I'm just amazed he's owned the same car for 8 years. I'm not totally anti-Feingold, because I respect his positions on a lot of issues and he's probably a swell guy, yada-yada-yada...but I'm not terribly interested in losing another presidential election. Just as stubborn as the "Republicans loose when they're not conservative enough" there's also a "Democrats loose because they're not liberal enough" crowd. Neither is correct. People on the extremes of politics usually alienate more voters than they win over, and Americans who don't vote usually hold the same views as those who do. Beyond the fact that I think Bayh stands a better chance of winning than Feingold, I just think Bayh represents my views better and has more, more relevant experience that would help him run the country. The fact that I think he's more electable is just one of many reasons I will support his candidacy.

Rush thinks the defense spending was paid for with Reagan's tax cut, because cutting taxes always increases revenue (Rush also no-sells the 1983 tax hike). There were plenty of National Review quotes funnier than the one bigolsmitty posted. How the hell do these pundits keep their jobs when they're wrong all of the time? My Senate predition of 49-49-2 was dead-on, and my House prediction will come true if the Republicans win 9/10 undecided elections. These so-called professional didn't even come close.

You have to wonder how much of that was conservative spin to boost morale, and how much was blind ignorance. Rush's line has always been that the Democrats in Congress spent far more money than Reagan wanted. I don't think Mr. I-Dropped-Out-of-College realizes that one House of Congress can't make deficits appear magically out of thin air.

Eugene Levy was in Dumb and Dumberer, but he wasn't taking over as the main character.

Has no conservative pundit ever passed a math class? This is as bad as when Hannity said Reagan's budgets would have made the debt 25% less because he proposed 8 budgets that were on average 2.8% less a piece.

Ann Coulter reacts in her typical intellectually honest way... http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/printe...cgi?article=156 Notice she had to COMBINE the 1994 and 1998 election gains for Republicans to find a way to make Clinton look bad, because the Democrats actually GAINED seats in Clinton's 6th year. She RIGGED THE NUMBERS so she could cite an example that actually disproves her entire point! HOW FUCKING DISHONEST CAN ONE PERSON BE????? Dumb bitch.

Steve Carrell > Jaime Kennedy Steve Carrell > Eugene Levy Steve Carrell > Breken Meyer I get the first one was "The Mask," but what were the other two?

Check out some serious silliness from Time magazine... http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,...00.html?cnn=yes Given that the author acknowledges that Bush's appoproval rating was only 45% in Viriginia, and that having voters worried about Iraq isn't a good thing for Republicans, I think the article's subtitle might actually be a poor attempt at sarcasm.

HELLO????? Seriously, though, Bayh is enough of an unknown that his current image is irrelevant. If his campaign emphasizes his time as a successful governor and his expertise in national security, he could easily take the lead as a reasonable alternative to the polarizing Hillary or the inexperienced Obama. Bayh has something the Democratic frontrunners are sorely lacking: ACCOMPLISHMENTS. This job's too important for learning curves and on-the-job training. Bayh might not fire up the liberal base the way Jerry Brown or Howard Dean could, but I actually want to win for once.
-
Yeah, nothing shows you're a uncharismatic loser like getting elected 5 times in a place your party hasn't carried since 1964. Evan Bayh was the extremely popular tax-cutting, budget-balancing governor of Indiana for 8 years. He's also been a good senator, with vast experience in foriegn policy from working on the Intelligence and Armed Services committees. In addition, he's supported teachers and has been critical of the mistakes of the Iraq War. He's a family man with no ties to lying spouses, extramarital affairs, or multiple divorces. And most importantly, he won't get painted as a far-left looney the way Russ Feingold and Hillary Clinton inevitably will.

I still find it funny that some conservatives complain about movie stars getting involved in politics, but have no problem with electing them governor.

Well did he fuck her? If not, What's the big deal about it? That ad help ruin him because Ford ran as a social conservative, then people found out he was a slut. His official explanation for attending the the Playboy Super Bowl Party was "I like football and I like women." Even if he could get around the charge that he was a skirt-chaser, he couldn't get around the charge that he was a social hypocrite. The RSCC ran that ad while Corker's campaign simultaneously rans ads where his daughters talked about what a great dad he was. Ford was screwed. The ad would've been effective even if Ford himself was white.

Fair enough, but he didn't save an old man in the comics, he saved a blind man. The blindness then transferred from the guy he saved to him because of the chemicals. THAT'S stupid. And KR is right, the director's cut was a much better film. -
The only wasted vote is the one you never cast. Having said that, you should go crazy and write-in your own name for every office.

The infamous Harold Ford ad. Apparently he went to a Super Bowl party hosted by Playboy and met a woman who only breathes helium.

More cunter-evidence to the claim that Republicans lost because they weren't conservative enough. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/08/ele....why/index.html

I don't see the connestion because there isn't one. The only change they made was making Kingpin responcible for Jack Murdock's murder. The origin was handled fine. Daredevil sucked because the love story didn't work, and the action scenes were disappointing. The Director's Cut fixed those problems. -

PATRICK DEMPSEY IS POPULAR???? -
"Democratic Party" = too many syllables. Scarborough's on pushing the idea that the liberals are going to push for Bush's head on a silver platter, and push the Democrats back to the left. In additon to my prediction about the final Senate number being true (49-49-2), my prediction that the party line would be "We lost because we weren't conservative enough" is also hitting it right on the head. They weren't conservative enough? Jeeez. Talk about not being able to smell your own shit. You guys lost because you fucked up Iraq. Accept it.
