No, it probably doesn't cost "peanuts" at all. Your insurance tab is actually being picked up by the company you work for. I don't know what you do, but I'm that cost of business is being passed on to someone, somewhere. Hence, your health insurance is an economic burden on someone else.

"Ridiculous". (only because you've made the same mistake a few times, and it bugs me each time) My other typos feel neglected.

That's ridicules. Universal health care wouldn't just be for my "brat," but also YOU, your kids (if you ever have any), your neighbor's kids, and your nieces and nephews, etc. Americans (myself included) are already paying big money for health care in the form of premiums, copays, and miscellaneous costs. The argument that replacing these costs with higher taxes would place some enourmous tax burden on us is a false choice. You need to get off your fucking "I shouldn't have to pay for this" mentality long enough to realize you already are getting your pockets picked by insurance companies and that you're already going to have to pay the money.

Mrs. Clinton was apparently asked at a "town hall" meeting in New Hampshire this morning if she would say she would apologize for voting for the war. She said she'd not have voted for the war if she knew then what she knows now, claiming that's what she's been saying all along.

Not since Jessica Simpson endorsed George W. Bush has a celebrity opinion been this thought provoking.

As a parent, I'm paying almost $200 a month in health care premiums for my child. But, you know, screw universal healthcare because it might cause my taxes to go up.

Coverage of this event really illustrated for me the differences between the networks: CNN finally stopped taking about Anna Nicole Smith for 5 minutes to allow Obama's speech to be seen. MSNBC had Chris Matthews, Howard Fineman, and someone else live in Springfield covering the speech outside and basically treated it like the second coming of Abraham Lincoln. Fox News interupted some of their financial shows to cover the speech, then immediately went back to the financial shows with "experts" arguing whether Obama's or Mrs. Clinton's economic poicies would be worse for stockholders and the economy. Transcript of Obama's Speech.

Barack Obama is going to formally announce later this morning. His website says their webstream of it will begin at 10:50 am eastern time.

I have it and it's easy to setup. Does anyone know if the 360 will work with wireless adapters besides the official X-Box one (that retails for $99)? I too would like to know this. I have a Linksys set up in our apartment, but I really don't want to shell out 100 bucks for something that I likely wouldn't use but for roster updates. if you really want you can just get some cat5 cable and run it to the 360, that's a much cheaper way to do it. My X-Box 360 isn't even on the same floor of my house as my router.

House Republicans may be incompetent, corrupt, and criminally neglegent, but at least they don't ask for big planes.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/07/rom...n.ap/index.html This flip-flop might gain him some votes in the primaries, but he'd get eaten alive for it in the general election. Given that we're only 1 SCOTUS appointment away from a Roe V. Wade reversal, both sides are going to make damn sure there's no ambiguity on where someone stands on this.

TV deaths that pissed you off or upset you

Worst part was all the stuff about the coma was dubbed in at the last minute, so everyone was running around acting like Duke was dead for the rest of the movie until they announce at the end that Duke was out of the coma. Mute the audio when Scarlett says he went into the coma, and at the end where she says he came out of it, and its a much better movie. -
A lot of the stuff those kids got Saturday school for in that movie would get them arrested or expelled today.

You gotta consider the "WTF" factor.

Indiana Jones 4 release date announced!

The only way I'd see Speed Racer is if his car transformed into a giant robot and the movie was called "Transformers." Didn't all the nostalgia for "Speed Racer" die about 10 years ago? I seem to vaguely remember it being popular again around the time I was in college THE FIRST TIME. -

I don't supposed anyone has mentioned Optimus Prime? Okay, not strictly a "TV death," since it said death was in a movie, but the movie was based directly off of the TV show, and the next season of the TV show picked up where the movie left off. Okay, and he didn't stay dead, either, but still... -

I don't see that really happening. -
what does that mean? It means you're not as big a nerd as the rest of us.

Worth repeating.

Awesome buildups leading to disappointment and/or irrational plot twists was that show in a nutshell, though. Andromeda was never that great of a show, but it was like the writers took the 3 good ideas the series started with and insisted on going in the opposite direction from anything that could've made the show good. -
I bet its Mr. Jump the Shark! Ted McGinley?
