What is your most valuable comic worth?

I'd tell you if I knew of a reliable site for finding out how much they're worth.

    Box Office Report...

Not the best marketing strategy, considering the play is less than 10 years old. Did you SEE the TV spots? It was like the newspaper quotes were carpet-bombing the screen at the end of World War II. The only reason I've heard of it is because my ex-girlfriend's sister was a theater nerd. A play about a bunch of HIV-positive Gen-Xers isn't exactly Phantom of the Opera.

    Box Office Report...

That'll be all it gets. My gripe with the ads was twofold: 1) They assumed people had heard of/knew what the hell the play was about. 2) Too many quote from critics claiming it was greatest thing since condoms. Unless you are a fan of the play, there wasn't any reason given to see this movie.

Nice to see the super-pretentious ads for "Rent" didn't work.

  7. I very much doubt The Rock typed and printed his own story in the UK paper/magazine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no idea how to correctly spell the Rock's real first name (Duane/Dwayne?), but I sure as shit know who he is.

    I'm Not Feeling Survivor Series

Okay, you probably know more about that than I do, but still that should result in the 1995-1996 buyrates being higher than those after it, which they aren't. They're substantially lower. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Logically, audience share should go down over time as the size of the total PPV capable audience goes up, but the dip you pointed out cannot be explained away like that since the numbers for all the surrounding years had much higher numbers. In short, your premise that HBK and Deisle didn't draw is correct.

    I'm Not Feeling Survivor Series

I'd think a big jump in number of PPV capable homes would've occurred between 1996-2000 when cable and satellite companies starting making PPV capability is standard feature on digital packages (thus shrinking the buyrate figures).

I just got totally no-sold. (Although, his analysis is probably correct since the number of people with PPV capability probably didn't change a whole lot between 1994 and 1995 & 1996 and 1997).

    I'm Not Feeling Survivor Series

Comparing PPV buyrates over the years can be deceptive, but here's the list from http://www.100megsfree4.com/wiawrestling/p...f/wwfppvbr.htm: 1987: 7.0 1988: 2.8 1989: 3.3 1990: 3.0 1991: 2.2 1992: 1.4 1993: 0.82 1994: 0.9 1995: 0.57 1996: 0.58 1997: 0.89 1998: 1.3 1999: 1.14 2000: 1.0 2001: 1.13 2002: 0.86 2003: 0.73 2004: 0.81 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More people have PPV capability than they did in 1987, so the buyrate is misleading. Its just the perecentage of people who order the show compared to PPV capability. For example, if only 10 people had PPV capability, and 1 guy orders the show, you get a 10 buyrate. If 1000 have PPV capability, and 10 guys order the show, you get a 1, even though 9 more people ordered the show. Analyzing TV ratings the same way is also bad because Neilsen share is based on the same principle (share of the audience instead of the actual number of people).

How do you tansfer vhs to dvd

Most home DVDRs are designed to be used the same way a VCR would be. If you've ever taped from one VCR to another using A/V cables, the process is nearly identical. 1. Make sure a A/V output cable is connected from your DVDR to your TV. 2. Hook another A/V cable from the VCR's A/V output to the front inputs of the DVDR, and turn the VCR on (go ahead and push play, so there'll be an actual signal going from the VCR to the DVDR). 3. Cycle through all of the video input channels on the DVDR (either by pushing an "input" button repeatedly, or by pushing channel up and down on the remote) until you see the tape playing on the TV screen. 4. Choose a record speed and record using either DVD+R or DVD-R (depending on what type of machine it is). The record speeds on the DVDR will go from a 1-hour mode (best picture and sound) to an 8 hour mode (terrible picture and sound). I generally use the 3 hour speed.

Make sure you are using the correct inputs and outputs. What brand is it? Does it have inputs on the front of it, or just in the back?

I love this whole "Yeah...so what if it had nothing to do with terrorism or WMDs, because we had other reasons to go to war" argument that's being presented.

How do you tansfer vhs to dvd

Look, I just bout a DVD recorder, and that's what I want to do. Hook my VCR up to it so that I can transfer VHS to DVD. I don't have a fucking clue how to set it up, though. Do I need an S-Video cable to make things work? I'm being serious here. This may be the stupidest question ever to you, but I swear, I might as well be a caveman when it comes to this. I do not know how to fix this shit right. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Regular A/V cables (yellow, red, white) should work, since only Super VHS VCRs use S-Video cables. What kind of DVD recorder is it? (Computer or home unit?)

    Smackdown VS Raw 2006

    Rock on.
  18. He gave Vince a screaming "you stole all my ideas" speech, saying all Vince did was convert WWF into a mirror of ECW and call it "Attitude" (I think he even did the quotation mark thing with his fingers). It ended with him insulting Tazz for being a 2 rate color commentator, then Tazz coming up from behind him and choking him out. Rumor had that it was heavily edited for broadcast.
