I'm already bored. This debate needs the cheerleader from "Heroes" saying "fuck" over and over.

When's Marv gonna get around to trying to refute the other dozen people who've also handed his ass to him during this discussion?

It also depends on the capacity to understand that Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright are not the same person, but VP Nominee Sarah Palin and Gov. Sarah Palin ARE the same person. This is my favorite post of the day, so far, with the selling point in bold.

    1. They DO pay taxes. 2. Providing more money to the working poor is a good thing for stimulating the economy because they're more likely to spend all of it than the rich people you give a tax cut to will. Also, it evens out the distribution of wealth...too much money in fewer hands (the trend for the last 7 years) leads to a bad economic result.

From that article: First of all, whoever wrote the article ignores that payroll taxes for Social Security and Medicare are income taxes when talking about how so many people pay no taxes. It looks at marginal income tax rates instead of total taxes paid to determine its figures. Second, the article assumes that shifting the tax burden away from the working poor is "welfare" and thus a negative. Third, the WSJ isn't doing anything in this article but repeating numbers supplied by the American Enterprise Institute and the Heritage Foundation. So...Obama's poll numbers are causing the stock market to drop, except when the government intervenes in the economy (which Obama favors), because the investors are afraid of his policies, and the market will take another down turn because even though the government put money in the banks, everyone will go back to panicking about Obama's policies even though the economic indicators are just as good as they were the day the government decided to put money into the banks. Does that pretty much sum up your position?

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis

Too bad it was disproven the very day it was published.

Could be. Doesn't prove the theory that the stock market drop is a vote of no-confidence in Obama's economic policies, though, if the stock market is moving radically in the opposite direction. Somehow, I'm sure you'll tell me that it is.

I saw this on TV the other day and...well, see for yourself... Someone's already had too much Kool-Aid... "Spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin, spin..." Like one big self-perpetuating washing machine. And I thought Dana Perino had a shitty job. Scratch that...Perino HAS a shitty job, Nancy Pfotenhauer just DOES a shitty job. Nancy's like our election-eve Santa Claus, and she just delivered a big package of whine-flavored denial, covered in "Damned if you do, damned if you don't" wrapping paper and big bow made out of bitterness on top.

That's not true. What about Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe? And you're also ignoring a lot of people who were elected to two terms who didn't actually serve them because they died in office, or presidents who served out terms when the previous president died and then got elected as incumbents. Yes...and the Annenberg Foundation, including the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (the board you are referring to), was founded and funded by Walter Annenberg. Walter Annenberg, who died in 2002, was appointed by Richard Nixon to be U.S. Amabssador to the U.K., and was a publisher until he sold his magazines to Rupert Murdoch. He can be seen here with a good friend of his...some fellow you might recognize.

    Weekend Box Office Report

I DVR most of my tv shows. Unless they're running ads for it on CNN or MSNBC, or the websites I visit, I won't see them.

    Sarah Connor Chronicles

Have all of the 13 scripts been produced? Or are there unfilmed scripts just sitting around. I'm betting the show won't be back after the baseball playoffs. And, more importantly, where am I going to get my Summer Glau fix?
