Supposedly the Rockies and Brewers both have interest in Jason Kendall. I'm sure he'd make a nice, small upgrade at the catcher position for quite a few teams, possibly.

I know Hogan has made a lot of money over the years, but enough to start a new promotion? I tend to doubt it.

Do they really need Mike Lowell that badly, or are they just trying to spite the Red Sox?

Smackdown is still much better as a wrestling show compared to RAW, but RAW was decent enough this week, and they did a good job hyping the PPV.

They'll probably make him do a bunch of community service and pay a fine, and that will be about it.

I made it to Level 10. I probably would have gotten past, but I screwed up when they asked for Malawi and put the marker around Mali. Fun game, though. Makes you think on your toes a bit.

I doubt the Yankees would worry too much about giving up a couple young arms or whatever to the Rays, if they ended up getting Ben Sheets and maybe another pitcher for next season. Again, I doubt it will happen, but it's not that outlandish.
-
Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but there is a rumor being discussed on brewerfan.net of a Ben Sheets/Carl Crawford trade, with the Yankees getting involved to make it a three way trade. I doubt it will happen, but it's interesting at least.

Yeesh...Chicago/Oakland is tied 3-3 with the 3rd quarter basically done.

What past president do you think George W. Bush compares most closely to? Certainly, none of the reasonable comparisons can be that flattering.

Since Czech questioned Satellite Radio...

Yeah, you'll get a "no name" brand like a Vizio or whatever...but honestly, I can't tell the difference in picture quality between two LCDs hooked up to a high def source. You may not get all the features of a "name brand", but the average person doesn't care about that stuff. Prices keep coming down...I worked in an electronic store back in '02-'03, and the first plasma we carried was a Philips 42" HD-ready set for $7,000. That included a separate (bulky) tuner box you needed to even make the thing's picture look halfway decent. Now you can get a similiar set for between one and two grand. I don't know...I've had my Mitsubishi 48" rear projection set for over four years now, and have really enjoyed it. I don't regret spending the approximately two grand on it, one bit. DVDs and video games on a big screen are pretty cool, not to mention high def programming. -

HDTVs are not that expensive anymore. You can get a decent sized screen for about $500 now (a flat panel one, even). Sure, you'll pay a little bit more for the bigger sizes, but when wasn't that true? As far as satellite radio, I'm often in my car for an hour and a half or more during a weekday. I enjoy actually having different options for radio, rather than the typical regurgitated classic rock, conservative talk, and boring local sports coverage. Sure, I have a CD player and MP3 player, but it's cool to hear stuff on the music channels I wouldn't hear otherwise. -
What should they have done instead? Used a magic time-freezing device to make her stop moving?

My grandparents who lived through the Great Depression and World War II said FDR gave them hope and basically "pulled this country up by the bootstraps". It's too bad we can't have a president like that anymore.
-
I still say that MLB needs to have a rule where a player has to be under a playing contract with a team by Opening Day in order to play in that season, or something along those lines. I don't want him to pull the same attention whoring BS he did in '07.
-
FDR has been revised into an evil socialist who lucked into World War II by a lot of modern conservatives.

I like the Red Baron frozen pizzas as well. As far as the big chains, Rocky Rococo is probably my favorite, though they don't have one in the town where I live anymore. Not a big Pizza Hut fan, though some of their higher end restaurants have some good European-style pizzas. For delivery, I'd rather get Domino's than Pizza Hut.

That'll teach her.

Yeah, Rodney Mack and Jazz and someone else who I forget. I always joked that they should be called "The Black People" because they were basically all the black people in WWE at the time.

Manage your time better and get more sleep. The easy fixes only work for so long.

I'm just not all that interested in Booker T. He's incredibly robotic in the ring, and if he's not going to be "King Booker" he's basically the same stale character we've been seeing since the WCW days.
-
Yeah, but most of those guys never worked for WWF (aside from Kerry), so those aren't really on their hands like Curt Hennig's arguably would be.
-
Oh boy, I think you just called the finish to the match. Speaking of Teddy Long, maybe they can have him return to being a manager and re-form his memorable "The Black People" stable.

I don't think we really could do anything in Pakistan regardless. The US military is stretched way too thin. Whatever happened to that bin Laden guy anyway?

I don't know...if he (Douglas) had managed to stick around into 1997, I could have seen them having him come out on RAW one night and renounce the "Dean" gimmick, and revert to being Shane Douglas "The Franchise" (or something similar). By that point, WWF was big on having guys revert their gimmicks to try and seem more gritty and less cartoonish (look at the transformations of Mankind and Goldust, etc). I think ultimately he still would have been kept down by Shawn Michaels and Triple H, though, and ended up going to WCW anyway.
