You're right about the 50%+ income tax...that is a European style tax system, and it doesn't work. I also agree on the Republicans focusing too much on social issues like abortion and gay marriage...look, I'm not in favor of abortion, but we're not ever going to get rid of it completely either. The GOP has had plenty of chances to end it or restrict it further, but never have, so let's quit talking about it already. As far as the war...I originally supported it, but now I don't, since we obviously haven't found any WMDs. The President should pay for that mistake, in one way or another. That's why I voted for John Kerry. The only point you made that I don't agree with is that we sent too many troops...most experts, like Colin Powell, have said we started with too FEW. If you're going to fight a war, you do it right and send enough people, and have enough supplies and weapons. You don't try and pretend this is going to be short and sweet, and undersupply the troops.

I'm unfamiliar with deathvalleydriver's website and couldn't find the download section. Do you have a link or something? I thought A-Train was decent in WWE. Definitely not as bad as some would make him out to be. I think a lot of people crap on him because they remember his stupid gimmicks and not his ring work.

Also, if he's just going to be an on-air "authority figure" personality, what is the point? The average joe six pack isn't going to give a crap about Jim Cornette on their TV. Maybe they'll tune in the first time they see him delivering a blistering anti-WWE promo, but that's about it.

I wouldn't mind Jeff Hardy coming back, assuming he has his working boots on. Maybe team him with Matt again or something. If they have a drug stipulation for him, maybe they should put an appearance clause in his contract, as well. He looked like a total freak in TNA, with the whole "paint can explosion" look.

The problem with guys like this is that they act like idiots, and people try to spin it into "this is what all Christians are like."

I remember that and just laughing my ass off when Wrath ran by Jericho. For some reason most of the backstage brawls and segments WCW did ended up being really unintentionally hillarious. They just never figured out they should stop trying to copy WWF with stuff like that if they couldn't get it right. Remember that brawl between...I think it was the nWo and nWo Wolfpac? I remember Nash throwing punches at Hall and just laughing, and then Hall really exagerrating getting thrown into a wall. It was obvious that none of these guys cared enough to make stuff look real.

Last night was really funny. The Office is definitely my favorite TV show at the moment. I loved the security card moment: "This is huge...I'm not a security threat...and my middle name isn't Fart!"

Neither do I. My knowlege of WCW gets pretty hazy after '99. That sounds like a storyline Russo booked where it happened on an episode of Thunder, and was forgotten by that Monday.

I think there's a lot of reasons to be optimistic about WWE right now, or really pro-wrestling in general. But, to limit the conversation to WWE, you have to admit they are at least trying to make new stars again. We have Misterio as the World Heavyweight Champion, for crying out loud. Even if his reign is short, who would've ever said even last year he'd ever hold the title? We're starting to see the seeds laid for some potentially interesting storylines, most notably the ECW stuff and maybe DX coming back. Unfortunately, you'll note both of those storylines are on RAW. What does Smackdown have going for it? The Undertaker waiting to come back for the umpteenth time to get revenge on a monster heel? The main problem is, for every step forward this promotion takes, they seemingly take two steps back. I was very excited when Edge won the WWE Championship...I'm not even a huge Edge fan, but it was nice to see someone new holding a world title. But then, they jobbed him out after a couple weeks, and now he seems to be lost again in an upper midcard existence. I guess I just wish they'd decide who exactly they want to push, how they want to do it, and then just stick with that direction.

When I was like, 14, a group of us were hanging out and one guy farted (he was kind of the really dorky guy none of us really liked). Anyway, he just started laughing, and someone called "doorknob." Two of my friends rushed the door and covered the knob so he couldn't reach it, and then me and this other guy started wailing on him. I was sitting on his chest and punching him. It was great.... Ah, good times.

Even more name calling. Look, there are two separate issues at work: 1) The border is basically completely open right now. It's not just Mexicans coming across. The President likes to give lip service to fighting terrorism, and "learning the lessons of September 11th", but he's failed miserably in regards to this gaping hole in national security. We don't know if the people coming across have diseases or criminal records. There needs to be a system in place to deal with and process anyone coming into the country, regardless of whether they want to work here or not, or how long they want to stay. 2) We already have a lot of illegal Hispanics here in this country, and that will have to be dealt with one way or another. I'm all in favor of people coming here to work, and making an honest living. But...they need to go through the system just like everyone else. We have rules for a reason, not just to be a bunch of pricks like the rest of the world makes our nation out to be. It just galls me that some people feel the US should just be an open state where anyone and everyone can come in, and not face any consequences for not following the established laws. Borders and culture make up the identity of America, or any nation...to remove them means you are breaking down what makes a country strong.

On a recent edition of Wrestlecrap, they mentioned the episode where Rocky King and Barry Horowitz became honorary Freebirds. What was the deal with that?

I'm kind of surprised WWE never picked up Ms. Jones as a diva or something. I seem to remember her being half decent on the mic.

If I ever woke up with Triple H in my bed, I think I'd jump out a window or something. I love Austin, Rock, Mankind...but it's time to move on. None of them are ever going to work a regular schedule again. Bringing them back for a match every once in a while just takes away from all the guys who've been busting their asses to make it in WWE. Everytime one of them comes back and takes up TV time, it makes guys like Cena, Edge, and Misterio look second rate.

People forget that DX wasn't just HBK and Triple H...they had Chyna and Rick Rude, then X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws. Two guys together is just a tag team, and I don't see what purpose teaming these two together at this point is going to accomplish. Frankly, I think the DX rumors are a little overblown...Triple H and HBK have been interacting on TV in various ways for the better part of five years now, and their characters are basically interlinked to some degree. Now that HBK is doing crotch chops again, everyone assumes DX is coming back?

Weren't Hogan and Beefacake already kind of friends on TV before that? I seem to remember Beefcake coming to Hogan's aid on the Megapowers explode episdoe of SNME. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

Giants lead the Brewers 2-0 going into the 8th inning. Bonds if 0-for-3 so far. Basically a pitchers' duel so far.

That'd require people to be at the game. I've been watching you guys on FSN North, the attendance is terrible sometimes. During weeknight games, yes. Milwaukee is basically a blue collar, middle class town, and weeknight attendance doesn't start picking up until late May, when kids get out of school. Weekends have been pretty good for attendance, thus far.

Well, Barry Bonds and the Giants are coming to Miller Park for two games starting tonight, with Bonds two away from Babe Ruth's record. I expect a lot of booing from the Milwaukee fans. Maybe someone will run onto the field and take a swipe at him?

The latest issue of Rolling Stone has an article entitled "Is Bush the Worst President in US History?" or something like that. While it definitely fits in with Rolling Stone's completely liberal agenda, I read it and found it to be a pretty good article about Bush's shortcomings, without using swearing or having the author insert himself into the article like many Rolling Stone pieces. The author makes a really good point about how Bush uses the war on terror, which is a war on a tactic and not a nation, to excuse everything he's done since 9/11.
