at least get his freaking name right. - The fact that the worst drivers always seem to be the people with the crappiest vehicles. Fine, I understand why you don't care about your rusted out pickup truck, but please don't hit my '04 Sebring while you joyride, OK? Especially since you probably don't have insurance either... - News stories on affiliate station newscasts that are thinly veiled advertisements for a network show, or worse, a product that is made by a subsidiary company connected to the corporation that owns the network. - People who think they're better than everyone else just because they bicycle regularly, or don't own a television.

The music was part of what made ECW special, and I think was part of the underground appeal. That said, I don't think the music isn't going to make or break the new ECW. It's just not that important to the average wrestling fan, as long as Vince has his production crew come up with some cool new music for the ECW guys.

Scarily enough, I think Weird Al was the first musician I was really into. I probably wore out my cassette of "Off the Deep End". I always loved "Trigger Happy." Also, I can't remember the title, but the one song where he talks about tying up his prom date and leaving her in the desert and other messed up stuff like that.
-
Was Gordy any good in ECW, or was he in "Executioner" form by that point? I, sadly, have never seen any of his ECW stuff.
-
Yeah, but "Loose Change" contains basically all the arguments of the people who think 9/11 wasn't perpetrated by Al-Quaeda. So basically, if it's bullshit, all the arguments are as well.
-
That's what happens when you let the media report on a breaking legal case almost non-stop, and their "reporting" consists of interviewing "experts", followed by wild speculation and reading viewer e-mails on the air.

I use that as my "spray" on Day of Defeat 2. OK, so if I understand correctly, deficit spending is good because the dollar is strong...and it will stay strong forever, I'm assuming?

Invading Afghanistan was completely 100% justifiable and necessary. Those fuckers had it coming. Or maybe we should've just left the Taliban in place so they could've kept harboring terrorists, terrorizing their own people, and stoning women to death for exposing their ankles, etc. Why some of you are so tolerant of the barbarians is beyond me. -
I didn't literally mean they should do that guys. I just think they need to keep sending the message to the other Al-Quaeda scum that this is how they'll end up if they continue opposing the US.

Well, at least it's been proved that the "documentary" that this entire thread was based on is complete bullshit.
