Exactly. As far as the Angle/HBK situation goes, I think the best thing would be to trade HHH to Smackdown for Angle. Send HBK and two other guys for Angle and Cena to Raw. Besides...HBK's only going to be around for so long so you might as well cash in on all the stuff he hasn't even touched on Smackdown yet. Wasn't the whole point to get HBK and Angle on the same show????

4.--ratings seem to back this up, because it took a hell of a long time to recover viewers the Hogan push alienated, but there were worse ones. Putting the belt on Hogan gets way too much flak. His title win coincided with the initial brand split, which I think is what killed the ratings at that time, not to mention the overall decline in quality they were in the middle of. Hogan's ONE MONTH title run is just a scapegoat for (and symptom of) bigger, more longterm problems which were the true cause of the 2002 ratings tank.

^Good point.^ Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I thought "Get It" was just one commerical, not an entire reapproach to how they market themselves/run events/do matches/whatever it is you mean.

No doubt. Who HASN'T been a Tag Team Champion at some point? They're the wrestling world equivalent of Pamela Anderson. Speaking of the US title, THIS IS FUNNY: Way to no-sell the Invasion era WCW as being a separate company in the storylines.
-
I wouldn't imagine it'd be too different than the Monday Night Wars DVD. WCW was done to death as a topic on "Confidential" also, to a point where if you took the "Best of Confidential" and the "Monday Night Wars" together you've essentially already got a "Rise and Fall of WCW" DVD.

Depends who wins the Main Event. Triple H throws another party for himself to celebrate a title win = money. (Monopoly money that is.)
-
I can totally see those dumb asses going ahead and doing it anyways.
-
Just having Undertaker and Triple H try and coexist on the same show would be funny enough. Angle and JBL would be instantly buried.

I think him chasing the belt might draw big, but once he gets it, I'm not sure he can stay at the top.

Dream Matches in the WWE (or wrestling in general)
SuperJerk replied to zyn081's topic in The WWE Folder
Rey vs. RVD HBK vs. Angle Austin vs. Goldberg Brock vs. Sid (Yes, I'm serious.) -
Then Angle remembers he's a married man and that he's on national TV with a cameraman only a few feet away.
-
My thoughts exactly. Plus his entrance would probably be cut down to 2 minutes max I don't think they need to spring for the music rights until its released on DVD.
-
So far everyone's guessing almost exactly the same stuff. WWE isn't THAT predictable, is it?
-
Seems that way, doesn't it? Hard to justify making the WM main event a match the audience has already seen twice in 6 months. I guess one thing will be to have Batista win the Royal Rumble, but at the same I doubt they think Batista's ready to be World Champion. I'd like to see the HHH/Batista feud be non-title, since they won't need it to get heat the way they've been going so far.
-
Based on the "winner loses match before the PPV" rule, the main event is between Jericho, Benoit, and Triple H. ... Not hard to figure that one out.
-
Any theories on the rationale for having HHH/Orton 2 on free TV?

Classic.

I'm silly enough to be entertained by the idea of my favorite wrestlers chasing championship gold.

Despite her talent, Trish's titties will always be a selling point for me.

Only because of the huge cuts in expenditure they've made. They are still bringing in less money than previously. Yes, but so long as they're a profitable company (for whatever reason), they've still got a ways to go before they've hit the WCW level. How long they can stay profitable...that's another story.

... WCW 2000? When WWE loses 50 million dollars in 1 year, then say WCW 2000. Right now, it's more like WWF 1995. 2 main eventers and a bunch of crap. I think that's a good point. The company's not loosing money, and business is steady. I think Reign might've meant they're creatively at the level of WCW in 2000.

Is WWF building to Batista/HHH at Wrestlemania?
SuperJerk replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
My best hope is that Batista would face HHH at Mania in a non-title match, while heel Edge successfully defends the title against HBK. Smackdown may yet get the ME slot with Taker vs. Angle.
