American's Slipping In Education

Any guess what the other 20% believe? -
They'll make the cost of the movies back easily with overseas distribution and DVD sales.

First of all, he wasn't out there for 30 years repeating the Winter Soldier stories. Secondly, based on my own research, I'm not certain the Winter Soldier stories have actually been discredited, which seems to be a central part of your argument. The scope of the atrocities committed by American soldiers is generally believed by historians to be greater than you're letting on. I wasn't there, so I can't say for certain, but neither were you. For you to say that Kerry is lying requires a leap of faith on your part I'm not willing to take, since many of the instances Kerry spoke of have documented proof behind them.

Because EVERYBODY should learn Calculus? Even Special Ed. kids? That's about the only way you could get the standards higher from this point. Everybody can point to some idiots they knew in high school, or people who've forgotten virtually everything they learned in school. The problem is we expect every kid to be able to perform at the same level, which is a mistake. Besides, under the current guidelines, funding will be taken away for the ENTIRE SCHOOL, not just the Sp. Ed department. EVERYONE gets their funding yanked because of the disabilities of a few kids. I'm really shocked by how narrow minded your reply was. There's nothing "cool" about taking away funding for special education.

Anybody want to know the 2 real reasons other countries (i.e. Japan and Germany) regularly kick are ass in test scores? (1) They don't give the same tests we do. (2) They only test their college-bound kids. We test EVERYBODY. These two major differences give the U.S. an unfair disadvantage when it comes to raw scores. -
I've been watching wrestling too long. When I first read saw this thread I thought it was about the former announcer of Monday Nitro.

Many of the alledged eye witnesses, including Kerry's commanding officer, have been discredited or retracted their story. credit: http://factcheck.org/article231.html I read the Boston Globe story myself around the time it was published. Yup. This one's my favorite. As far as I'm concerned, they can take their sworn affidavits and shove them up their collective asses.

Hard to refute vague generalities. -=Mike Depends on what you mean by "common occurences". Hey, I wasn't there either, so I only go by what I've read/seen in documentaries. As far as the Winter Soldier stuff goes, if someone lies to you, but you think its true and you repeat it, does that make you a liar?

I seriously want to find out from people what they think the general state of human health was back when the only things to eat were "all natural" home grown fruits, vegetables, and grain products. Nowadays we have our "unnatural" modern medicine and agricultural methods, and FOR SOME REASON people seem to live longer.

It was good of Eddie to put Bradshaw over in the interview.

How was this supposed to occur last year? The original plan for WM XX was to headline with Hunter v Orton. I thought that was just a rumor, since Orton's program with Foley had been booked three months before WMXX.

I didn't say he wasn't allowed to do it, either. I said he was on a roll. (In other words, I was trying to be serious.)

I didn't say he couldn't do it. I said he was on a roll. SEE?????

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/02/22...rope/index.html You know you're on a roll when you start fulfilling your opponent's campaign promises.

PROOF? None! What'd I tell ya!? Yes, while Kerry was forced to try and come up to some solid conclusion on his ever-changing Cambodia story, there hasn't been any documents or articles revealed that collaborate a good many of their stories. In fact, the evidence points the other way, craftily covered up with the claim that Kerry wrote everything that ever collaborated what happened in the war involving himself and everyone near him. http://factcheck.org/article231.html

I guess that also means the movie "Scarface" wouldn't have been made if it wasn't for Jimmy Carter.
-
I think you're exaggerating a little, but it was definitely better than the reception it got at the time it came out. And the scene where they "hire" the film crew is hilarious.
-
His argument didn't make any sense to me, either. He seemed to be contradicting himself there.
-
I'm giving this joke the Orton-push.
-
He didn't lie. http://factcheck.org/article244.html The fact that his words were used as Viet Cong propaganda wasn't his fault.

Batista hasn't been a heel for some time. Given the fact he's only been westling heels lately and even ridiculed Evolution's antics during the J.R. Day segment.
