I can't read the title of this thread without thinking "How do you loose something that's 68 pages?". I had to share that.

Battlestar Galactica Season 1 DVD Question
SuperJerk replied to Vanhalen's topic in Television & Film
The TV spots say that it does. Be sure you're buying the one that came out this week, and not the Best Buy exclusive UK Season 1 set. The difference in the packaging is the Best Buy exclusive (the one you do not want) has Number Six with glowing red eyes, but the one you want to buy has Six, Apollo, and Starbuck on the cover. Good. http://www.geocities.com/denniverse/pix/number6black.bmp Not good. edit: bought it this morning...the first disk of the season 1 set is the miniseries. -
Were there tripods and deathrays? Please tell me there were tripods and deathrays!

At work..daily..although none are as hot as she was, none wear uniforms that short and the cliche hat thing doesn't work either.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think I've ever seen a nurse wear anything but hospital scrubs in anything but old TV shows and movies. You'd have to go back at least 20 years to see the white outfit worn by many nurses.

One and Only Star Wars Geekiness Thread

I'd be willing to bet he's saving the 6 film box set for the next generation of media. -
The only thing I didn't like was the casting. Michelle Forbes makes for a good heel, but she's rather young to have such a high position in the military. I'd be willing to bet the Cylon attack was the first time she saw actual combat. Lloyd Bridges' Cain was so well loved and remembered by fans because he seemed like he knew what he was doing, even if he was unorthodox. This Cain seems more like a feared dictator than a revered leader. Seriously, if she was really "by the book", wouldn't she be subject to Rosalind's orders? She is the legitimate president of the colonies after all. Couldn't Rosalind promote Adama over Cain, in theory? Cain obviously couldn't give a shit about finding Earth, she just wants revenge. She's like Adama was before Rosalind convinced him that the survival of the human race outweighed winning the war. Great episode, so I'm glad it works on different levels than the episode that inspired it.

Frakkity frak frak frak... That was some good TV tonight. Can't wait until January.

Questions about this segment: 1. Why would Batista want to touch Eddie's junk? 2. Why was the nurse laughing so much? If she's in on the joke, shouldn't she be playing along? If she wasn't in on the joke, shouldn't she be taking her job a little more seriously? 3. When was the last time you saw a nurse in a white dress?

Well, its not Monty Brown's got a lot of hair or anything.

Some parts were repealed, others were ruled unconstitutional, but some are still with us. -
The crowd really seems to like him.

I don't buy distractions as a legit way for a babyface to keep his heat. He would've won if JBL hadn't showed up on a horse? No, he would've won if he'd been paying attention to the match and didn't notice the big guy who was actually in the ring with him and not 20 feet away.

The love the kayfabe breaking obviousness of having a camera zooming in on Undertaker's face at exactly the right second. edit: Cole putting over Rey's shitty new music makes me hate it that much more.

I'm really impressed thus far with this mythical complete saga DVd box set that's not actually coming out anytime soon. -
What's the other thing? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Universal health care. It'll be at least another 3 years before Americans get that.

TV got better once movies started sucking again. I had hope for movies around 1998-2000, but TV has overtaken them in quality. There are bad TV shows of course, but the best TV blows away the best movies these days.

That choking hazzard one is almost as bad as this: which gives new meaning to the term "Edgehead" I suppose.

I'd think Scalia could come up with a better analogy.

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw David Hasselhoff pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

I'm assuming you're in Canada. That 2 things Canadians will get before Americans do.
