That picture gave me a hard-OFF.

Whenever something illogical business decision is made, just assume a lawyer was involved somehow.

To my knowledge, Angle's only been in one Rumble match since he joined the company. Orton not being in the Rumble just means he (thankfully) won't be main eventing Wrestlemania. I'm kinda tired of seeing Big Show dominate battle royals. An in-ring confrontation with Kane might've been sorta cool, though.

Which means?

The only two places I've ever heard of lower demand leading to higher prices were the entertainment industry and college book stores.

No, it's not fucking like that all. Thanks for fucking elaborating I why you didn't fucking agree on my fucking analogy.

I've seen some total knock-outs there, but I've also seen some total dogs there. I think it just depends on what night you're there.

Batman was busy. What the fuck? What game is that? 2003's RAW2 on X-Box. The game mostly sucked (too many programming glitches), but it had an awesome CAS system (downloaded theme music, NWO t-shirts, and Jeff Hardy's ramp dance were all features...Admittedly, Batman's ears and insignia were photoshopped in). There's not enough distinction between lawyer and hooker for that idea to work. The difference between a lawyer screwing you for money and a hooker screwing you for money is that the hooker does what you ask.

Super Nanny gets her own t-shirt?

Because its not an actual competition. Same reason World New Tonight doesn't do stories about what happened earlier today on "General Hospital". Who are you going to feel worse for? The the guy with two kids who was fired because of reasons that were not even the guy's fault, or the guy with two kids who got fired because he sucked at his job?
-
You can't be serious. Why wouldn't he be? He's got a point.

Non-talented people should find jobs doing something else. If I suck at my job, I'd be better off having a job I don't suck at. If ran a record store, would I continue to employ a person who couldn't run the register right? If I'm a comic book editor, why should I give assignments to guys who can't draw? If I'm the manager of a restaraunt, should I put up with a waitress who screws up people's orders all the time? As far as the tag belts go, doing anything other than a tourney for them would be a wasted opportunity.

With the solid mic work Monday night, I can actually say I'm looking forward to seeing how the HBK/Edge feud unfolds. I'm digging Edge as a heel. There's plenty of material for Edge to milk when it comes to Shawn being a prima donna, and Shawn's no push-over when it comes to trading insults. Provided Edge goes over at Wrestlemania, I think this will be a good feud, and finally solidify him as a legit main eventer. His only other program to date that could've elevated him was his feud with Kurt Angle, but at that point in his career (early 2002), Angle had been so depiushed he was in no position to give anyone a rub. Plus, there was no follow up after the feud ended to make Edge look like a world-title contender. Am I alone in thinking that this feud will be a good feud and will elevate Edge?

I've vowed to officially start watching Smackdown regularly again after the Royal Rumble. Maybe.

Ahhh, but you contradict yourself here. A DQ is a finish, and there are many examples of matches that build to a DQ rather than a clean pinfall, and do so well. Austin/Angle, Austin/HBK, Taker/HBK from Ground Zero, these are all very good matches where the internal story and progress of the match led to the disqualification. I've seen very few matches where it builds towards a DQ. Angle/Austin from Summerslam 2001 is the best example of it doing this well, but it still felt cheap to end it that way, in my opinion. The only reason to set up a DQ finish to to set up a rematch for later on. This built-in "leave them wanting more" mentality is fine for a TV match or a house show, but on a PPV doesn't work. Fortunately in the case of Angle/Austin, it wasn't the main event, and you did have a rematch the next month.

I forgot about some of the earlier parts of the feud. You've got a point.

The HBK/Y2J feud started with Jericho getting the better of Shawn at every opportunity. This feud started with Michaels "screwing" Edge at every opportunity. It seems like they're setting it up for Edge to go over, since he's been booked weak against Shawn up to this point.

Such as me, for instance. This is bullshit. Of course, a clean finish is always preferred, but think about the best match you've ever seen and imagine it ending in a DQ. Would you then say the match sucked and that none of the good work prior to the finish was any good? No, I wouldn't. That has nothing to do with my point, though. A DQ finish doesn't make the match suck, but erodes it to the point where other matches that were almost as good can overtake it. Each year has enough potential runners up that any of them can easily overtake the actual MOTY if it had hypothetically had a DQ finish. That's because in a good match, the action builds towards a finish. In a match with a DQ, there is no actual finish. Rather, the match is ended abruptly by the referee because of a rules violation. Thus a major component of the match is missing. It'd be like having really great sex, but not climaxing. Sure, it was fun while it lasted, but you feel disappointed afterwards.

So long as you have undercarders that are to inexperienced to carry their end of a full match, or midcarders you need to give a belt to to help get over, or guys your just not sure what to do with, you can have a credible tag division.
-
No match with a DQ or run-in finish deserves to be considered MOTY. Period.

^Jester's sig is simply awesome.^ ON TOPIC: Hogan's probably the biggest draw and one of the popular performers in the history of wrestling. He deserves to be treated like that backstage. So long as he's not in the main event.

I can't imagine a tag team program building for 3 months. I'd rather see Rey vs. RVD. THAT'S your money match.

credit: lords of pain, via PWTorch.com and WrestlingObserver.com Okay, so now what? Hold off and hope she's okay by Mania for a rematch (meanwhile keeping her on screen), or push Victoria as the top contender?

I rewatched their ladder match from the 2001 Rumble the other day, so my anticipation level's pretty fucking high.
