^I once heard he won some medals or something.^ Everyone knows the ability to make small talk with local officials in order to impress their children is a prerequisite for leading the free world. Yeah, I voted for Kerry. I based that vote on my belief that how good a campaign you run has nothing to do with how good a president you might be. Some of the best campaigns turned out to belong to some of the worst presidents. That, and he totally OMFG PWN3D~!!!!!!111 Bush during the debates. He made not have had a coherent plan on Iraq, he may have gave up on every southern state, he might have picked the most unhelpful running mate of all time, and he might be married to a woman with an unlimited ability to say stupid things in publci...but by God did he ever destroy Bush in those debates. You can't take that way from him.

Can one of the Christians on this board remind the rest of us what the penalty for blaphsemy is?

Still sounds like a cheap publicity stunt if you ask me, for reasons I already listed.

It was kinda weird. They started off with a half-hour block consisting of 10-minute (incl commercials) eps of Jem, Bigfoot and Robotix. Then, they moved to 15 minutes each with the shows rotating (I think they added a different show here as well). Finally, Jem got the full 1/2 hour, and the others went away. I think the 10/15 minute episodes were just the individual segments of the 30 minute versions. When Jem got her own 30 minute show, they reran the older 10/15 shows as complete episodes. I totally had to pull that shit out of the back of my mind.

I would venture to say yes. We're all sinners. That's kind of a given. Sin is a concept within a religious structure which I do not believe in. Just saying. Then you shouldn't have an opinion on that concept. I don't believe in murder either, but I can still have an opinion on it.

Common sense is overrated. I prefer facts and logic. Got any?

Anybody watch "Jem"? My older sister got me hooked on it. Those bitches were hot. Actually, for a show that had eps that were (at various times) 10, 15 or 30 minutes long, it was pretty good. Odd thought, but was Jem a model for Sharon Apple in Macross Plus? I remember them being 30 minutes. Jem was based on a Hasbro toy, and the cartoon was made by the same studio that did GI Joe and Transformers.

Jefferson wrote the letter, but the 1st Amendment was not written by him.

They played Evolution to the ring on Raw once. That's news to me. It was around the time they added the lyrics to the theme song.

Poor Trish. She had her thread turned into a pointless Jericho argument. Now let's focus here, people!

That should say they greenlight a 4th season, since the third started back in July. I think they actually split the 3rd season into halves and decided to call a new "season" for publicities sake, especially since there was no break in between seasons 3 and 4, and they were running previews for episodes from this "season" during the credits of various season 3 shows. And all the other seasons had twice the number of half hour episodes. http://tvtome.com/JusticeLeague/eplist.html

Okay, how about THIS example: Divine Right of Kings, the belief that monarchs were put into power by supernatural forces/gods/God, is a principle which predates Western Civilization. We didn't have a term for it until much later, though.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
SuperJerk replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
WB's parent company is AOL/Time-Warner. Fox owns "Angel", though (which is why Firefly was on the Fox network, and Buffy reruns on the FX channel, and 20th Century Fox distributed the 1991 Buffy movie...TNT (another AOL-/Time-Warner network) only has Angel reruns because of a deal to keep Angel on the air a few years ago). It was called "Dark Shadows". It ran from 1966-1971 with over 1200 episodes. They already did a remake of it in 1991 which flopped. I'd heard the same rumor, which I found odd since they cancelled Angel over a show that never materialized -
Ozymandias was based on Peter Cannon, Thunderbolt. The Silk Spectre was only loosely based on Nightshade, though. Moore found the original Nightshade to be "boring," so he used elements from other female characters like the Black Canary for the Silk Spectre. I was wondering about Nightshade. Thanks.

Exactly. I find it ironic that he posted the letter from Jefferson in an attempt to prove that the separation does not exist, but the words of the letter so clearly show that the separation does (and should) exist. CE amatuers, RJ. Maybe he can go join MikeSC in the Bush/Evironment thread. No, he wasn't saying it "doesn't exist," Yes he was. There isn't. SEE?????? The principle does, but the terminology doesn't.

Popular Mechanics has experts on engines. Airplanes have engines. Airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11.

We were? News to me. Don't question my search abilities, hippie... OMG PWN3D~!!!!!!!!!!!!111 That'll teach me to ask a stupid question.

This thread is a classic example of how to defend one person (Limbaugh) by attacking someone else (Clinton). They're both hypocrites when it comes to moral values.
