  1. 5) Double my viewing stats at camwithher.com

FAILED - God, you don't know how long I wanted to make my full camwhore status known here, but promoting is bad, blah blah... I even hinted at it for over a year, but my various Internet stalker detectives proved insufficient. Shocking. So, anyway, the hits didn't come. Fuck you, assholes.

She was STILL trying to pass those camwithher pics as legit right to very end? Sad.

  2. After getting blasted last week for presenting a budget plan light on details, House Republicans yesterday unveiled a more complete proposal that would cut taxes for businesses and the wealthy, freeze most government spending for five years, halt spending approved in the economic stimulus package and slash federal health programs for the poor and elderly...

...Annual deficits also would be slightly lower than under the revised budget plans that emerged last week from the House and Senate budget committees. The revised Democratic proposals would require the nation to borrow about $4 trillion over the next five years, compared with $3.1 trillion in new borrowing under the GOP alternative.

"Pick our plan that not only does nothing for the economy, but also actively fucks people over, because it costs 23% less!"

  3. Personally, I just think this whole episode has been the greatest April Fool's Joke ever.*

Though, technically, starting the gag a few days early and then letting everyone off the hook on April 1st is probably cheating, but whatever.

*Except for about a couple of hundred dozen other jokes I'm sure I could find if I were inclined to do the research.

  4. GM CEO Wagoner to step down at White House request

Either the Republicans are going to applaud that he's stepping down because GM sucks and shouldn't being lugging dead weight around if they want to be competitive in a open market, or (more likely) they're going to offer this as more proof Obama is trying to run the private sector, even if he is just following through on policies started during the last days of the Bush Administration.

  5. -Defense of the U.S. when comparing to other countries = off topic.

I never said that. Stop being dumb.

So you're saying you don't have a problem with doing a comparative defense of the U.S. in regards to other countries, so long as I don't actually say anything about the history of the other countries with which I am doing the comparisons? Yeah, maybe instead of lecturing me with contradictions, you should just shut the fuck up and stop trying to tell me what to talk about.

I'm done talking about this now.

  6. Our track record of propping up brutal military juntas is pretty unmatched as well.

The topic of this discussion is American Imperialism/Hegemony, not "the history of every other world power." I'm sure if you made a thread called "British Imperialism" XC would be right there, posting a litany of awful human rights abuse committed in the name of the Crown.

    To review:

-Criticism of the U.S. when comparing to other countries = acceptable.

-Defense of the U.S. when comparing to other countries = off topic.

  7. Yup, that's right there on page 17...along with this gem:

    reform_plus_end_bailouts_equals_white_people.jpg

I'm going to use what I've learned through years of studying visual presentations to analyze this information:

    • Fannie (a.k.a. the Federal National Mortgage Association, but let's never ever call it that) = bad.
    • Freddie (a.k.a. Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, ditto) = bad.
    • Bailouts = bad.
    • Recovery = good.
    • Little kids = cute.
    • Moms = blonde.
    • Dads = gay.

  8. I'm going to pause from kissing the president's BUTT for a few minutes to ridicule the Republicans. Who's with me?

"Two nights ago the president said, 'We haven't seen a budget yet out of Republicans.' Well, it's just not true because -- Here it is, Mr. President," said House Minority leader Rep. John Boehner, as he held up a booklet that he said was a "blueprint for where we're going."

The OFFICIAL Republican Road to Recovery

Not so much a budget as is it a campaign document that doesn't make any sense.

This is what you call a "graphic organizer," except it really doesn't organize anything, just connects one unrelated thing to the next with a few lines.

But look, a chart! With numbers!

Laugh with me at the accuracy of Republican deficits.

  9. Once again, he wants to put the U.S. on trial and ignore the history of every other world power which have done things far worse and with far more detrimental consequences.

Regarding the slave trade, I don't think the United States should be blamed for the policies of the nations which controlled this land prior to the founding of the U.S. in the 1770s. The British and the Spanish Empires were the ones that brought slavery to America, not a government that didn't exist yet. Allowing the slave trade to continue from the 1770s to the early 1800s, and then allowing an internal slave trade until the 1860s are immoral things the U.S. did and allowed, but you can't point a finger at the U.S. for things that were done while were colonies under someone else's control, because that absolves the true culprits. Regarding the Mexican War, it should be noted that Mexico was unfairly compensated for the land they lost in the war, but the land they lost was also stolen from the Native Americans by the Spanish before Mexican independence. Not that it makes what we did right, but Mexico's own claim on the land was dubious as well.

I don't want to make this a personal argument (though he already has), but I'm waiting for the post where X.C. blames us for the Holocaust. That's how ridiculous this is becoming.
