Since output from a DVD or VCR is split into separate wires for sound (audio) and picture (video), this isn't impossible. You'd have to get the WM video tapes and the WM perfectly in sync, but you could (in theory) record everything onto a third disk/tape by wiring the left/right audio from the old tapes and the video from the new DVD. I honestly don't see how this would be an improvement over just watching the old WM tapes, though.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I didn't like the fact that people were patting you on the back for giving it a zero. Someone had to make the counter-argument. If pointing out that there's another point of view makes me a prick, then so be it.

I never got that as an explanation. You don't see regular people quitting their jobs to spend more time with their families. The "I want to spend more time with my family" implies that both: a. the person's family lives in another city and they have to quit their job to move back for them, and b. the person already has so much money they can afford to quit a high paying job to spend more time with their family, since any other job they take will probably keep them away from their family almost as much as their government job did.

I've absorbed more knowledge from some of my professors than most of my teachers. Luck of the draw, I guess. Not everyone learns the same way. Some people can pick up everything they need from listening. Some people can pick it up from reading. Some people need to do something with the material. Like I said, most professors really don't seem to care if anyone learns in their class or not, thus shifting the entire responsibility for learning away from the professor (the person getting paid to teach) to the student (the customer). When high school teachers do this, they're considered bad teachers and politicians run on platforms to "hold them accountable" in order to maske sure the students are learning. College professors are almost expected to do it this way.

Given the current state of the product, it would be to me. They should at least put the fucker on PPV.

I honestly don't remember anyone saying any of that stuff. I think everyone just kind of assumed it was really funny because of the kind of business it did last year, but (as I noted at the time), it starts off okay then falls apart as soon as they leave Christopher Walken's house. The best thing about the movie is the totally over-the-top redhead and Vince Vaughn's reactions to her.

Yeah, this move basically turns it into a completely different show. Instead of refugees fleeing a massive genocidal force in space we'll get subjugated people resisting an oppressive regime. I'm surprised they didn't have the Pegasus destroyed by the Cylons and Galactica jump away at the last second to justify the fleet cutting and running like that (although Lee's assertion that there was no point in fighting was technically correct, since there were at least a dozen Basestars in orbit). I'm curious to see how far Baltar's collaboration with the Cylons goes, and maybe they'll finally tell us what the hell's been in his head talking to him for the last 2 years.
