I've never understood this thought that if a guy returns to the ring when he's older, suddenly he's "destroying his legacy" or whatever. Does Foley coming back erase everything he's accomplished in professional wrestling? No, of course not.

Well, I don't think he (Animal) wanted to wrestle as a singles guy, so good for him, I guess. I don't get why they tried to turn him into just "the Road Warrior" recently. That was pretty weird.

I don't get why everyone's screaming now about the building materials being recycled. What were they supposed to do? Leave it so more toxic dust and stuff could fly into the air and make people sick?

Just heard a story about the family of a dead soldier suing this group for disrupting his funeral. Their rationale is that a funeral is a private event, so Phelps' group has no right to protest at it. I hope they shut him down for good. Also, I still don't get how they can draw the rationale between "soldiers dying in combat" = "God's punishment for America's tolerance of gays." You could just as easily throw out there that it's God's punishment for our tolerance of illegal immigration, or abortion, or our love of fast food, etc. Also, I understand this church group is made up mainly of Phelps' relatives, so it's not like this is actually some legitimate church organization that's gaining followers or anything.

Was I the only one who thought RAW was actually entertaining last night? What I liked: - I marked for Sabu. They had the table set too far away for him to make the full jump, but it still looked brutal when the chair landed on Cena. - Haas and Nitro had a nice little match. I think Nitro has a lot of potential now as a singles guy (especially if Melina stays with him). - Carlito brought the workrate in his match against Shelton. I mean, that pinning sequence was pretty sweet at the end. - The Triple H angle with Vince, while stupid, at least had some humor in it. Also, what's up with this new team, the Highlanders they have coming in?

Guys, Jack Black is way too big a star at this point to seriously do anything with WWE.

Dayton was a HARDCORE market for ECW. Some of the hottest crowds and shows came from Dayton. Dayton is smark haven as it's one of ROH's top markets as well. Trust me, WWE actually did something right by booking the show in Dayton. After NYC, Philly and Chicago...Dayton was the best location for the show. How is Dayton out of the way for ECW? They ran shows in Florida, Milwaukee, Michigan, New Orleans, Chicago and Los Angeles (sure only once but had it stuck around, they would've done more LA shows). It wasn't a NYC/Philly exclusive promotion. A lot of people assume that the Eastern seaboard is the only part of the country that gives a damn about wrestling, or aren't complete marks.

I went to a private school, and we didn't have a prom. I don't feel I missed much, based on stories I've heard. Of course, I was pretty much one of the uncool kids, so I doubt I would've been able to get a date (or that I would've really tried to get one).

I always liked Toad...I think mainly because he was the coolest character in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show.

Yeah, that was basically just a distraction to kill time. Also kind of made the match seem more intense. I was browsing WWE's title history section, and noticed they're trying to link the Women's Title with the original one Fabulous Moolah had (sort of). I always wondered...did Moolah really hold the title for three decades? If so, did she just rarely defend it, or was it just kind of "Well, there's really no other well known women to put it on?"

I could never believe how Russo was able to get away with such racism on live TV. I mean, Bill Watts got fired from WCW about ten years prior for doing a questionable interview, but Russo basically only got fired because ratings were tanking. Weird to see them finally acknowledge Viscera's KotR win, even in a roundabout way. "Badd Blood - Goldberg vs. Chris Jericho June 15, 2003" I seriously don't remember this one. What was the backstory here? (I mean for the match in WWE, I know about the WCW stuff).

I think that must be a joke the poster put in (though I'm not bothering to double check). Vince basically said on RAW last week he wasn't going to have a new GM right now, thus we have Coach in his new role.

No, it's the fact that most of the theories people have come up wtih are completely insane, without any real solid proof as back up. I don't count the stories put forth by bitter liberal former government employees as real concrete proof. As far as the Castro thing someone else put out...have you ever heard the other stuff the government planned involving Cuba? Like the plot to make Castro's beard fall out? The government couldn't stand the fact that there was/is a communist nation 100 miles south of Florida. It was during the red scare.

Well, most of the west coast media assumes everything between New York and LA is fly-over country filled with soccer moms and gap toothed NASCAR fan hicks, so the headline is accurate in their view.

Don't even get me started on Bose....lol The anti-christ of home theater systems. The biggest ripoff, IMO, I have ever seen for the quality of electronice they produce. I would agree that their products are definitely overpriced. However, you have to remember they're not trying to appeal to audiophiles. They appeal to people with disposable incomes who want something that looks nice and is easy to use, and sounds good to them (better at least than the typical crummy stereos most people have). Their newer "Lifestyle" complete home theater systems are actually really well designed (though you can get much nicer systems for the money).

Ugh...my Brewers have been sucking lately, having lost their last six in a row, worst losing streak of the season for them. Just goes to show how much damage losing two starting pitchers (Sheets, Ohka) can do.

The Bono one is my personal fave.

I had something similar to this happen to me last summer (though not as bad). I was driving to my work office and was about two blocks away when this guy in a small grey two door car starts veering into my side of the road. He's clearly not paying attention (looked like he was messing with his radio or something). I honked three times but he didn't budge, so I ended up having to swerve off onto somebody's lawn at the last second and kind of maneuver around a tree. Of course, he never bothered to stop or even slow down.

I personally think Nirvana's importance is a slightly overstated. Yes, I remember how popular they were, but really, their impact was basically only three albums (Nevermind, In Utero, Unplugged), and they were really only known for about three years before Kurt Cobain killed himself. Yes, I understand their music was great (it's not too my liking, but I can appreciate it for what it is), but let's be honest...they borrowed heavily from a lot of bands like Dinosaur Jr., the Pixies, etc. Nirvana's music isn't as "ground breaking" as some people like to think.

It's gotta be money. A lot of these guys probably wasted the big bucks they made in the '80s on drugs, booze, women, bad investments, etc.

By the way guys, let's not be ignorant. Most of the countries this system is being piloted in aren't desolate wastelands. Yeah, they might have issues and be somewhat poor, but it's not like the people Brazil or Egypt are all starving to death.

Well, if his budget is only 200 bucks, there's not many other options. There are some decent HTiB systems out there. I know Onkyo is supposed to have a couple really good ones for under 500 bucks, and Sony's mid level systems are supposed to be decent. Sony's receivers aren't that bad...I think Sony products tend to be slightly overpriced, based on their name recogntion (most people think Sony = awesome electronics). I have a friend who has a Sony receiver, and it sounds pretty good with his small "cube" home theater speakers. But yeah, it comes down to the size of the room and what you plan to use it for. If it's a small room (like a bedroom) the above system will probably be fine. If you're talking a large open concept living room with cathedral ceilings, then it's probably not going to cut it. I used to work at a Bose store (known for their small cube systems), and I hated how people always seemed to have huge rooms like that, and think a small two speaker system would be adequate for a room like that.

Because it's not about eye witness accounts. There's footage of a large object hitting the Pentagon, just like there's footage of the planes hitting the WTC towers. Yeah, I know the object in the Pentagon footage is hard to see, because it's moving very fast. But, we know a plane was headed that way, and then was gone, etc. Snopes.com has a great section devoted to all these 9/11 myths, including the supposed missile or truck that exploded in the Pentagon.
