Triple H is a guy who really should've developed an alternate finisher by now, if just for variety. They tried to give him one for a while with the sleeper hold (remember that???), but that didn't last long.

6-6-06 = staged terror attack to promote war with Iran ??
Dobbs 3K replied to a topic in Current Events
Hey, that explains why I saw so many boats out on Lake Superior this weekend. Those bastards were beginning to drain the lake! Well, you're on the internet and you said it, so it must be true. -
They're claims with no serious evidence to back them up, and nothing more. That's what I think about them. Really, some of these claims would make exciting movie plots, but they have no serious basis in reality.

Sounds like some total crap the writer pulled out of their ass, just like all this conspiracy nonsense. Hey, did you know about that plan the government has to drain the Great Lakes and sell all the water to Halliburton in order to fund the upcoming war with Iran? US government boats have been seen patroling the Great Lakes for months now! See, I can play this game too! -
NYC and DC no longer in danger of terrorist attacks.

Uh...Governor George Pataki and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg are both Republicans, last I checked, unless you were being sarcastic. Just goes to show you the complete hypocrisy of the Bush administration. The President loves to talk about the supposed "war on terror" and "learning the lessons of September 11th", but has been completely incompetent in actually making sure this nation is defended, especially in terms of large cities and our southern border. Can someone please punish this administration yet, or do we have to suffer until 2008? I'm sick of them getting away with this bullshit. -

The media in general, especially cable news right now, is downright awful. Why people continue to watch that crap is beyond me. They report and stress stories about perverts and supposed epidemics, but do very little actual news gathering. It's all talking head interviews and wild speculation. Virtually no news packages or real in depth reporting anymore. Pretty sad. -
Black Flag and Fugazi were both hardcore, post-punk bands. Black Flag is probably the more famous, since Henry Rollins was their lead singer for a while. Fugazi kind of evolved from another band called Minor Threat, which was sort of the first "straight edge" band. I couldn't tell you about the other two.

So...did anyone actually watch it yet?

Vocals: Bono (U2...duh) Bass Guitar: Matt Freeman (from Rancid) Drums: Tre Cool (Green Day) Lead Guitar: Jack White (White Stripes) Yeah, that would be...weird.

As far as strictly hard rock/metal bands, that list might suffice. If they truly mean simply "top 25 most important rock bands", then it's completely wrong. Like was mentioned, U2 should be somewhere if that's the case, as well as the Police, and probably a few New Wave bands as well. The Pixies should probably be there, as they influenced probably a quarter or even a third of the bands on that list.

Lashley's "spear" looks more like a flying shoulder block to me.

I'm surprised and also somewhat pleased they are running three consecutive dates in Wisconsin. Maybe someone in WWE realizes that people in Wisconsin actually like wrestling. (I know, they do run here regularly, but it seemed like for quite a while they were pretty skimpy on running dates here, even though they usually draw well).

I've never liked Bishop too much. I didn't see the point in having two time traveling mutants (Cable being the other one). Also, I remember there being a ton of hype about Bishop's debut, because he was the first "new" X-Men member in quite a while (or so it seemed like). Maverick kind of falls under the same category, now that I think about it. I'm kind of tempted to mention Rogue, just because she was so annoying with how she couldn't touch anybody, but was always being a cock tease with Gambit.

Yeah, it's definitely weird having two "hardore" guys like Ian and Seinfeld (I know Anthrax wasn't really hardore, but you know what I mean) trying to mesh with rockers like Nugent, Bonham, and Sebastian Bach. I think they should've either taken five rockers or five metal/hardcore guys, not try to mix both together. Also, what's the point if Jason Bonham is going to be gone for half the series (at least by the sounds of it)? Doesn't seem like they planned this out very well.

That guy knows how to throw a party, that's for sure.

Whoever wrote that should've lived in the Soviet Union 30 or 40 years ago. Sounds like they would've loved it (other than the military part).

No, that model has a digital receiver built in.

Yeah, I can't believe they broke up MNM already. They've basically only been together as a team for one year, and never really got to have even one really big, meaningful feud (their recent one with London and Kendrick doesn't count). They could've done so much more with them as a tag team, and you just know both guys are going to flounder as singles for a long time.

Angle as the new ECW wrestler was a pretty big surprise to me. I think it could work pretty well. Definitely gives ECW some credibility, IMO. Call me crazy, but I like the idea of this new Kane. Hey, at least it's SOMETHING they're doing with Kane now...rather than just have him squash people endlessly and switch between face and heel like he's been for the past couple years. It at least gives him a new feud. The new Kane really pulled off the '97 Kane thing pretty well...they need to fix his wig, though.
-
Part of the problem is ECW never toured a lot of the cities WWE is now running in with this angle. Why should people in Tacoma care about ECW if they only were able to see it on TV, probably very late in ECW's original lifespan, and ECW never ran any shows there? WWE is trying to act like ECW was this huge national promotion, when really it wasn't.

Brewers beat the Phillies 9-6 last night, and go for the sweep today. Brewers already swept the Phillies once this season a couple weeks back.
