    "Gorgeous" Gary Young

I was a fan of his from his World Class days. I believe Skandor Akbar managed him and he teamed with Brian Adias and fought the Von Erichs quite often. Wasn't hugely over but decent enough.

    From the Inside

TNA takes another move to one up WWE and more... Its been a very busy couple of weeks. Its been a surreal couple of weeks as well. My apologies for taking last week off... This column got pimpslapped to the curb by some last minute things that were a bit higher on the priority scale. TNA has upgraded my video editing facility to all Mac, so I've been having to learn a whole new system to work on. It is like dropping the English Language and taking up Spanish on the premise that Spanish is a more sensibly constructed dialect. I'm enjoying it though. You will see some vast improvements on the visual look of the show very soon. The main event was red hot, as the building was louder than ever for the Jarrett/Sting contest from this past Wednesday night. The Lex Luger announcement certainly seemed to catch quite a few people off guard. Anyone who suggests that we are bringing him in for any other reason than to compete in this tag team match is simply incorrect. His name had been kicked around long before the unfortunate events of this year had taken place. The deal was done just minutes before going live on Wednesday night. People obviously want to see him, as our advance ticket sales have dramatically increased going into this event. Nikita Koloff held a prayer meeting with several of the wrestlers before the show Wednesday night backstage. I'm all for that. Nikita is a fantastic, charismatic speaker and a wonderful human being. I've really enjoyed getting to know him over the years. A Lifetime documentary crew has been following him around for the past several weeks. TNA is proud to announce that starting in January, TNA will be offering our PPV's as a monthly package deal for the suggested retail price of 34.95. This is a bargain on a few levels. Obviously you will be saving money by buying it monthly, but this will be an especially good deal for months where there are five Wednesdays, with March 2004 being the first. Most of the cable systems are expected to get on board with this new pricing option. So starting January... you will get four to five weeks of TNA (roughly eight to ten hours of live PPV wrestling) for the same price as one WWE PPV. That is a no brainer. You will likely be seeing more of Sting in the weeks to come in TNA. The very graphic footage of James Mitchell on Xplosions very popular "TNA CAM" feature after his match with Raven was too bloody to air on this weekends Xplosion episode. The footage may make this Wednesady night's PPV broadcast, but that has not been determined at this time. Mitchell took one hell of a beating Wednesday night, and I'm sure will be feeling effects of that brutal match for weeks, and perhaps years to come. AJ Styles will be in action this Wednesday night as a special treat for those of you tuning into the free TNA Pre-show. The show is carried by nearly all systems carrying the TNA PPV, including DirecTV. The free preview show begins at 7:30 EST every Wednesday night. The passing of Mike Lockwood is a very sad situation, and I'm not sure there is much more I want to say at this time. Low Ki will be facing off against Christopher Daniels this Wednesday night on PPV. This is an X-Division dream match in my book. The women of TNA will be shooting a swimsuit calendar next week. Our cameras will be rolling as well. There will be a five team Gauntlet for the Gold this Wednesday night to crown new number one contenders for Diamond & Swinger's NWA World Tag Team Championships. Look for an announcement for recent TNA PPVs to be offered via streaming internet video very soon. This will be especially popular with our international fans who can't get the show in their area. The new TNA DVDs are selling very well. Check them out on the merchandise section of NWATNA.com.

    Karen Sisco

Its been on for probably about a month and I am really enjoying it. It stars Carla Gugino who I find to be quite smokin as Karen Sisco, who plays a US Marshall. It also stars Bill Duke, who I am a big fan of, who plays her boss, and Robert Forster who plays her cool dad. I have enjoyed every episode thus far and hope it continues past this first season. Not sure how ratings are, but it comes on after The Bachelor so hopefully ratings are decent.

If she bears even a slight resemblence to Summer. You must hit it. No second thought whatsoever.

I miss the Midnight Express name. MX doesn't cut it for me. I remember back in the late 80's going to a house show and the fans in Oakland cheering the heel Midnight Express so much that Cornette was loving it and even made mention of it on the following Saturday Night tv show.

Although everyone might say Marissa's mom, I'd have to say her dad. I like Jimmy but he is expendable. Him dying would force Marissa to live with her mom, causing a seasons worth of drama, and making things hard between Ryan and Marissa. But I think this show can hold off on death for a couple seasons.

    How many people here

I have a WWE Title Belt from a few years ago. Then as far as toy belts go, I have the European title, the Intercontinental Title and a miniature WWF title I bought back in the late 80's.

Are TNA making a video game?

They aren't just sitting back putting everything into their video game. They are looking to get a tv deal. They are putting out dvd's. They are looking to expand to other countries. They are looking to add wrestlers. They are looking to expand Xplosion to more markets. They are adding staff. You can't just assume they are doing the video game and nothing else.

I read a report today that says he hopes to be back before Wrestlemania, but nothing more specific than that.

My dick is so big, you must be at least 48" to ride. My dick is so big, sometimes it jerks me off. My dick is so big, it has a vanity plate. It reads, 1 BG DK My dick is so big, Al Gore invented it. My dick is so big, black holes fall into IT. My dick is so big, premature ejaculation takes ninety minutes. Why Luger is good for TNA

They can pick up some viewers on name but not enough to make much of a difference. They need to stick to solid storylines, pushing those who plan to be around awhile and quit bringing in scrubs who no one cares about.

    Big Dick Jokes

Found this online somewhere: 10) My dick is so big, it graduated a year ahead of me. 9) My dick is so big, a homeless family lives underneath it. 8) My dick is so big, there was once a movie called Godzilla vs. my dick. 7) My dick is so big, we use it at parties as a limbo pole. 6) My dick is so big, I was once in Ohio and got a blowjob in Tennessee. 5) My dick is so big, Michael Jackson wants to build an amusement park on it. 4) My dick is so big, I entered it in a big-dick contest and it came in first, second, and third. 3) My dick is so big that the head of it has only seen my balls in pictures. 2) My dick is so big, I’m already fucking a girl tomorrow. 1) My dick is so big, movie theaters now serve popcorn in small, medium, large, and my dick.

Definately. I wonder if they'll go with Seth feeling a bit jealous since he's not the son Sandy always wanted. Doesn't like sports, etc.

    The O.C.

It was nice to have an episode without Marissa's mom. So next week she's obviously going to figure in big. Sandy getting firm with Ryan about the soccer trouble was a nice touch. I don't think they jumped the gun with the kiss. Now if they had ended up in bed..... Summer continues to own all...

The OAO NWATNA thread for 11/5

You forgot "murderer of Liz" ^_- Fuck off, Liz was his girlfriend for a few years, he didn't murder her. He's probably more racked in guilt than anyone. Ignorant fucks like you give the internet a bad name. Wasn't it confirmed that Lex had beat her previously? The cops had come out to the house after she dialed 911 but she refused to press charges. Fuck him for that at least.

    NL Gold Gloves

Gold Cards take credit in NL St. Louis boasts four Gold Glove winners By Jim Molony / MLB.com Mike Hampton's first Gold Glove ended Greg Maddux's 13-season run in the NL. (Jamie Squire/Getty Images) Four St. Louis Cardinals made the Rawlings Gold Glove Award team for the second consecutive year, but another familiar repeat winner didn't win the coveted trophy this time. St. Louis, which last year became the first NL team since the 1993 San Francisco Giants to have four Gold Glove winners, did it again this year as outfielder Jim Edmonds, third baseman Scott Rolen, shortstop Edgar Renteria and catcher Mike Matheny were honored. Edmonds, Rolen and Renteria, along with second baseman Fernando Vina, were winners last year. Matheny, who also won in 2000, picked up his second Gold Glove. Also making the team were Atlanta pitcher Mike Hampton and outfielder Andruw Jones, Florida first baseman Derrek Lee and second baseman Luis Castillo and San Francisco outfielder Jose Cruz Jr. Hampton, Lee, Castillo and Cruz are first-time winners. Hampton succeeds his teammate Maddux, a fixture on the Gold Glove team who had won the award for a pitcher 13 consecutive years or every season since Ron Darling won it as a member of the New York Mets in 1989. 2003 Gold Glove winners AMERICAN LEAGUE C Bengie Molina, ANA 1B John Olerud, SEA 2B Bret Boone, SEA 3B Eric Chavez, OAK SS Alex Rodriguez, TEX OF Ichiro Suzuki, SEA OF Mike Cameron, SEA OF Torii Hunter, MIN P Mike Mussina, NYY NATIONAL LEAGUE GOLD GLOVE WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED WEDNESDAY, NOV 5. Rolen has won four consecutive NL Gold Gloves at third base, the most consecutively since Mike Schmidt of Philadelphia won nine in a row during 1976-84. Rolen has won the honor five of the last six seasons. Edmonds has won four consecutive Gold Gloves since joining St. Louis and six overall counting two he won while with the Angels (1997 and 1998). Jones has won the award six consecutive years, the longest string by an NL outfielder since Andre Dawson won six in a row 1980-85 for Montreal. Lee, whose sterling fielding helped lead the Marlins to the World Series title, beat out Todd Helton of Colorado, the winner the last two years, for first base honors. The measure of fielding excellence since 1957, the Rawlings Gold Glove Award is presented annually to 18 players, one for each position, in both the National and American Leagues. These outstanding players are selected as the best fielding players at their respective positions by Major League coaches and managers prior to the conclusion of the regular season. Managers and coaches may not select players from their own club and only vote for players in their own league. Jim Molony is a writer for MLB.com based in Houston.
