The OAO '2006 Hall of Fame ceremony' thread.
SuperJerk replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
Okay....I'm not remembering... WHY is there heat between Savage and the WWE again? I mean, if Hogan and Bret Hart could get into Vince's good graces again... Key word...Hogan This is gold....time to preorder the DVD Vince also thinks Macho is as crazy as the Warrior. Yeah, but how many second chances did Warrior get after he screwed Vince out of money? -
You want a prediction? See my sig.

If you can put the blame on 1 person for the decline of the WWE...

That'd explain why .

"Another good show, though below the standard that was set in the last month, and not due to the overly exaggerated "Hell" comment. I mean, Orton's a heel, and in reality, there's just as much of a chance of Eddie being in Hell as his there is of him being in Heaven. Whatever." I really hated LiM when he was here, and hated him even more when I posted over at the Pit, but there's a chance he might've been kidding around when he posted that.

Wow. As an Echo driver, I'm feeling ripped-off. These are not only cheaper, but better looking. Echos were great cars, but ugly as sin. (Probably the reason they never caught on.)

Yes, Voltron, Power Rangers, etc. were all influenced by Gatchaman. But we're talking about a few seconds of the OPENING CREDITS, not the impact of the show itself.

In the Oliver Stone movie, I'm we'll see a scene of George W and Usama sitting in the same room together, eating popcorn, and watching the madness unfold on TV to their delight. With cameos by Fidel Castro and the CIA.

Sad. And man, do I ever wish I had a copy of the chicken dance gif.

I enjoy Gatchaman as much as the next nerd, but the premise of this thread is taking things a little too far. Your obsessing over a few seconds of an obscure cartoon opening having an impact on other even more obscure cartoon openings. If anything, I'd argue that ALL of these examples rip-off the types of manuevers that actual sky-divers do at shows.

Not really, it's quite standard for schools to require them (I was taking Physics my frosh year and pre-calc my sophomore year). Again: Required where? I've worked for enough school districts to know that REQUIRING Physics and Pre-Calculus is NOT typical. Most schools give you a choice of a biological science, then a physical science, and a third year of science of your own choosing. For math, its a required 3 years which generally means Algebra, Geomeotry, and Alg2/Trig (in that order).

Maybe he knows he's fucked, and is just trying to make himself sound more nefarious than he really is. It did sound pretty over-the-top. -
Funny cuz its true.

Fucking overkill is what it is.

Mandatory? Where the fuck do you go to school? NASA?

That's a pretty big "unless". That point of yours was a really great case for legal immigration. I don't see the good that encouraging companies to ignore those regulations does for legal citizens. If you come to America to work legally, you should be entitled to the same protections as anyone. Illegal immigrants may be better off than they were in their native country, but they are still far worse off than the minimum standards we've set for our country. Also, don't forget, there's the issue of national security. Given how poor border security is, it wouldn't be difficult for a large number of terrorist operatives to sneak into our country.

I never thought much of the 90s cartoon since I'd already read most of the actual X-Men comic book issues they were based on (and damn it if their version of Dark Phoenix Saga wasn't just a piss-pour imitation). I could imagine they'd seem 10x better than anything else on TV at the time to someone unfamiliar with the original stories, though.

Thanks for posting that....again.

http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...1&st=&p=entry Probably the only thread about Islam that didn't ever turn into a gigantic flame war between Mike/Marney and someone else. -
Given that things like minimum wage and health protections are a relatively new innovation, there isn't a historical instance where a completely fair comparison can be made. And I don't have a problem with legal immigration, because there's a definite benefit there. I'd love to know how illegal immigrant are forced to pay anything other than sales taxes. Just to clarify: I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH LEGAL IMMIGRATION.
