Wierd that they picked him instead of Alan Ritchson (who played Aquaman in Smallville). Either way, I heard it was a total bomb of a show. I suspect it was because the first Aquaman's acting was of middle-school play caliber. How to get me to watch this show again: -have Lana move far, far away. -have Clark grow some fucking balls. -more Chloe. -guest-star the Legion.

So what do you like better: the stories about evil gay sons plotting revenge on their mothers, spoiled wives adopting children for appearances, or mom's career causing marriage problems? And don't get me started on the bland, idiotic narration constantly pointing out the obvious. I'm not trying to be mean, but everyone pretty much just needs to admit this show's strength has nothing to do with the plot.

I bought the season 2 DVD because I didn't start watching until halfway through the season and wanted to see what I'd missed. The show titles (whch are usually a one or two word description of the situation the employees find themselves in) of the episodes are usually enough to get me laughing based on the potential for comedy each situation is ripe for. Based on that premise, here are the titles for the next two upcoming season 3 shows: "The Convention" "The Coup"

So is Joy going to be in prison all year? That has the makings of comic gold, right there.

If you're watching this show for any other reason than to see Eva Longoria or Teri Hatcher in their underwear, you need to turn in your Y chromosome. In other words, this thread needs pictures.

Please tell me this is sarcasm.

Was the Great Society really a failure? Compare poverty rates post-the Great Society to poverty rates during Reaganomics and post-welfare reform.

And Hummers. Lots and lots of Hummers.

I was really hoping they'd keep it hero vs. hero, what with that being the entire appeal of the series and all.
-
They also have DVD-ROMs for Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and Avengers. Daredevil, Incredible Hulk, and Capt. America have been announced as coming soon.

That Family Feud w/Christian Slater was hilarious. "Name something, besides clothes, that you find in the closet" "Spare Bibles?" "A gun. A loaded gun" "Yeah you don't have the guts!" "My father?" Yes! Hilarious. I've always leaned more towards their political stuff, though. Some of my personal favorites are the Bush/Dukakis debate between Carvey and Lovitz, Carter/Ford: "I was told there'd be no math", the Madeline Kahn epsiode with Akroyd as Nixon, the one where Hartman played as Reagan the Evil Mastermind, and pretty much anything with Hammond's Clinton (that never got old for me). -
Enough good things could not be said about this scene.

Oh swell, the backlash is already beginning. Is it too early to start complaining about how the show "went down hill after Sorkin left"? That's only a matter of time, as well.

Or funnier, in some cases.

Maybe people still use the word "terrorist" because we're supposedly fighting a war against terrorism. Time to buy a dictionary, you fucking high school drop-out. Sorry bitchcakes. I hold a BS in Finance from one of the top public universities in the entire country- The University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign. That sure was some awesome fancy schooling you got yourself, there. As for myself, I went to a cheap state college. Do know what I can do that you can't? I can effectively punctuate a sentence and use words correctly. I hope your mommy and daddy paid for your education, because otherwise you went $20,000 into debt for nothing.

?????? While I'm the one who wanted to merge Homeland Security with the DOD, I'd actually argue national defense is a lot bigger priority than farm subsidies, AFDC, and social security.

"Rats fleeing sinking ship" story #98140. -
Y2Jerk had said something like, "Hillary thinks she campaigns like Bobby Kennedy, but, really, she's more like Ted." I found that superior to the student council joke. I changed it when I realized Ted didn't deserve to be maligned like that.

Because having 15 different cabinet secretaries who all answer directly to the president sure has streamlined things...

My only complaint was that they hit us over the head with the open comparisons to the movie Network a little too hard. According to various sources last spring, Studio 60's fictional network was even going to be UBS.

Homeland Security should be a sub-division of the DOD. Seriously...departments of Defense AND Security? A little redundant I feel. Perhaps we should also have separate Departments of Agriculture and Food Supplies or Departments of Justice and Law Enforcement. And remember back when the Republicans wanted to abolish the Dept. of Education? Or, as I like to call it, "the good old days."

Yeah except the Male teachers aren't going after the popular, attractive, horny blonde with the big breasts, that looks like she should be in porn rather then math class, more often then not, they are going after the dopey, low self-esteem chick that is an easy target to trick. What the hell are you basing this on???
