  1. Um...

WrestleMania's gonna be a good show, why does it need saving?

    - Two main events with non-predictable outcomes (personally, I think Cena and Rey take it),

    - a should-be-entertaining HBK/McMahon match (lots of possibilities...and Michaels has had nothing but very good WM matches since his return)

    - The finish of the awesome Trish/Mickie feud

    - MITB 2 has a diverse lineup and a more prestigious. Flair will bleed, RVD will kick, Finlay will hit Lashley with things, Hardy will bump, and Shelton will hopefully get on his game.

    - Taker's been good lately. Henry takes a good beating and is a decent monster heel.

    - Carlito & Masters are entertaining personalities (whiny Tony Montana and dumb oafy I'm the leader!), they may be a very poor man's Owen & Bulldog but I'll take it...and I'm rooting for them.

    - The Hall of Fame.

I agree it's not worth $50. So go to a bar and watch it. Invite friends over.

RAW has been all filler anyway. Mania will be fine.

    Uh.....

Triple H is winning the title.

Rey is getting a 60 day reign

MITB2 will suck and RVD wins it

Micky wins to keep the going for another 20 weeks.

    Taker wins a boring squash

Show/Kane get screwed to noody caring

    HoF is the night before

Foley and Edge will be a boring spot match with Edge winning it.

    Bottomline 2 thumbs down

  2. Um, lets see:

Vince McMahon is an asshole who is clearly stuck in the past. His sole reason for the past 8 years of "screw jobs" is masturbatiory booking. He needs to get over it and move the fuck on with his life.

Shawn talks like he is moving on with his life, but yet keeps bringing it up and changing his story each time he is asked about it. He needs to get over it and move the fuck on with his life.

Bret Hart has a right not to trust the WWE, however, he keeps talking like a god damn emo listening teenager who had his LGN doll stolen from him 8 years ago. He needs to get the fuck over it and move the fuck on with his life. But he is smart by not going to Wrestlemania. After this event, never speak of it again and please can the bullshit end.

  3. Lets see:

Joined this board night before the big opening...over 4 years ago.

Was at the ezboard its entire run...plus posted on the delphi board. As well as TheShooters.net. Jesus freaking christ, I been posting WAY too long.

  4. Best match:

    Bret: vs Tiger Mask I

    HBK: vs Jarrett (IYH2)

Flair: Vs Steamboat 2/3 falls (Clash of the Champions VI)

Austin: vs Bret Hart (Survivor Series 10/ 1996)

    Worker:

    Bret (only 5 moves repeated)

Austin (FUCKING great from 1990 to 1997, pretty good with a broken neck)

Flair (almost the same match with everyone sans the really good workers)

HBK(THE same match with everyone sans the really good workers)

    Talker:

    Flair (duh)

HBK (heel work is some the best)

Austin (Mic skills fell off faster than his ring skills)

Hart (Like Arn Anderson's career, solid, yet utterly forgettable)

    Overall:

Hart: to quote JR: From bell to bell you knew you were getting quality

Flair: would be higher if he retired in 1994.

Austin: His career as a worker peaked in the summer of 97, his drawing power peaked in the summer of 99.

HBK: sums up the WWF in on swoop: Flashy without much substance.

  5. WM17 did a little over 1 million buys(domestically).

WMXX did a little under 1 million buys(domestically).

WM21 did about 650K buys(domestically) but started charging countries around the world to show the PPV(which was free for the most part) and made the number skyrocket up to well past 1 million buys.

But this is like comparing The Eagle's Greatest Hits album(largest selling album ever, domestically 26+ million) vs Thriller(58 million world wide) and stating whats the bigger selling CD.

Uh, Triple H wrestling Taker is MUCH bigger than Orton wrestling Taker. And MITB is a shell of TLC II. Biggest two draws in the MITB match were Jericho and Benoit, yet both weren't drawing much in 2005, yet TLC II had the Hardyz who had a Roman sized legion of fans. McMahon vs McMahon is a much bigger match than JBL vs Cena. With respect of WM21, Angle vs HBK was a big aid, but HHH vs Big Dave was THE money match of the year. No other match all year could really compare to how big that match was....sans HBK vs Hogan.

  6. I have a belkin G with a notebook adapter and a USB adapter for my PC all for like $70.00 on sale at CompUSA. If you want a BASIC router, you get no moe BASIC than the standard Belkin G. For X-mas when two more PCs get added to the router, I am upgrading to a MIMO or Pre-N.

  7. WM14=$35.00 bucks when the rest of the PPVs were $30.00

WM15=$35.00 bucks when the rest of the PPVs were $35.00

WM16=$40.00 bucks for just the PPV, $50bucks for the whole 12 hour pre-game show and WM.

WM17 through 21=$50.00 bucks for a 4 hour PPV when the rest of the 3hours were $35.00

  8. Well, WCW ignored his two WWF title reigns then.

As for the NWA/TNA world championship: Flair was WCW/NWA world Champion when he was fired. Since he owned the NWA title, he kept it when he went to the WWF. WCW title was won by Luger and the NWA bought the title from Flair and did a tournament to crown a new champion. Douglas threw it to the ground and ECW was born. They did yet another one and this time Skip became NWA world Champion. The title lived as an indy/Japan prop until they stripped The Beast and Shamrock became TNA world Champion.

  9. They are just NOW in the demo stages of the areas hit, but it is VERY slow because they are STILL finding dead bodies in the mess. Army Core of Engineers dried out the city and they are still repairing all of the inner city levies. So, unless someone has an engineering degree or wishes to work free of charge with the Red Cross, what the fuck is a bus driver or a Superdome Concession stand worker going to do?

Another failed point by you: Where do you go? If they go back, where are they going to live? There is limited housing. Limited shops, apartments and projects are gone, trailer parks are somewhere in the Gulf. There is no place to live. The only way is to displace them around the entire country. If someone lived in New Orleans, I doubt that they will love having to move to the colder and much more expensive northeast.

If they stay in Houston, what jobs? All bus drivers are completely screwed, Houston has enough of those. The only people able to work fast are teachers, firefighters, police, ect. The rest do not have much hope.

BTW: The 9th Ward has to be one of the worst areas on the poverty scale. Katrina took what little these people have and now they have nothing. Middle class people on the internet do not have any scope as to what living poor is. There homes where hit the worst. Some have no money, no home, and no work experience. Yet this country is supposed to just let them die? How can we not have any “social welfare” when over 2 million people are not in the position to jump up and continue on with life as if Katrina was only a tropical storm that did nothing in the late 90s.

  10. taking my mistake of the list that leaves:

NWA(TNA, JCP, Georgia, ect ect ect)

WWE Championship (WWWF, WWF, WWE: Cena's current title)

    WCW(Flair to Booker T)

    AWA(Gagne to Larry Z.)

    NJPW: IWGP(Hogan to Lesnar)

AJPW: Triple Crown(Baba to present day)

WWE: World Champion (Big Gold Belt: Angle's current title)

NOAH: GHC (Misawa to present day)

You know whats sad? After almost 60 years of clear world titles, only three are left stateside and two are in one comapny.

The ECW world title did not merge into the WWE title. The WWE championship at its peak is the WWE Championship, WCW world, IC, US, Euro, Hardcore, WCW International World, WWF National, and maybe the WCW TV title.

BTW: How many title reigns is under Hogan's belt? 12?

    6 WWF/E reigns

    5 WCW reigns(I think)

    1 IWGP reign

  11. Here is what the court will do:

Since Planned Parenthood v. Casey and Roe v Wade ARE the laws of the land on the issue of abortion. The Undue burden of this law gets struck down and they move on from the issue without really touching the issue. This court will not fuck with Roe....yet.

  12. This is going to get ugly, because people do not know when to define life as beginning. But these abortons will still happen. The only difference is that the people enter the side door and not the front.

Clinton said it best: "We need to keep abortons safe, legal, and rare"

  13. USWA was the AWA, WCCW, and Memphis merging into one fed. Granted the AWA died, and WCCW soon after, but the title lineage is related to all three merging as one so that none of the groups died due to NWA and WWF owning wrestling in North America.

  14. LONGEST running WORLD title is the NWA World title: 1948- present day.

LONGEST straight lineage for the world title goes to the WWE championship: 1961 present day.

In my eyes, these are the world titles that should count:

NWA(TNA, JCP, Georgia, ect ect ect)

WWE Championship (WWWF, WWF, WWE: Cena's current title)

    WCW(Flair to Booker T)

    AWA(Gagne to Larry Z.)

    NJPW: IWGP(Hogan to Lesnar)

AJPW: Triple Crown(Baba to present day)

    USWA (Memephis, AWA, WCCW)

WWE: World Champion (Big Gold Belt: Angle's current title)

NOAH: GHC (Misawa to present day)

  15. Impact is a show on Sat nights and that is being compared to a show late mornings on Sat? Core demo of fans of wrestling are generally out on Sat night. Yet the AM RAW show is mostly seen by by the younger fanbase of the WWE.

How in the hell could one comapre the two. When Impact goes to Thursday at primetime, THEN you can compare the two shows. Until then, why bother. 1 more thing, TNA and the WWE aren't rivals yet. Its like saying in 1999 that ECW was going neck and neck with the shotgun ratings. Big fucking deal.
