I think Mario was a fun troll because he made fun of Dames. Of course that may have added to him getting banned. So um, yeah, good riddance.

1Wrestling.com has learned that Jerry Lynn signed a long term contract today with TNA. Lynn made his return to the promotion last week after a long absence. TNA had approached Lynn about making a return on the January 7 event, but Lynn had a scheduling conflict and was unable to appear.

They really should have every title on the line for this ppv. If they want to bring in these scrubs, fine. But have them in the match before the main event so that the heavyweight title is on the line for the main event.

They used to do this back in the 80's as well, as did the WWF. I used to like when a cage match was coming to town and they would do the interview behind a mesh cage. Of course they would then come to town with the blue bar cage. The one that pissed me off the worst was NWA back when they were doing the Bunkhouse Stampede. They had Dusty and Arn and all the wrestlers involved talking about all the weapons they were bringing with them to the ring and that everything would be brought out but the kitchen sink, but when they came to your town, their were no weapons.

Anyone know where I can download...

Same here. Friday they had something else listed and it was on. Last night they had it listed but didn't show it. -
Chavez signed his last extension in June of 2000. If the A's actually want to keep someone, like they do Chavez, they'll go out of their way. If they just want to make it look like they want the guy back (Tejada, Giambi), they say that they won't negotiate during the season.

I originally heard this on the radio yesterday, then found this on a local message board: On his official Web site, Owens said that he would rather play alongside a better quarterback on another team, The San Jose Mercury News reported. A fan asked him what he thought was Garcia's biggest weakness: inaccurate passes, checking down to a secondary receiver too quickly or scrambling too often. "All of the above!'' Owens answered. "Hey, I can tell you are a fan and really watch the game, because you're right on point.'' Owens generally replied to fans concerning the team's quarterback situation by saying that he would consider staying with the team if a quarterback like backup Tim Rattay or someone like him were the starter. And he constantly emphasized that he wanted to play with a good quarterback and with a team that would win a Super Bowl. He also answered one fan by saying he's willing to work out a contract if the 49ers could get a quarterback that could match his skills as a receiver and that "a receiver is only as good as his quarterback." He also poked fun at Garcia's arrest for driving under the influence, saying that if the quarterback came to his Super Bowl party he would dispatch a limousine to make sure Garcia got home safely. According to police records released Thursday, the quarterback's blood-alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit. "Everybody wants to criticize me for this and that, but have I represented the 49ers in that fashion? Nope -- I don't think so! I'm not the problem, I'm the answer! If I can't get a QB to help us win the Super Bowl, I won't be back!'' And here is the story regarding going to Philly: Owens believes he would be perfect for Philly District attorney's office reports blood-alcohol level of .20 for Garcia By Roger Phillips, STAFF WRITER Sounding ever more like a person desiring a change of scenery, San Francisco 49ers receiver Terrell Owens, a prospective free agent, has made a pitch to the Eagles in a Philadelphia newspaper. Quoted in Thursday's Philadelphia Inquirer, Owens made a less-than-complimentary comment about 49ers quarterback Jeff Garcia, said the Niners have not fully exploited his talents, and discussed the prospect of playing with Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb. "I think McNabb is a great QB," Owens told the Inquirer. "I think he's in a similar situation that I'm in out in San Fran. A receiver is only as good as his quarterback. My abilities rely on a QB's ability and his arm. "Jeff is not someone that's a pocket passer that's going to throw 50 yards down the field. On the flip side, McNabb can throw that pass but has guys that struggle to turn them into something." The Eagles have lost three straight years in the NFC Championship Game, and their receiving corps has been a target of criticism. "I'd definitely love to come to Philly," Owens said. "Absolutely no disrespect to the players they have, but there's something out there they need to get them over the hump. I definitely believe I'm that missing piece." Owens, 30, is recovering from a broken collarbone suffered in a victory at Philadelphia last month. He is expected to void his contract and become an unrestricted free agent on March 3. "I want to play for a winner," Owens said. "And contrary to what people may believe, I wouldn't be a distraction in Philly because they have the ingredients, the bona fide elements, to get where we're all trying to get. They utilize their weapons and their talents to the max. I don't believe that that was taking place here in San Fran." Calls to 49ers general manager Terry Donahue and to Owens' agent David Joseph were not returned. In another matter, the Santa Clara County district attorney's office issued a report on the Jan.14 arrest of Garcia on suspicion of drunken driving. The report stated that Garcia had a blood-alcohol level of .20 percent when he was arrested. The legal limit is .08. Garcia's initial court appearance is scheduled for March 1. Meanwhile, Garcia and the 49ers continue to discuss restructuring his contract, which if unchanged would cost the team roughly $10 million against the NFL salary cap in 2004. "I think both sides are trying to work something out," said Garcia's agent Steve Baker, who declined to comment on Owens' remarks. "It's a complex negotiation. We've had extensive conversations."

So yesterday, head coach Dennis Erickson was asked during an interview what he thought about the situation. He told the interviewer that this was the first he was hearing about it. Despite the fact its been on ESPN and everwhere else. Moron.

So is this to get TNA to up the offer? BS or truth? During an appearance on Magic 105 KMJX yesterday, Jimmy Hart stated that he and Hulk Hogan want to start a new wrestling promotion. The promotion would apparently be based out of Universal Studios in Florida. Hart said they had already spoken to people like Ted Dibiase, Sting, Buff Bagwell, and Bret Hart. The only mention of TNA was that Hart said he had met up with Lex Luger and Sting there. Credit: 1wrestling.com

So does that mean JJJ is going to shut the fuck up and cut his 3 promos per show from 8 minutes to 1 minute? If so, I'm all for it.
-
What I thought was going to happen was Raven would win the belt a few weeks before the ppv, so JJJ could get the rematch at the real PPV and take his belt back. I like anything that doesn't have him winning the belt at the ppv.

It airs on BBC America, which is shown in the states.

There are parts of Oakland that are very cultural and nice to see. Then there are the crack infested areas you should stay away from, aka the black hole section at the Raider games.

Right. So you don't think they were calling Jim Carrey that "In Living Color" guy when he first started making movies?

Rap: Why does it get such a bad "rap " around here
OldSchoolWrestling replied to lomasmoney's topic in Music
Found this somewhere: So, which artist is the most sampled of all time? Unsurprisingly, James Brown, with over 100 of his songs having been utilized for sampling (not including JBs recordings). Polygram Records have set up a department solely for the purpose of listening to records to check for unlicensed use of James Brown samples. The most sampled song? That accolade goes to James Brown’s 'Funky Drummer' with over 170 tracks having sampled it. Nine Inch Nails to New Order, Public Enemy to Prince, Queen to George Michael, and countless hip-hoppers and rappers in between, have all sampled it in one way or another. -
I interviewed yesterday for a call center supervisor position in one of their NoCal offices.

But it wouldn't make it better by any means, except maybe promos.
-
The site's admin has this as his sig: Don't hate the player, hate the game.
-
I can't think of too many great matches to put on there. So I'll only buy it if they have a shitload of his promos and some OVW stuff.

UPN, WWE Agree On Two Year Deal For SD!

Brock would spend the weeks leading up to SummerSlam running for his life and getting a restraining order against the evil Oliver. That was just a repeat of the first show. The second show won't be on until Monday. -
Stone Cold Steve Austin has shown you the way. Whenever he's about to sing he does a 10 second throat clearing. He just pushes til that shit either clears, or shit comes out of his ass.
-
The only thing that would have topped this would have been if Luke kicked Oliver in the ribs after he got dropped. Sandy can do no wrong, EVER! When he told Ryan that he should wish he'd be kicked out because he isn't going anywhere, that totally added to his awesomeness.

What was up with that chick with the man voice singing Celine Dion and everytime she sang the thunder and lightning kicked in? And then she kept trying to sing again and again.
