    U.S. cyber investigators arrested a Minnesota teenager Friday who the FBI said has admitted unleashing one version of a damaging virus-like infection weeks ago on the Internet.

     

    A court official identified the teenager as Jeffrey Lee Parson, 18, of Hopkins, Minn., known online as "teekid." A U.S. official in Washington also confirmed an arrest was made early Friday.

     

    Court papers said FBI and Secret Service agents searched Parson's home on Aug. 19 and seized seven computers, which are still being analyzed. In an interview with FBI Special Agent Eric Smithmier, Parson admitted modifying the original "Blaster" infection and creating a version known by a variety of different names, including "Blaster.B.," court papers said.

     

    FBI Director Robert Mueller hinted earlier this week that an arrest was imminent, when he cited the damage from the recent Blaster and "SoBig" infections.

     

    "We employ the latest technology and code analysis to direct us to potential sources, and I am confident that we will find the culprits," Mueller said Tuesday.

     

    Parson — a physically imposing presence at 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds — told the FBI he built into his version a method for reconnecting to victim computers later, according to court papers. Infected computers automatically registered themselves with Parson's Web site so he could keep track of them.

     

    Parson operated the t33kid.com Web site, according to Internet registration records.

     

    The Web site, which was operated from computers physically in San Diego, appeared Friday not to have any content on it but previously contained software code for at least one virus and a listing of the most-damaging viruses circulating on the Internet.

     

    The FBI said in court documents that at least 7,000 computers were infected by Parson's software.

     

    Further details were expected to be disclosed Friday by the FBI and U.S. attorney's office in Seattle, which has been leading the investigation. The case was being handled from Seattle because the infection affected software sold by Microsoft Corp., based in nearby Redmond.

     

    Prosecutors said Microsoft suffered financial losses that "significantly" exceeded $5,000, the statutory threshold in most hacker cases.

     

    Collectively, different versions of the virus-like worm, alternately called "LovSan" or "Blaster," snarled corporate networks worldwide, forcing Maryland's motor vehicle agency to close for one day. The infection inundated networks and frustrated home users.

     

    Symantec Corp., a leading antivirus vendor, said the worm and its variants infected more than 500,000 computers worldwide. Experts consider it one of the worst outbreaks this year.

     

    The "Blaster.B" version of the infection, which began spreading Aug. 13, was remarkably similar to the original Blaster worm that first struck two days earlier; experts said the author made few changes, renaming the infecting file from "msblast" to an anatomical reference.

     

    All the Blaster virus variants took advantage of a flaw in Microsoft Corp.'s flagship Windows software. Government and industry experts had anticipated such an outbreak since July 16, when Microsoft acknowledged the software problem, which affects Windows technology used to share data files across computer networks.

     

    The infection was quickly dubbed "LovSan" because of a love note left behind on vulnerable computers: "I just want to say LOVE YOU SAN!" Researchers also discovered another message hidden inside the infection that appeared to taunt Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates: "billy gates why do you make this possible? Stop making money and fix your software!"

     

    Infected computers were programmed to automatically launch an attack on a Web site operated by Microsoft, which the software maker easily blunted. The site, windowsupdate.com, is used to deliver repairing software patches to Microsoft customers to prevent these types of infections.

    If tupac were alive and he was to come back at somone's show. It would be a Puffy show just to show that the East/West thing was pure bullshit. Or it would be at a Ja-Rule concert so everyone can see how much Ja-Rule is NOT like Pac. But if Pac came out at anyone's show, EVERYONE world wide would shit in their pants and say "WHAT THE FUCK?"

    I post at SNKT and I don't mind Choken, he is kind of like me who like never leaves the board. But he post ALL the time. It is shocking that he made up 2200+ post in 3 weeks, Jesus Christ that is just unreal.

    Who do you post as?

    I am AnT, I don't post alot their, but the rap folder over there is helping me find good rap CDs. And your(CJ's really) reviews are good.

    I been having this IE problem where each time I try to open a page, like this one for example, I get a pop up, then IE crashes, I put my pop up killer to max, still same problem. Sometimes it crashes before IE finish opening. So I used my laptop to download netscape to see if it is my modem and no problems, infact, Netscape is workiing faster than IE. Any reason why IE decided to suck?

    People need to remember one thing: It is the VIDEO that wins it. Not the song, Cry Me A River and Work It are great videos. Work it is an ok song to me but the video rocks. Busta and LP both do great videos. That is what wins it. LP winning best rock video works because it was one of the best rock videos I seen upwith "She Fucking Hates Me".

     

    Missy is talented, she is one of the best writers in music right now. Alot of major hits people have been written by Missy. Saying she sucks is just wrong and dumb. Johnny Cash had a great song. So did Missy, Johnny Cash had a great video. But Missy's was real good with the old school look. Bottomline, it is the video that matters. And for MTV to play that Cash video like 6 times. How do you expect it to win over other videos that TRL had to retire? Add to it, they needed a video package for most fans to even know who the fuck Cash is?

     

    As for rap sucking or not. Most times than not, most who speak on rap in this folder and retards who say some of the dumbest shit. I seen people saying they are glad JMJ died. I seen people compare 50 Cent to Jill Scott and saying they are the same. I seen people say other fucking retarded things. It is pointless even speak on the subject on in this folder because people just don't know what the fuck they are talking about.

     

    If you think Rock has 50 different sub genres under its title. Why can't rap have atleast 5 different styles? If you think every rap song is about "bling bling" or "bitches" then you are not only wrong, but you are a fucking moron. And not all the good rappers are dead. A few of them moved on to Hollywood or Church.

    Rakim has a look and a voice. But the problem is Rakim is old school. Dre is now in the Em style of rap. Rakim would be better with Timbaland and Missy who are going for the old school style. That is the major problem. Plus, Rakim been out since mid 80s. Most fans of rap from back then either listen to Classic Soul and gave up on rap. Or gave up on rap in total because rap is getting too extreme for them. Though, Rakim's new CD will kick ass, it might be an Eve isssue where it gets hype and total work from someone else.

    But, I was just adding to the at hand. Since you were brought up, and a person made a post, I replyed to that post with more details. It is what you do on a message board. You discuss the topic at hand.

    Nobody would give a shit if you did it once and left it at that. Doing it 4 or 5 times is annoying because after once, it isn't needed. That is what everyone is saying. You aren't thinking this fully. It is like giving Dames a glass of milk. One glass is fine and he is thankful for it. 5 glasses of milk is unneeded and wasteful to do.

     

    And you kept saying "There is PP, ban him" every time he changed names. People knew who he was. There are give away signs. But you kept screaming it to give attention to it. That is what everyone is saying. You just keep missing the point.

    The fact of the matter is this; TSM is like a giant anthill. People like Banky, DJ Jeff, and Johnson especially are like kids who pour water on the anthill. The ants swarm around furiously but are actually powerless to do anything. This place wouldn't be like that if the posters could develop a skill called IGNORE. But, no one wants to do that. People always want to play "hero" by going up against mega forum heel of the month whether it be Jeff, Banky, and for a short time Eagan. And that leads me to this........

     

    This forum is so far up it's own ass with bandwagon hopping, that Banky turned a number of posters against a once respected poster, Eagan. He went from slight annoyance to Public Enemy #1 in a few weeks. Even Dames reamed him out, despite the fact that Eagan had been right on a number of subjects. The hilarity of the situation stems from stupidity of it.

     

    Frankly, I don't see Johnson going anywhere for awhile unless a mod becomes totally biased and bans him for the hell of it. So, the best thing to do is ignore him. You all make yourselves look stupid swarming angrily, powerless to do anything. It's like a little kid huffing and puffing while a big bully laughs at him.

     

    IGNORE people. That's all you have to do.

     

    You bring up a valid point but are SO wrong about it. You miss a few major details.

     

    1: Banky was banned for trolling because he said he was trolling and other posters(Marney, I think) called him out on it and he was banned. He helped Dames get the board back up so Banky was "un"banned. He has since said he will stop trolling and hasn't, thus everyone is cool with him.

     

    2: The reason Eagan got so much flack from everyone because he was doing what you said everyone else was doing. He kept screaming TROLL, TROLL, TROLL, BAN, BAN, BAN!!!!! And reporting a troll's post 5 times a post until the troll was banned. HE was the one who called for Johnson to be banned. He is the one who kept calling to ban Banky before he broke the rules. So your point is moot.

     

    3: Johnson is just a person who lives a gimmick on the board, and a very crappy one I might add. People tried to have a debate with him. People tried to help him better his skills but he wouldn't listen. People like myself, just gave up on him. He won't be banned unless he baits more people like he did in the WWE folder again. He gets flames for trying to "piss" people off and miss a PPV, which by his clock didn't start yet, unless he lives in Hawaii. Nobody really gives a shit about him, I don't come on these boards to look for the next verbal bitch slap that Ripper gives Johnson(since it does happen alot). I just see people fighting with one side of logic talking to a brick wall like level of IQ. But you are right, people do need to ignore him. He is an attention whore who thinks he is big and bad on a messageboard and trying to be the board "heel" and it is working a little. And if people ignored him, he will be trolling to get his same ammount of attention and thus will be banned.

     

    4: Trolls themselves are a whole another grouping. People still ask for blah blah blah to be banned. But it isn't as bad a before. As people are ignoring them and pretending that they don't exsit which is working well. Now, we just need a mod to delete their post and people will completely forget about them. It isn't as bad as before. But still happens, mainly because some people think they need to defend TSM from the big bad troll when all they are doing is fucking the attention whore and ensuring that they will come back. Then there are some morons who call others bitches for ignoring the big bad troll. These troll fuckers will keep this up. Only way to stop it is to ban those who keep calling them out and talking to them. You are right here big time, people need to ignore the fools.
