I'll save everyone some time... SNL hasn't been good since [insert random year from my childhood here]. When [insert name of popular cast member here] left, it started to suck. They need to cancel it and get it over with.

Throw a "gate" at the end of every one of those and you'd have Olbermann's nightly "Bushed" segment.

The point of the question seemed more likely to find out her thoughts on why the Republicans are becoming a whites-only party. And the point of me posting the link to the video was that her response was stupid beyond belief. Eskimos may face racism in Alaska, but for her to say that she's lived the struggle of racism because her very white-looking husband had a few Native American great-grandparents is absurd.

Report clears Palin in Troopergate probe. Time to let it go. And I think what hyperchord was implying was that Piper is actually Bristol's kid, since he said daughter...which is even more bizarre than the Bristol/Trig rumor.

The late night comics will probably overcompensate with Joe Biden jokes or go back to making fun of easy-target celebrities.

Gov. Palin explains how she and Todd live with racial discrimination in their lives. Confused? Todd Palin is 3/8ths Eskimo!

More proof that Mitt Romney is not human. His ability to say easily disproven bullshit with complete seriousness cannot be of this Earth. Let me rank this with the Palinometer... PALINOMETER INDEX SCORE: 2 1. His argument Barack Obama must have been more negative because he spent more money, even though a lower percentage of his ads were negative, assumes that Obama was using that Obama was proportionally making more ads rather than making close to the same number of ads and simply making more media buys. 2. Throws some easily disproven campaign spin in there at the end just for fun.

I think that's what the Gallup expanded is supposed to reflect (somehow). In case you missed it... http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/vid...vc-open/805381/ http://www.nbc.com/Saturday_Night_Live/vid...-mccain/805401/

Gosh, what are the chances that Richardson or Biden just accidentally said the wrong number? Because, you know, Biden NEVER fucks up when he talks.

The racism is from the people who agree with Obama on the issues, but won't vote for him because he's black, or because they heard he was a Muslim or Arab or somehow not a real. The decision to not vote for Obama because you don't agree with him or don't think he'd make a good president is perfectly rational and should be respected. The decision to vote for Obama should also be respected. Do you think the black people who are voting for Obama wouldn't vote for him if he was white? There was, after all, great excitment in the black community for the candidacies of Bobby Kennedy and Bill Clinton. Would there be this much excitement over him in the black community if he were a Republican? Probably not, because black people usually line up with Democrats on major economic issues. The reason for this is many blacks feel like most leaders don't care about them, and a black president would be less likely to turn his back on them. A black person who doesn't trust white people has more justification than a white person that doesn't trust black people, given all the stuff that happened in the last 400 years, but that doesn't justify blindly voting for someone because of race. I'm not going to pretend though that an Obama presidency doesn't make me proud because it does signify a giant leap forward for equality in this country, but that would be the case if he were a black Republican as well. In the heat of a campaign, we sometimes forget that most of the time we agree on more than we disagree on. I hope most of us agree that either guy getting elected isn't going to be the end of the world.

Voter fraud is a valid concern, which is why anyone in ACORN or any other organization that breaks the laws should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I don't think the tiny amount of voter fraud that might occur will change the outcome of this election, though.

It was actually from "Our Dumb Century," a fake 20th century retrospective book published in 1999. My favorite eerily prophetic Onion article (which I'm sure that has been posted before): http://www.theonion.com/content/node/28784

I propose a new means of measuring: THE PALINOMETER...gauges how many ways a statement is ignorant or irrational. PALINOMETER SCORE: 3 -Incorrectly defines what negative campaigning is (attacking you opponent instead of pushes your own candidate/program). -Shows fundamental ignorance about the Constitution. -Shifts blame for people not caring about her use of "guilt by association" fallacy from the fallacy itself to the media.
