Superstars comment on Flair DVD The Superstars, like the fans, are all clamoring to get their copy of The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection, the No. 1-selling DVD in WWE history. Those who have been fortunate enough to obtain a copy have been talking about it backstage for weeks. WWE.com asked a few of them for their comments on the DVD. Christian It’s unbelievable. I’m a wrestler, but I’m also a wrestling fan. I grew up a huge wrestling fan. I always like to go back and watch things that happened when I was growing up. I’m glad they had the interviews leading up to the matches. They had Flair talking and his opponents talking, really giving you the idea of why they were doing what they were doing. The buildup to these matches that he had with Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat…You could just cut the tension in the ring when they finally got in there and you knew this was going to be it. I had forgotten how they got a lot more mileage out of things back then. You kind of forget how fast our TV goes today as opposed to back then. It really gave a lot of insight into his career. You didn’t have to be a Ric Flair fan to get this, appreciate it and enjoy it. I definitely recommend it to anybody. Rene Dupree Anybody who likes old-school wrestling, new-school wrestling, whatever, will enjoy this tape. Lance Storm It’s just bigger than him, and that’s says a lot. It’s not just matches, it’s a history of the business, because it goes back 20 years. It’s the stuff I grew up on and turned into a fan watching. Edge I found myself just lost in it for hours. This morning I was watching it. I watched a lot of the extras and things like that. And growing up in Canada, I didn’t get to see too much of Ric Flair. We weren’t privileged to get NWA. So I didn’t know about the whole Flair phenomenon. Eventually, I did, and I got caught up on tapes. It’s so cool to see, even a promo with Bob Orton. He opens his mouth, and you could put Randy Orton there. The voice is identical, and you see so many similarities, and that’s 1983, and now we’re 2003 and Randy’s starting to do his thing. It’s just so cool because there’s just so much history involved in Ric Flair. Jazz I only got to the first DVD. Man, I was watching that, and I was up all night long because my adrenaline was just flowing. It made me feel honored all over again to be part of this business. Every time I watch Ric Flair, that’s what I get from him. He’s the greatest. I just want to say, “Thanks, Ric. You are the greatest, baby. Woo!” Triple H I’m fairly electronically stupid. Like, I heard there are a lot of surprise things on there that you’ve got to hunt for. I don’t even know how to do it. Even if you’re not a Ric Flair fan, but you’re just a fan of the business, it’s an unbelievable thing that we’ve put out on Ric. It shows his career in some many different lights. It shows him at his best when he was younger. It’s really great. Most of it was stuff that I’d seen before, but it was so long ago. Some of the stuff with him and Harley fighting for the title, I had never seen all of that (footage), because most of that aired in the South. So some of the promos I had never seen before. I was such a huge fan of all that stuff – the Horsemen and Ric – and to go back and see things that I had forgotten about, it’s like reliving your childhood in a way. To go back and see all that stuff, it just reminds me of how good he really is.

Unfortunately, Stevie wrestling on Raw last night was only for one reason. To help turn Victoria face. Once that is established, he will no longer wrestle on Raw and will either return to Heat or be released. Victoria unfortunately will be your next diva. And there is only one payoff to this that would be considered a success: If she poses in Playboy.

Just look at who you see anytime they show WWE stars out at public functions. They show the women they considered hottest, they show the wrestlers they think the general public likes etc, etc. Just remember the Xmas in Baghdad promotion. You had Bradshaw making his stupid military comments, Big Show mumbling something, Stone Cold hanging with the troops. I was watching a VH1 show called Britney vs Christina and some of the people commenting on it were Lita, Trish and Lillian Garcia. Bradshaw is often on Fox News. Booker T and Orton I don't get, but most of the others I agree with. I don't ever see Benoit making mainstream media appearances.

Especially a guy who's been on Velocity/Smackdown since May. And has a win on Smackdown over current US Champ Big Show.

I actually think he will be more along the lines of Jake the Snake Roberts in that he will live forever.

Or they make up their own questions. If that were the case you would see 0 WWE related questions. I was suprised he didn't badmouth them at all.

Piper comes in every other month and doesn't wrestle. Does anyone give a shit anymore about what he has to say?

Football and Spongebob dominate... RAW did not make the top ten rated cable shows last week, thanks to NFL Football and episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. Two NFL games on ESPN took the top two spots, followed by an episode of NFL Primetime on ESPN, followed by several episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants.
