Just tuning in....what did I miss? -
Does it feature moving advertisments for other shows that take up 20% of the screen? That seems to be the trend on a lot of the cable networks I watch (and WB).

I'd hit it.

I was just remembering how Chris Rock (in "Never Scared") said he thought black people who were lynched in the 1920s must've looked down on blacks being attacked by police in the 1960s and said, "Those niggas got it easy." Take all the shit civil rights activitsts like John Lewis had to put up with in the 1960s, and compare it the "racism" faced by Rep. McKinney. Adam Clayton Powell wasn't even allowed to eat with the rest of the Congressmen, for Christ's sake. Not that there still isn't racism, but there's a group of people nowadays that seem to want to scream "racism" for every little inconvenience they ever have to face

Conventional wisdom was that Kurt Angle is simply more popular than Rey Mysterio, but I think there's more to it than that. Could it be because people percieve his TV character as someone who is simply milking Eddie Guerrero's legacy, and people resent him for it? Or is it something else? Discuss.

I wouldn't go THAT far.

To me it feels longer.

That's easy: either just ignore the sound or put the TV on mute, and watch the crowd instead. There's no way that even the WWE's magic editing machines can concoct a shot of all the people in the background standing up and cheering during a match. And judging by the massively positive response Rey got on the show tonight, I'd say this whole thread is a moot issue. It could just be a case where Rey is getting booed by such a small minority that you have to be in the arena to hear it, or the WWE just doesn't put people on TV unless they're cheering (easy to do if Rey's only getting booed by a minority of people). I honestly don't believe that Angle is so popular that fans would boo Rey Mysterio for him.

But still, no one on "Smallville" ever refers to the character as anything other than "Clark Kent", so the lawsuit seems rather baseless to me.

This is the part where I mention that an increase in average temperature still mathematically allows for extremes.

I'm thinking about buying this one. http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/147195...ication.do#tabs On the plus side it has 1024MB of DDR memory and 1.8GHz processor. That gave me a knee jerk reaction to buy it, until I found out most other laptops are using DDR2 (albeit, only 512 MB). Can anyone explain one's better than the other (other than the obvious 1024 > 512)?
