RAW has now done more episodes than Gunsmoke, which had 600+ episodes. Vince wants to claim its the longest running entertainment program in TV history, except, that there have been other wrestling shows which had more episodes than Raw.

I wish they quit calling Masters an athlete. Bodybuilding is not a sport.

Anyone else notice that every show for the last months has had one match that was already on the previous week's show? This week its Carlito vs. Cena. Before that it was Kane vs. Edge, and a few weeks before that it was Benjamin vs. Carlito, and we also had Tajiri vs. Masters a few weeks before that. edit: Angle vs. Stryker was also doen for a couple of weeks.

Wow...there's someone who've I've actually been watching longer than.

Do you think Raw writers actually watch Smackdown?

The problem with that website is that it takes the slightest hint of circumstantial information or conjecture and twists in into definitive proof. For example, the fact that a flight attendant only saw 4 hijackers instead of 5 can easily be explained by pointing out that maybe she just didn't see one of them. The author of the website also cleverly mixes in a real news report that says nothing to support his conclusion with a link to a website (http://www.americanfreepress.net/051302/FBI_Admits__No_Evidence_/fbi_admits__no_evidence_.html) that makes a claim of events using poorly worded statements of conjecture, rather than actual quotes from the FBI that say what he's saying the FBI said. From example: Conjecture does not equal fact. Saying its "in doubt is whether those 19 men were actually plotting anything" is not the same as saying "those 19 men were not actually plotting anything". Another link (http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content/?011008fa_FACT) cited as a source critical of the 9/11 investigation uses conjecture by unnamed sources as evidence and was published barely 3 weeks after the attacks, before the investigation was even close to being complete. So, upon carefully reviewing the evidence, I can only conclude that the entire article (http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/hijackers.html) is nothing but fabricated stupidity.

Let this thread serve as a reminder that not all terrorists are Muslim.

Except we really mean it this time. Really.

I don't blame him considering how well their previous ideas went over. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This is the same company where you get heat for doing stupid shit like calling in when your sick or not sucking up to the Undertaker backstage.

I can't help but wonder if USA executives might be able to slap Vince back to reality. Right now though, Smackdown needs help worse than Raw. Its like the two shows take turns sucking. Has it really been that long?

Put this one next to Hirohito on the "gimmicks they'll realize are dumb before they even make it onto the air" list. -
I'm pretty sure we established whoever made this had no grasp of the academic side of political theory when they decided to make Sean Hannity a fucking super-hero. "Look, up in the sky! Its a bird...its a plane... No, its a right wing hack with selective memory and no legitimate journalistic credentials!"

If you didn't laugh when the guy shot the cow in front of the school bus, your sense of humor is broken.

In the case of McGregor, I think they were hoping the goodwll he had built up with the audience for being the best thing about the prequels that people would want to see him in other things. It really doesn't help that both "Moulin Rouge" and "Down with Love" sucked ass, however. I'll keep my thoughts on Johansson's limited public exposure to myself this week. The casting of Beil in "Stealth" is particularly bizarre, since I'm not sure how a 22 year old former child-star is supposed to convince people she's a fairly high ranking US Navy test pilot.

Is it really considered "research" if its made up?

If its on the internet, it must be true.

My thoughts on the Dobson set can be summed up by reading Matthew 6:5.

Oh great... DC is hhholding their own characters down. Will internet paranoia ever cease?

Oh, please tell me this is a parody. I'd hate to think someone really took the time to try and make Sean Hannity a super-hero.

Kasdan also wanted Solo killed off. There are two main reasons for this. First, in that they wanted to kill someone early in the final fight so that it could seem that anybody could die. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I always thought that was why he was going to blow up Lando and the Falcon in Jedi, thereby cementing Wedge's place as the ultimate cinema badass. But audiences hated it so he wussed out and made with the Ewok Safety Dance ending. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Was that before after the cut sex scene between Chewie and C3PO? -
Who are these penguins? What have they been in that everyone's so interested in them all of a sudden?

He's not running for reelection in 2006, and has been a very prominent supporter of Pres. Bush as Senate leader.
