You know where it says: "Come here to discuss the latest Smackdown, or bitch about the latest Raw" on the TSM forums main page? Someone really needs to switch that.
-
I can totally see that. I remember Booker T cutting a promo on William Regal once where he referenced the American Revolution. Hey, that reminds me... ...didn't the last Steve Austin t-shirt have a Confederate-like flag on the back of it?

I think someone forgot to tell Lance that it was only the first half of a 3 1/2 hour movie, and that's the way it was filmed. It was only in post-production that it was decided they should cut it into volumes. Anyone else remember Jericho bitching about people not liking Attack of the Clones during his infamous King of the Ring 2002 rant (the one where he complained about people nitpicking his match with RVD...the damn thing was the only new thing on his site for almost a whole year)?

I love you in a non-ghey way BX, I really do. I think the whole concept of "Paying dues" is more than a little out of date. Nowadays we don't have the vast territory system that there once was which means that there really isn't many oppurtunities for wrestlers to pay their dues in America. You can travel to Japan and Mexico of course but not everyone can afford that much less get owrk visas for it. So you get guys like Orton, Benjamin, Cena, etc. who didn't spend years wrestling in high school gyms in front of 15 fans for shit money. They spend some time in the idnies then get a development contract. It's unfortunte because the territory system helped round out the younger wrestlers skills. Well techinically, Shelton Benjamin did wrestle in high school gyms. I mean he's only an AMATEUR wrestler. ZING~!

Its just STUPID for the WWE to use the name "Hirohito", and the promo they ran last night was horribly inaccurate. I think you're thinking of Tojo. Let me clarify this. Hirohito didn't get Japan involved in the war, the Japanese military did. The Japanese military invaded Manchuria in 1931 without the support of the Japan's democratic government. By the late 30's, the military had control of the government. While Hirohito took few steps to stop the war, evidence shows that he opposed getting the U.S. involved. He also opposed the alliance with Germany. When the war ended in 1945, Hirohito remained in power (although this was mostly a ceremonial position). Hirohito assisted General MacArthur in his efforts to reform the Japanese government in the late 1940s. Hirohito remained emperor of Japan until 1989 (during the lifetime of every Japanese worker in the WWE), when he died. He was the longest reigning emperor in Japanese history.

"We don't advertise to kids... I mean...We do now"

And just when FrigidSoul and RavishingRickRudo breathe a sigh of relief, they bukkake Miss Jackie. -
Eugene says, "Raw is gonna be window-lickin' good!!!"

So I guess Big Show throwing Kurt Angle off of a 20 foot drop is supposed to teach kids about gravity? -

What about the 3,543,586 behind the scenes looks at "Walking Tall" and "the Rundown"? -
Raw's been pretty good since Benoit joined up. No reason to think tonight won't be otherwise.

"Mr. McMahon, don't make me angry...you wouldn't like me when I'm angry."

Lets all hope they keep Edge far, far away from that big gold belt for a while. The REAL question: Who's next for Benoit? They probably won't put him into another program until the build for Bad Blood begins. Will HHH get YET ANOTHER rematch? If they weren't both faces, a Jericho/Benoit program would be a good idea.

Flag? Am I going to have to wait until the DVD to find out what you're talking about?

HBK tapped to the sharpshooter? Okay, let's all agree: Montreal should never be mentioned ever again.

This may be the only place on the internet where you can see the name of a woman and the word "blow" in the same sentence without it having any sexual connotation whatsoever. We're an enlightened bunch. Personally, I'm more offended at the connotation that Lita blows dogs. Hey, speaking of "blowing spots"...didn't that movie "See Spot Run" star an ex-WCW champion? COINCIDENCE??????????

They always say this.

It was on a very early episode of Confidential (Mean Gene was there). Jake couldn't get it through his thick ugly skull that the intention wasn't to pick two girls all along, but that (for whatever reason) Big, Snow, and the rest legitimately thought the two women were better. The problem with TE was that Matt Morgan dropped out early with an injury, Hawk quit because of his mental disorder, and the one other kid with any potential skill ("Danimal") was bounced because he couldn't cut a promo. After those three left, there was nothing but crap to choose from. Jackie, of course, was only picked because she stuck-out the knee injury. It seemed like TE2 also made that mistake.

I'm not saying I agree with this guy...but I think this guy's article is worth mentioning. http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/columns/...columns_id=2546

Could Stacy be the next Brock Lesnar? A lot think so.
-
No, but not caring makes you look closed-minded. If you want to pursuade people that you're correct, you'll need to present a better argument than "that doesn't matter because I don't care". Looks like someone was sick the day they explained metaphors in English class.

I like Lance and all, but he's got all the intensity of chocolate milk. There's no conspiracy here. The guy just simply has a hard time getting/staying over, and the WWE wants to give TV time to other folks for a while before they try and push him again.
-
Actually, in a courtroom scenario, you'd be the lawyer for Austin. Lawyers are the ones who usually try to have evidence dismissed. I was saying you weren't sounding rational for saying you acknowledge the existence of about the key piece of evidence regarding the difference between Lesnar and Austin (i.e. two weeks notice), while at the same time choosing to dismiss it by simply saying you didn't care. If we were identifying logical fallacies, this is what's known as "invincible ignorance".

Batista will accompany Flair to the ring and cost Benjamin the match. Bejamin and Flair will then proceed to feud (ensuring Benjamin TV time in an upper-midcard role) until the blow-off at Bad Blood. At least that's how I'd book it. And a Matt Hardy/Hurricane fued would own.
