I watched the final Nitro last night. Awesome. I noticed some signs were blurred out and can only think that they must have said Fuck somewhere because I saw a lot of anti-Vince signs and the camerman even stopped on the one that said "First the XFL now WCW. Vince is a dumbass"

Bret's healthy enough, Kurt wants him for Wrestlemania XX On Get in the Ring Radio last night, Kurt Angle once again gave an open challenge to Bret Hart for Wrestlemania XX, saying that they would have "the greatest match in the history of professional wrestling", and that if Bret could do it physically, Kurt would be honored to meet him in the ring. Angle even admitted to recently speaking with Bret for almost two hours on the phone about such a possibility. Kurt said that Bret Hart's stroke isn't what would prevent him from going in the ring, but rather his post-concussion syndrome gives Bret severe migraines every time he takes a bump. This ailment was caused by taking several hard bumps in his career, including the famous Bill Goldberg kick to the head in WCW, which Angle said was an "accident" and "it's unfortunate, but these things happen all the time." With Brock vs. Goldberg, Kane vs. Taker, HHH vs. Foley and Austin vs. either Michaels, Vince or Hogan already being rumored for the Wrestlemania XX super-card, this only adds more to speculate about, if in fact Bret Hart is able to have one more match. 411wrestling.com

I think that the jist of this is not that Rey is going to take their spot in the title picture. Its that he was getting too popular and they didn't like it. They want the focus on them. Its like in WCW when they didn't like the cruiserweights stealing the show from the slow, lumbering heavyweights. If they keep pushing Rey, he'll get all the face heat, and then when they come out the wrestle the crowd not be as into it as with Rey's match.

Here's the Hardy one: Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest hardcore wrestler ever. Matt: False. In my mind, Mick Foley stands out as the greatest ever just because he did it here, and this is where things are remembered in the wrestling business, being the biggest company there's ever been in the history of the world. Statement #2: Jeff Hardy has wrestled his last WWE match. Matt: False. Jeff has the passion for this business running through his veins. I think one day Jeff will be tired of being burnt out, he'll get his head spun on straight, and he'll be back. Statement #3: Comic books is the best way to pass time on the road. Matt: False. Reading comics is fine, but I don't know if it's the best way. I don't have a great example, but reading comic books isn't No. 1. Statement #4: There are way too many reality shows on TV these days. Matt: True. Reality shows did really well, and like everything else, they flooded the market, so now it's saturated. But some are still fun. Statement #1: Rob Van Dam is the greatest hardcore wrestler ever. RVD: True. I added so much credibility to the Hardcore Title that it offset the balance, and they had to get rid of it. Statement #2: Jeff Hardy has wrestled his last WWE match. RVD: False. There are way too many Jeff Hardy fans that I see everyday who can't wait to see him back. Statement #3: Comic books is the best way to pass time on the road. RVD: True. For someone like me, it's a great world to visit. And you can't always count on the hotels having the adult channels. (Laughs) Statement #4: There are way too many reality shows on TV these days. RVD: True. Why the hell am I supposed to care about what some Joe Schmuck had for breakfast?

Here's the Cena one: Many in WWE are concerned with the very obvious face turn for John Cena. Eddy Guerrero lost a lot of his popularity when WWE did a similar turn with him. Some feel that Cena's turn should have been more gradual, ala Steve Austin and The Rock. Its the kick off to the xmas shopping season. You don't start worrying about xmas before thanksgiving, so you start the day after. Stores use it in hopes of driving a high dollar shopping season.

Got mine yesterday. Amazon got it to me 2 days earlier than they told me when I ordered it. I own about 300 vhs tapes of wrestling and and about 40 movie dvds but this is the first wrestling video I own. As a Flair mark from the 80's it is great to relive the memories of my teenage years. I watched disc 1 yesterday and marked for the quality of the footage. Flair's interview where Buddy Landel is in the ring is gold. "I'd lend you my robe, but you'd drown in the arms."

Exactly. No one needs to go shopping at that time on that date. Some people act as if it's the only day of the year that stores are open for business. The stores hold sales from opening until like 10am and do giveaways and shit like that. The mobs know this and as soon as the doors open they swarm the place. Some of the early sales are crap, but some are pretty good, so fools go out at that time. My wife usually leaves the house about 4:30am and is gone all day and comes home with some good loot. Gives me all day to veg on the couch like a slob. I'm not complaining.

Old E was fine, I was more referring to St. Ides. Everyone knew it sucked deep down, but all the punk kids drank it to seem tough or to live their wigger fantasy. "Hey look, I drink St Ides, just like those guys in Juice or Boyz In The Hood! I'm cool!" Yeah, that's how we got into Old E. NWA had the song 8 Ball and it took off from there.

I just started a second job to work weekends for some extra cash. I have to work until midnight friday night. Luckily I am off from my weekday job because of the holiday or I'd be leaving home at 5am and not returning until 12:30am the next day.
