They can't show it on Sundays because these days that timeslot is reserved for actual shows. Disney owns the Muppets? Fuck!

Did anybody else think the "Noooo!!!" scene was an homage to the old Universal monster movies (especially Frankenstein)?

I'll be the first to admit the ones with Tim Burton weren't great, but they were leaps and bounds better than the Schumaker crap. Burton put the focus on the actual world of Batman and envirnment of Gotham City, whereas Schumaker's films just look like they're there to spotlight the sets and costumes.

Fuck spoiler warnings. If you're reading a thread about a movie a full day after it comes out, you don't deserve a warning. Random thoughts about the movie itself: Order 66 pwn3d my fucking ass. I honestly didn't even notice the weak dialogue. Okay, I NOTICED, but it didn't distract me. I actually liked the scenes between Padme and Anakin. I'm a little pissed that Obi-Wan never said he still sensed good in him (as if 20 years later Yoda would confuse Kenobi with Padme). Yoda ducking out on the Emperor like that was weak. At least have Yoda being chased by clones or something. (Yoda ownerizing Palpatine's two guards got the biggest cheer of the movie.) The dude playing Tarkin at the end looked so much like Peter Cushing it creeped me out. R2D2's mad kung fu skills was way cool. Vader does a mean impression of Frankenstein. This was way better than Clones or Phantom Menace. A lot of genuine emoition came through in the way it was shot and edited. It didn't feel like a video game the way those movies did. They really needed to give Anakin more of a reason to go from simply hating the Jedi for "holding him back" to killing little Jedi kids. I guess we knew he was capable of it from watching "Clones", but geez...that was hardcore insta-evil. Palpatine was totally playing possum at the end of his battle with Mace Windu. He could've used the dark side lightening at any time. It was nice of them to leave it open like other Jedi might still be alive...its as if Lucas is planning a STAR WARS television show or something. My opinion of the STAR WARS movies from best to worst: EMPIRE STRIKES BACK A NEW HOPE RETURN OF THE JEDI REVENGE OF THE SITH PHANTOM MENACE ATTACK OF THE CLONES

The could use effects just to alter his size (like the hobbits in Lord of the Rings).

I think its been made abundantly clear over the last 10 years that UPN is a joke of a network with no idea how to build an audience. They're only even on the air 10 hours a week. Their 2 hours of WWE is 20% of their programming!

I got tickets for 8pm. I won't be able to form an objective opinion until after I've seen it at least twice.

If you can look past the flaws at the bigger picture, more power to you. I thought the plot of the second film was good, but didn't like the way it was executed. In Phantom Menace, I get bored from the flight from Naboo until the pod race. Neither movie was so bad I couldn't watch them a few more times, though. So, did Qui Gon make it into the movie? It'd be kind of stupid not include him after we heard his voice in Ep. 2 and the fact that it needed to explain how Yoda and Obi-Wan learned that skill. I read some reports that he wasn't.

The Emperor tells him during the hologram scene in "The Empire Strikes Back" (DVD edition). The scene was revised for the DVD release to include the man who plays the Emperor in the prequels and "Return of the Jedi", and includes new dialogue in which the Emperor reveals that Luke is Anakin's son, to which Vader reples "How is this possible"? Vader obviously knows the kid who blew up the Death Star is Skywalker because earlier he in the film he mentions Skywalker by name.

Why wait? You're going to end up watching the fucking thing 5345 times anyways.

Everyone's ignoring the fact that the real news here is that Kitty Pryde has a bigger part.

^That TV movie was just released on DVD this week I think.^ He was also the half-black/half-white alien from the STAR TREK episode. Great guy and impressionist. Rumor had it when he was beamed up to the Enterprise while filming a scene for that episode, he "beamed up" as James Cagney.
