It's been a long time since I've watched that show, but I don't think they really made a big deal out of Doug Gilbert either way.

That reminds me of when the Nation of Domination was first appearing in WWF, Jim Ross made a comment about "This group has seen a lot of success in the Memphis area", in reference to their appearances in the USWA. Beyond that, I don't think the WWF really ever acknowledged their cooperation with Lawler's group.

Seriously, jokes aside, I hope Lex is OK. He's had his stupid moments, but it seems like he had turned his life around and was thankful to be alive, and trying to hep other people not make the same mistakes he did. One of my favorite mark out moments from the Monday Night Wars era was Lex winning the WCW Title from Hogan, even if that reign only lasted less than a week.

OK, bought the Orange Box yesterday, and have only played TF2 so far. At first, it was crashing on me a lot, and I was getting an error message about the paged pool memory being low...I had to go into regedit and fix it. Game is now running without any crashes, though I occasionally get a bit of lag freeze. Anyway, the game is really fun. I guess my one criticism so far is that the game is almost too frantic at times. It seems tough to catch your breath, or if you're an engineer, get time to set up your sentry gun before you're being attacked. Other than that, I really like it so far. Pyro is probably my favorite class, since it's nice that the flamethrower actually does some damage now.

Anyone know what kind of system requirements TF2 has? The Source games tend to run fine on my PC, so I assume this would?

I know it's pretty and supposed to set the mood, but that intro on "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2 just bores me. At least in only lasts about 30 seconds or so. Oh, I actually kind of like the end of "Black Diamond". I think if it was re-recorded it would sound really good...a lot of the early Kiss songs just seem like they were recorded with bad tone or without great equipment, IMHO.

I had to do one a survey like that for a college class. I ended up just making up a bunch of results because it was basically a waste of time trying to talk to people.

Well, as far as the Red Sox, all that "The Matsuzaka era" begins bullshit on ESPN at the start of the season looks pretty stupid now. Other than that, Theo Epstein has done a good job as their GM. The playoffs are kind of a crap shoot at best...you do your best to get them there, and then it's up to the guys to play well, and hope for some breaks to fall your way.

I found the side headlock to be my bread & butter in a lot of fights in high school. One day I got into an argument with a friend about something and he shoved me. I shoved him back onto a couch, and then kind of sat on him and locked in the side headlock. He couldn't escape, and two other friends, trying to break up the fight, tried to pull me off by grabbing each of my legs and pulling. This only hurt the other guy even worse. Eventually I let go when the guy was about to pass out, and his face was beat red. Good times.

OK...yeah, reading up on it a bit more, I realized that was the same year as the Tet Offensive, so that makes sense.
