Whedon pulls out of Wonder Woman project

That's true, because it generally means one of two things - the writer's vision didn't jibe with the directors or the script sucked. Which I suppose says more about his ability to play ball with others than about his writing skills. Yeah, but most Hollywood films are usually made by committees of writers and producers who completely change scripts for reasons that are more commerical than artistic. -

"I don't need 7 minutes." The first part of his speech is making me want to move to New Mexico. Obama's speech: Part 1 Part 2

Why I don't have high expectations for Romney: 1. There's a lot of prejudice against Mormons within the religious groups that have veto power over the Republican nomination. 2. Voters aren't going to equate running the Olympics with running a war. They're not even close to being the same things.

lol Still funny to me. -
Fixed. I don't have you pegged as a criminal, just someone that will bury decades of unhappiness in bourbon. My taste for booze is vastly overshadowed by my desire to punch my coworkers in the face. Oh, it'll happen. Some day, it'll happen.

The title of the Diane Keaton movie must've scared submissive people into seeing it.

Jennifer Garner's mannish appearance and swollen lips were distracting I'm not seeing what you're seeing.

Rosalind Shays, LA Law. Wiki calls it a "jump the shark" moment, and the episode was called "Good To The Last Drop". I'd agree with this since that's about when I quit watching.

I hate to say it, but the press has already picked out the people they will be covering and who they will be pretending don't exist. Sadly, Richardson seems to be in the "doesn't exist" area. So right now the Democrats are who? Richardson, Clinton, Edwards and Biden. Did I miss anyone or is that it so far? I'm not 100% sure if Obama said he is going for the nod or not yet. I'd say of those four, the media will view them like this Clinton and Biden- Front Runners Edwards- The "Dark Horse" candiate Richardson- Who? (Frontrunners are in bold, but in no particular order.) Republicans John McCain Rudy Guiliani Mitt Romney Sam Brownback Tommy Thompson Duncan Hunter Tom Tancredo Jim Gilmore Ron Paul Mike Huckabee Democrats John Edwards Hillary Clinton Barack Obama Tom Vilsack Dennis Kucinich Joe Biden Bill Richardson Chris Dodd Mike Gravel Maybe Newt Gingrich Chuck Hagel Al Sharpton Wesley Clark George Pataki No Thanks John Kerry Dick Cheney Bill Frist Mark Warner Evan Bayh Al Gore Russ Feingold Howard Dean Tom Daschle Condoleezza Rice Jeb Bush Ed Rendell Frank Keating George Allen Three reason to be optimistic: (1) At this stage, being a frontrunner just means you have the biggest target on your back. (2) Caucus voters don't really care how big your campaign accounts are. They just want to like you. (3) The Democrats usually don't nominated the early frontrunner, and the only times they did have been the years presidents or vice presidents were running.

I just got back from seeing "Catch and Release," as it was my wife's turn to pick the movie. If you feel the need to see this film for whatever reason, I recommend renting it and fast-forwarding through any scene Kevin Smith isn't in.

Whedon pulls out of Wonder Woman project
SuperJerk replied to Atticus Chaos's topic in Television & Film
Its hard to gage someone's track record for writing movies when the scripts he writes aren't the ones that actually get filmed 99% of the time. The only movie I'm aware of that he actually wrote what showed up on the screen was Serenity, which was great until the ending. -
Does anyone else think the press is ignoring this guy?

Whedon pulls out of Wonder Woman project

Whedon was never a fan of the character, so I'm not too disappointed. I'd rather see him write an X-Men movie. -
In the new issue of Wizard (which I bought for reasons even I don't fully understand), they have a quote from Mark Waid says "hiring a supervillian and getting busted in public and all of that was part of Booster's plan Would Booster be that big of a douche? No, of course not."

I actually have 2 N64s, for some reason.
