I go and make one joke about Angle kicking someone's ass, come back later, and its turned into a 4 page reinactment of the fucking Lincoln/Douglas debate. I'm so proud.

Nova's name is Mike Bucci, though. Nova's got the chrisma, facials, and engery to make this work... I mean Nova did INVENT wrestling after all. Somebody please tell me the origin of that joke. I've been wondering it for the longest. The way I've heard it... don't take this as official... Someone used a move in a match, and Nova went on the record as saying that he invented it, the guy stole it from him, etc., etc. Whatever. This then hits the IWC, where a bunch of people (writers, message board posters) start making jokes about Nova inventing so-and-so, eventually turning into the overused running joke we have today. So does this mean Nova invented overused running jokes?

You stick to an inferior media that degrades over time because one WWF DVD release in five years had an audio problem? Cool. Well, I've got CVs from 1985 that look great so I'm not worried about degrading at all. Put a little scratch on the dvd and you're screwed. Plus, there's no way I'm starting my collection over. The disk is spinning too fast for one little scratch to matter. Besides, that scrath is on the plastic coating, not the stored data itself.

WWE VHS are recorded in SLP/EP. I bought Wrestlemania X8 on VHS to save a few bucks when it came out, and even BRAND NEW the tracking never stopped rolling on it.

Here's what we have to look forward to: Another six months of Jericho/Christian. Another six months of HHH/Orton. Another six months of Kane/Lita. Kinda makes you want to hibernate until March, don't it? edit: I'll just keep myself entertained by staring at Angle-plex's Trish sig. That's better.

They pushed the idea hard that Eugene was at home with a dislocated shoulder. It was done in a way where you'd think he's showing up in the Regal match or the HHH match tonight. Maven vs. Rodney Mack is the Heat match. Maven won with a school boy after kicking out of a rolling reverse, kicking Mack into Jazz, who had just interfered. Bad. Flair & Batista vs. Benoit & Regal are starting off the show. Benoit beat Flair via tap out with the crossface. Ordinary match, not nearly as good as most of their TV bouts. Christian is wanting to take Tyson Tomko away from Trish Stratus. They look to be breaking up Christian and Stratus. Christian wanted Tomko back but then Trish promised sexual favors to Tomko to keep him. Christian called Stratus a slut. Stratus vs. Victoria for the women's title is up now. Stratus won with the stratusfaction. Tomko attacked Victoria after the match until Stevie in the women's garb made the save. The whole crowd was chanting "Stevie." Tomko challenged mystery woman. Lawler & Ross are selling like the identity of the woman is the worst kept secret in wrestling. This was a worst match of the year candidate. Tomko pulled Richards' wig and dress off and he worked the match in granny panties and black socks. Crowd turned on this match as bad as you'll ever see. Tomko beat him up forever and won with the rack into a neckbreaker. Jericho beat Christian in the ladder match to win the IC title. These two worked their asses off, and Jericho nearly lost his ass near the end. It was a hard crowd, probably the residue from the previous match. Lots of big spots. The stunt spots got the crowd going. Jericho used a facebuster off the ladder and climbed up to win. Jericho took a bad bump off the ladder and Jericho's BUTT landed on the ladder. Jericho did an interview and they already teased Jericho vs. Edge as the next program once Edge returns. Shawn Michaels vs. Kane in a no DQ match is up now. Michaels won with a superkick after escaping a choke slam. At one point Kane was going to use a chair (Michaels had used it earlier), but Lita took the chair from him. Michaels juiced and also went through a table. He looked rusty in spots but still a good match. La Resistance vs. Rhyno & Tajiri are up right now. Greiner used a flagpole shot on Rhyno for the pin. Even though I'll agree they pulled the trigger too soon on Orton's face turn, he's doing a good job trying to get over as champ, and I'd hate to see his momentum killed by having him lose the title one month out. *raises sheilds and braces for attacks*

Its a great idea, but the writers are too lazy to keep track of stuff like that. Goes to show what's really killing the WWE is a lack of effort from the right people. I think that would appeal to people on sites like this one, but thats about it. If you look at the history of pro wrestling in North America, its usually the guys with charisma and gimmicks that appeal to the masses are the guys that get over. I cant see the average person, who doesn't follow wrestling every day, would care whether Jericho has had 1 IC title reign, 7 reigns or 456 reigns. But for the people on this board, stuff like rankings would be very appealing, just dont think ti would bring in any extra fans. It just seems to me that the matches might have more heat if they did stuff like this. It might make the matches seem more important and worth tuning in to.

Jericho said in an interview once the IC belt was his favorite title because Ricky Steamboat had been an IC Champ. That'd be like me saying I want a toupee because Sean Connery used to wear one.
