And yet we still question the idea of having these three as the Wrestlemania ME? Sounds like the fans want to see this match to me. stupidest thing Ive read today... HBK wasnt scheduled to be involved...just shows up and mooches onto a HHH vs. Benoit contract segment. How does that show the audience is interested in HBK-Benoit-HHH? The crowd seemed to die just a bit as it dragged along, and ratings went down after the contract swerve. You really need to give 'thought' a try there duder If most fans were not interested, there's a strong chance they'd have changed the channel when HBK showed up, thus decreasing the numbers. Instead, they stayed tuned because they wanted to see how HBK would become involved. The ratings went down after the contract swerve becasue the show broke for commercial. If you're trying to disprove my theory, perhaps YOU should more thought into it, "duder".

I think Byte This is kayfabed only part of the time, like Confidential. They talk about storylines they'd like to do, and talk about other superstars as if everyone's buddies, but they also talk about the matches as if its a real competition.

HBK needs to turn heel in order for the feud with Benoit to work. And I mean a full-blown, pompous ass heel. Not bad-guy-you-love-to-cheer heel.

I'd like to point out that Cena only raps about the first half of the song "Basic Thuganomics". Anyone know who the second rapper is?

If they have HBK pin HHH, turn heel, then drop the strap to Benoit at Backlash in Edmonton, it'll be worth it. Because it'll mean a HBK/Benoit one-on-one PPV match. I needed to put my reason in there.
-
Yeah, I remember now. Angle was supposed to drop the title to Lesnar on Smackdown, and then have Benoit face Brock at WMXIX. I also remember rumors that they scrapped plans for Rock/Austin/Triple H, except no one wanted to job to HHH. I wondered if there was any truth to them.

Benoit is listed on the RAW Superstars page, so I'm pretty sure he's RAW talent. Plus, we all know he'll be wrestling a Raw PPV in April.

Excellent point in the case of the vets. If a younger guy gets pops, though, that's another story. A lot of the time at a show, fans will just pop because they're happy to see someone they've been watching for a while on TV (see the Undertaker). Ability has to count for something, too, or else crowds will get tired of someone very quickly. Cena's in a perfect position for a US Title run, but wait for him to get more experience before you ME him.
-
Why would Angle's neck being injured be considered part of the reason he got the ME slot? I know you have a reason, I'm just wondering what it is.
-
You mean the fact that they've been CHEERING him? Not that he's getting Cena-size pops, but still. How fucking loud's the crowd gotta be, Vince? Very loud, considering he'll be carrying the World Title. Benoit's great and all, he's just not as over with the marks as say, Shawn Michaels, is. It will be very interesting to see how this all plays out. UYI Proving once again my theory: marks suck. I'm always hearing people in the WWE claim Vince has an amazing ability to make stars out of people. And yet, they give up on so many people so easily.
-
"Kind of like how the WWE failed to create new stars and got terrible in the early 90s and kind of like how the WWE failed to create new stars when they were hot in 98-2000 and are paying for it now?" From 1998-2000 they created a ton of stars. 2000-2002 is a different story.

Instead of finding copies of this thing at Best Buy last night, I found a billion copies of Armageddon instead. DAMN YOU, KLIQ! DAMN YOU! (Not sure how this was his fault, but a bandwagon is a bandwagon...)

Awww, that's just wishful thinking.

If I were to make a WWE drinking game, one of the drinks would be taken whenever the US military is mentioned in relation to Bradshaw. -

And like that, Tazz and Josh are at the announce booth. edit: If Angle can carry both of those two in a match, he deserves the title shot at Mania. -

Doubtful. Smackdown Records's new release is slated to be "'Taker My Heart Right Out," a collection of country ballads sung by Mark Calloway. If Sable's on it, they can call it CUNT-trie music. Oh look who lost... ...I'm shocked. -

More like "Tune in tonight to see if I still have to job!" The WWE website still has last week's episode listed under the preview, so I guess its not a rerun after all. v Sorry for the confusion.
