I can't possibly imagine anyone wanting to see this.

I just realized the reason people couldn't figure out Prince Adam and He-Man were the same person was because Adam was openly gay, whereas He-Man was a closet gay. Teela must've been dumber than a box of rocks for not being to figure out He-Man's secret. Not that he was secretly Prince Adam, but that he was having an affair with Man-at-Arms.

A circular argument, but convincing none the less.

And I'm saying we do stuff like this all the time, and the fact that we're doing it now isn't a sign that the concept of America is crumbling beneath us. 1. Islamofascism isn't even a real word. 2. The plan to "root out" these "Islamofascists" really seems to have backfired. 3. Give it a rest with the "look at it in an honest, objective way" and "fundamental lack of understanding" stuff. The answers to these issues were not that black and white, and pretending otherwise is an exercise in self-delusion.

As opposed to releasing it in the summer so it can get lost in a crowded field of other summer big budget comedy and action films?

Casting really depends on what direction you want to go with the character, and I'm not sure I've got a handle on that. The worst thing they could do is base the casting on what the character was like in his 2 previous live-action incarnations. And, dare I say it, he needs to be darker than the cartoon, so Hamill's out. Same goes for any other villian they might use in future movies. I really don't have a preference, so long as the person knows they're not being hired to do a Caesar Romero/Jack Nicholson impression.

And then, of course, if he'd actually gone and got them instead of dicking around in Iraq for 3 years. -
It seems like all the experts have also said this, but people are still shelling out $3000 for plasma and LCD sets...when they could get a rear-projection HD CRT for 1/3 of the price. I don't get it.

There are about 18 minutes of commericals per hour on network television. That's twice what it was 40 years ago. By comparison, PBS throws up MAYBE 90 seconds worth of corporate advertisements, and 3-4 minutes of advertisements for their own programming. There's also a stark difference in what the advertisements are for, and PBS advertisements lack the slick arm-twisting and pathetic attention-grabbing techniques network television advertising does. -
America is not a stupid country. We're just not very well informed all of the time. Once the public is made aware of and takes an interest in an important issue, the majority of the people will support the right thing. An important example of this would be the Civil Right movement. Once all of America saw on TV just what was happening to blacks living in the South, support for civil rights laws increased to the point that the federal government took action on a regular basis during the 1960s to protect people's rights.

I really try to keep it to $10-$15. That doesn't always happen, though.
