Well, I don't see what people trying to have anonymous sex in a public bathroom has to do with gay rights, either way.

So what do you think about The Undertaker?
Dobbs 3K replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
The Undertaker is probably one of the best big man wrestlers in North America in the last 15+ years easily (let's not get into a debate about who is better). He's going to go down as one of the true legends of WWF/WWE. That said...I kind of hope this run is basically his last. I'd like to see him put someone over in a final match, and then retire into the sunset and enjoy a well earned retirement. -
From what I caught of it, it was more of the same. If you support the war, you probably still do, and if you're opposed to it, Bush really gave nothing to win you over, or presented any kind of solid plan for gradual withdrawal, even if that's what they're claiming.

Exactly...America has a lot of problems right now. Can't we have leadership that takes care of America first, and then worries about the rest of the world? Let the Middle East take care of their own problems from now on.

Yes, 1995 was a gawd awful year for US wrestling in general, notably for WWF. That was probably my least favorite year ever as a fan, and at one point I almost completely stopped watching, sometime after Mabel won the King of the Ring (can you believe he's still getting pushed 12 years later, though?). Anyway, like I mentioned in my original post, business-wise, the WWE isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Anytime business is a little down state-side, they can always run another tour in Europe, or Japan, or India, etc. and draw huge. My main point is how much has gone wrong this year, and there aren't a lot of bright spots on the horizon, other than we can expect more Triple H and Cena. Undertaker is coming back, but should he really be one of their biggest stars at this point? I just think this company needs some kind of kick in the ass, but I have no idea what that could be at this point.

(Decided to create separate topic after seeing how long my post was).

I thought he changed to Hak so WCW couldn't copyright the Sandman name, but I could be wrong. It's gotten to the point where it's almost useless trying to enjoy anyone in WWE other than maybe Cena and Triple H. It seems like anyone else is a candidate to quit or get fired, or worse...

I didn't think the Magnificent Seven was a bad idea. Animal kind of worked as a strongman enforcer type, but he was basically just brought in as a surprise anyway. I think the big problem by that point was that they didn't have a strong face to feud with by that point, other than maybe Goldberg.

Has it really been 5 years allready? 9-11-2001

Yep. -
... and who was that? Do I really need to answer this?

Disappointing payoff. The fact that they decided to go with a comedy angle speaks volumes. Just seems like a big wasted opportunity, unless Hornswoggle ends up not being the real bastard in this storyline.

Let's not forget who was responsible, either.

Heh...Brewers became the first road team in MLB history to lead off a game with three consecutive home runs.
-
The one thing about this is that Lawler just put over Booker as "the King", even if it was in a sort of roundabout way. It would have been kind of cool in an old school way if Booker had jobbed the crown to someone before leaving.

Scarface was a good movie, but not as great as it's been made out to be by some. All the merchandise is getting ridiculous...you can buy a Scarface guitar case now, for example. What's the point? I think it was IGN that had an article on the Top 10 Overrated movies, which included Scarface, and said something like "Drop the act, you're not a gangsta anyway, you're a Home Depot stock boy from Hoboken, New Jersey."

I always thought the big complaint with Sosa was the corked bat, not the steroids. I'm tired of people ragging on the NL Central (yes, partly because my favorite team is in it). There's always one division that is a little weaker every year. Remember when the AL Central used to be called "Comedy Central?" It's cyclical...there's only so much high end talent to go around MLB. The Astros, Pirates, Reds, and Cards are all entering re-build mode, while the Brewers and Cubs seem to be on the way up. Just part of sports.

It's good to hear Booker is basically set financially. Good for him if this is true.
-
Has anything concrete actually come out regarding this story? Seems like we would have heard something if there was something to this by now.

Uh, Flair's not looking so bad lately. I think he had some surgery, if I recall? I think it's funny how many people rag on Flair for his appearance. Are half the people on this board going to be in shape like him when they're in their mid '50s? I doubt it.
-
Isn't Robocop 2 the one where a bunch of kids run into a sports store, beat up the shop keep for no reason, and trash the place? I thought that was amusing.
-
Flair in TNA would be a complete waste. I have no interest in seeing him there.
-
Brewers are in first place once again. Woooo! Did anyone see the controversy about Ryan Braun watching his homer last night, in the middle of that 14-2 victory? I thought it was pretty amusing.

snuffbox, if you were a contractor in Iraq, you could have probably just driven to one of the stockpiles of wrapped up hundred dollar bills, offered to build an abstinence education office, and made off with more than enough to rebuild any town in the US affected by recent flooding.

I hope that is really how you answer the phone. Yes, I suppose if I really did answer the phone like that, I would get silence, or perhaps some confused babbling.
-
OK, I meant it saves time as in I don't have to deal with this: "Hello, this is Invader3K." (I pretty much always give my name when answering the phone...you'd think this would help). "..." (silence) "Hello?" "Um...this isn't ____?" "No, I'm sorry, you must have the wrong number." "Oh...OK." It gets pretty old. Plus, it's an easy way of screening calls, like you said, in case it's someone I don't feel like talking to at the moment. This is mainly on my cell phone...if I already don't have your name and number saved, chances are you're not really high on my priority list, I guess.
