  1. Rule 1 of the music folder of TSM:

If it pop, it sucks because it doesn't sound like<insert, indy, metal, or pre-80's music>.

Rule 2 of the music folder of TSM:

If you personally don't like it, not only does it suck but everyone with a different opinion in music has bad taste.

Rule 3 of the music folder of TSM:

Different opinions and common sense need not apply.

  2. An 11 year old pretending to wrestle with someone after watching Smackdown. SUPRISE SUPRISE! The only problem is the fact that the other person was too frail and died. He isn't a heartless monster. He was a fucking preteen. Since they were wrestling, wouldn't the charge be manslaughter anyways? Since it wasn't any thought of killing her at all? Isn't even second degree a little steep?

BTW, too all who say that they kill the person that did this. You are not only fucking stupid, you are all hypocrites. If you kill a "monster" because he killed someone, then you are a monster yourself. We have a judical branch for a reason. Their job is to handle these kind of people, not yours. This isn't the fucking 1880s. We aren't in the wild west. And this Tate person isn't Billy the Kid. All this talk of how badly you want to do something is just bullshit written on a Wrestling & Pop Culture messageboard. In real life half of these bullshit ramblings would be kept to yourself where they should here too.

  3. Gangsta rap is about as alive and kicking as George Washington. 50 cent talks alot about guns because he was shot and is ready for the next time. Money and fame, all raps of all time talk about that. Hell look at the first rap song. Hell, look at Kurtis Blow or Funky 4 Plus 1.

Name one mainstream rapper, past or present, who doesn't talk about how much money they make or how much they got.

  4. A little history lesson:

Jazz is the oldest form of modern music. One of its subgenres is Blues. Blues music progressed enough to include hooks and bridges into their music. It was dubed Rhythem and Blues(not the tag team of the Hammer and Honky Tonk Man). By the early 50s, R&B started adding gutairs and making edgy music that Teenagers liked. Soon white people started covering black R&B songs. They dubed the wite covers Rock and Roll and the Blacks kept R&B. Hence stuff like Jr. and the All stars is a R&B song all the while still doing a rock like song.

Fast forward to the 70s where R&B split into three main genres. Funk, Soul, Disco. Funk being faster pace songs for partying with full band sounds. IE: stuff like early Prince, Gap Band, Rick James, P-Funk, Eearth Wind and Fire, ect. Soul being slower songs with more love stuff and Motown like music. IE: stuff like Earth Wind and Fire slow songs, Teena Marie, A. Franklin, Mimmi Ripperton(R.I.P). Disco is like Funk with faster music but pop music of the time. Soul Voices on Pop Dance music with alot of 1 hit wonders. IE: Bee Gees, Jacksons, Andy Gibb, ect.

By the 80s, R&B started fusing back together into one genre to just split again. Regualr R&B like Whitney Houston and Jodi Whatley. With the new genre being New Jack Swing like New Edition(Plus Solo LPs), Tony Toni Tone, ect. Which just was renamed "Hip Hop" as R&b and Rap fused together(even though that is far from the truth). Reg R&B just kept the name of its older music even though it is anything but what it started out to be. Ashanti, Beyonce, Mya, Mary J. ect are just using a name for a genre completely different.

It is like saying how is Linkin Park and Metallica called rock(and subgenres) when ALL of them don't sound anything like Little Richard or Bob Holly?

  5. Last weekI ran a virus check and everything was fine and clean. Then I get the dreaded McAfee subscription is almost up message and let it go for the rest of the week. Then the other day I picked up McAfee Internet Suite and loaded everything and updated everything. I was able to use everything on my PC. I run a spyware check and get about 28 worms found and deleted them. I then try to update my Kazaa to version 2.6 and can't uninstall Kazaa. Now I try going into Control Panel and Windows Explorer crashes, EACH time. I try restarting and it crashes again. I ran virus scan and to see if any new virus were placed down on my PC. I got a crappy HP with XP on it and can't wait until July when I buy my new PC.

  6. I think the biggest problem people on this board have with rap is the fact that all they hear is these words in every song MTV plays:

Ice, Bling, guns, money, drugs, rims, dubs, "High priced drinks, cars, clothes".

The next problem is that songs like "One Mic" get ignored in the mainstream but everyone is ready to bash rap for shit like Nelly. But complain about rap being too "Thugish" yet ignore Nelly for making party songs. Another problem is that people who are the loudest about hating rap also are the dumbest. I read atleast two people state that they were HAPPY that Jam Master Jay was killed.

Third major problem is rap's fault. Mainsteam music changes often, but then everything sounds like it. IE: Boy bands were different in late 97 early 98, then a flood of them are out. Plus the lyrics could sound the same if you heard a few songs once. Sampling doesn't help matters. I swear that "Lodi Dodi" by The Get Fresh Crew is the most sampled song of all time. Hearing major hooks from songs being songs from 70s and 80s could make people upset a little.

If people says all rap is the same. Then listen to stuff like Tupac, Outkast, Wu-Tang, Wyclef, Jay-Z(non released singles) and Missy. They don't do the normal rap that most hate. It isn't the normal shit. Good talent that most might hate goes to D-Block and G-Unit.

  7. Well, if I know my US history correctly, since no where in the Constitution says anything about gay marriages or straight marriages. It falls under the 10th admenment meaning it is ONLY a state issue unless the courts turns it down. The only way the federal goverment can ban gay marriages is if it becomes an admentment, which will prevent the courts from banning it.

The reason this debate came out is because Karzy Karter said something really stupid and never backed it up.

  8. Let me make myself clear. By the laws of this land, two hetro people can get married on a whim and Hollywood can break everything Bush is trying to make marriage stand for is wrong to do, but ok by law and allowable. IE: Married By America and all reality shows like it and Shit like what J-Lo and Briitney did. But it is wrong to allow two people who love each other and WANT to stay together get married. I am pointing it out that the laws make no sense.

It is like if whites could go into any Burger King and do what they please like spit on the food and throw it on the floor. But Blacks couldn't even get in the door, even if all they wanted to do was eat out...wait, bad pun there.

As for other parts of his speech. He wants tax cuts to stay but he wants to spend like a Dem? Uh, WHERE IS THIS MONEY GOING TO COME FROM?!?! He got over as a Conservative Republican. He should act like one.

His "No Child Left Behind" crap. He fails to see that some people don't want to learn. Social Promoation is the problem with schooling. Not letting someone through the ranks because he stopped showing up the 3rd month of the school year but came back in time for prom. He should see how well people in his state are doing with his college plan. Giving kids who don't deserve it a chance a schools they shouldn't even be in is just wrong dumb and wasteing time of a whole lot of people.

  9. Depending on the area, a little more, the same, little less. Mostly decent apartments in Stamford go for 1500 a month. Great ones go for 2300 a month. Fairfield county is in the top three areas in the country with the most million dollar homes. The same problem in CA(land value) is here in Conn. I think Dames is going to Hartford Country, or Willamantic, it is MUCH cheaper the live there than down here. With savings of 200 or 300 a month on apartments. Best thing to do in CT is to BINK. Meanig Build Income, NO kids. It is the only way to save the money.

Midttown and South down to battery park gets REALLY up there. Depending on where in the Bronx he lived(not all is like rap and NYPD blue makes it) he will be spending about the same. Only thing is that the only close professional Team is the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA. But the plus is that he isn't that far from UConn. So he could watch Uconn on TV.(tickets for ALL games sell out before the season starts)

  10. Well, if there is a problem with the TSM bill, look no further than BPP. Since he, you know, saved the board. I sure he stated this a few times but you know she saved the board. And I am sure Dames said thank you for it but he did save the board once.

As for a New England Clique. Count me in as Stamford, CT is in the MOTHER FUCKER~! We so thuged out that we cut you with our credit cards.

  11. The Spinners and The Whispers are two of my dad's favorite groups of all time. So I grew up on them. They have a soul style of music that you do not get now adays with some groups. Pop music with talent, nobody could call them crap.

  12. Dr. Dre, Madonna, or LL Cool J since they will have CDs out by the next time MTV does an ICON show.

Run DMC, REM, Michael Jackson or Prince since they have that status of ICON. But only maybe Prince will have a new CD out by then.

  13. I sense this coming an abortion thread soon. So may as well help start it....

Syxx2001, it ISN'T a living thing until it has lungs. It isnt a human until it can support itself. Humans can support themselves at the 7th month stage when the lungs are developed. The brain isn't fully developed until years after birth, for some never(like this trick). Filing two murder charges is dumb because well, one isn't born. If you can have an abortion(partial birth at this stage, done mostly to prevent the death of the mother, which might come illegal soon) then you can't call a murder on the fetus. I may be wrong on some of this, but oh well.
