Vince will allow the Rock to come and go as he pleases, to pop the crowd. Rock will come and go as he pleases to hype his movies. Win/Win situation for both.

1wrestling breaks a lot of wrestling news that comes true but at the same time break a lot of stories that are bullshit.

They'd better tell the story with pictures because neither of these fools can speak.

OldSchoolWrestling replied to Nevermortal's topic in The WWE Folder
Complete preview: THE GOLDBERG ERA BEGINS Sept. 22, 2003 Goldberg's chances of winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Unforgiven looked bleak going in. For weeks, Triple H and the rest of Evolution got the best of the challenger. But when it came down to business, Goldberg got the job done, and defeated Triple H to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Tune in to RAW tonight on Spike TV, as the Goldberg Era begins in WWE. Also, The Rock will be live on RAW. Don't miss as WWE cameras cut into The Rock's new movie premier. What will the Great One have to say while on the red carpet? There's only one way to find out. After being screwed out of the Intercontinental Championship last night at Unforgiven, Rob van Dam has been granted a shot at Christian and his title. Can RVD top Christian for the gold? In an Unforgiven rematch, Lita will team up with Trish Stratus to take on Molly and Gail Kim. Don't miss Lita's first RAW match in well over a year. In tag team action, the Hurricane will team up with his superhero in training, Rosey, to battle Rob Conway and former World Tag Team Champion Rene Dupree. Also confirmed for tonight's RAW are Chris Jericho, Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Eric Bischoff and all three members of Evolution. Be sure to tune in and feel the fallout from Unforgiven. All this and more on RAW, which begins at 9 p.m./8 CT on Spike TV, the first network for men. -

last summer, dwayne johnson bought the trademark rights of "the rock" from the wwe. so he can use "the rock" as long as he likes. No shit? Ok, he's GONE! -
The Rock..........................................
OldSchoolWrestling posted a topic in The WWE Folder
The Rock seems to be presenting himself to the media as if he is done with wrestling. When asked if he would return to wrestling by the Chicago media, he did not answer. On the FOX Morning Show, host Tamron Hall stated that the Rock had to give up wrestling due to a back injury. 411mania.com -
The Rock..........................................
OldSchoolWrestling replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in The WWE Folder
The only issue I see here is that he's building his movie career as "The Rock" and not as Dwayne Johnson. WWE owns the name Rock and I think the appearances he puts in by coming back every few months are to satisfy Vince to allow him to continue the use of the name Rock. It'll be hard to become successful in Hollywood then one start using the Dwayne name. -
I wonder when they are going to start throwing some vote-off votes Matt's way? As close he is to everyone I'm sure it will hurt him badly. The guy's so fragile they might almost be scared to do it.

From the "take this for what it's worth" dept., Hulk Hogan was on The Bubba The Love Sponge radio show this morning. He said that he met with the Jarretts two days ago to talk about possibly working with NWA TNA but didn't give any more details than that. Hogan is also in discussions to work for New Japan next month. ... Thanks to Brian Fritz for his help with this story. 1wrestling.com

Although I love them as a team, that might be good as it would be a push of Chavo. Eddie is carrying the team right now.

Couldn't get the page to load. Can you paste your list here? edit: scratch that, I got it to work

Survivor premiere was on, plus no Mullets after the show had to have hurt the ratings this week.

I'm not sure if this was your first post or not, but your first post is required to be in General Chat with the title "Hi' I'm new here". I'm quoting straight from The Book of Dames, Chapter 8, Verse 10

In an article posted today by ABC News, Kurt Angle talks about his role as spokesman for the "Get Tough On Angina" program, and his family's struggle with heart disease over the years. The article was posted today, and includes mention of Angle's sister having a heart attack at age 41, but does not mention her passing earlier this week. The quotes from Angle were from an interview conducted this past weekend, before her passing. The article also discusses Angle's wrestling career, and quotes Angle on the possibility of a match with Bret Hart. "I'd love to step in the ring with Bret Hart," Angle said. "Many consider him the greatest wrestler of the 20th century and some have said I'm the greatest wrestler of the new millennium. So, I'd like to put out an open invitation to Bret Hart." 1wrestling.com

I missed the first half hour so I thought maybe they had shown her before then and explained her presence. Silly me. Any idea who the other chick was? -

I honesty don't. It's not like I'm the greatest Chiefs fan. Then again, the Swedish Chefs would be a great name for a team. And someone inform Austin3164Life what the deal of the game is. You pick only one team you think will win this coming week. If they win you continue on, but cannot pick that team again for the remainder of the season. Found this somewhere: Chefs win! Advertising Age's Best Commercial of 1996 prominently featured the Kansas City Chiefs. Sort of. The winner of the Best Overall award in 18 categories, announced in the May 26 issue of the magazine, was the Snickers candy bar commercial that features an elderly end zone painter finishing the "s" in the team moniker. Turns out the painter has finished the job without painting the "i," thereby making the end zone read "Chefs." The spot was created by BBDO Worldwide for M&M/Mars. No licensing fee was paid as "Kansas City" was never mentioned.

From Scott Keith's rant: - Cage match: Edge v. Kurt Angle. We’re back to pin or escape rules again. Jesus, make up your damn minds already. Kurt grabs a headlock to start, but Edge takes him down and they do their thing on the mat. Edge slams out of it and Angle wants a timeout. Angle slugs away and gets an elbow, but they slug it out and Edge gets a leg lariat, and introduces Angle to the cage. Spear misses and he too kisses the steel. Angle lays the smackdown in the corner and chokes away. Suplex gets two. Angle goes to a facelock, but Edge gives him a belly-to-belly suplex and climbs. Angle tries to stop him, but Edge follows him down with a flying clothesline for two. Angle suplexes him with the rolling germans to stop that bit of sassback, and gets two. Angle wants out the door, but it’s locked. So he gives Edge some cold cage salad with blue cheese cage dressing on the side and cage croutons on top. Edge blades and Angle works on the cut. It’s a wussy bladejob until the ref helps it out a little and the good stuff starts flowing. Angle pounds him down again, but Edge slingshots him into the cage and gets the Edge-o-Matic for two. The blood starts to turn Edge’s blond hair red, which is the main factor in a truly MANLY bladejob. Edge bulldogs Angle for two. Ref bumped, and Angle suplexes him, loosening the wig. Buckwheat Angle climbs, but Edge follows him up and gets a backdrop superplex, which Angle manages to counter in mid-air, and both guys are down. Edge climbs again, but Angle goes low and gives him the Angle Slam off the top. Ref is still out. Hope he has medical coverage in case he ends up a vegetable due to being unconscious this long. Angle climbs out with ease, but of course it’s not official unless the ref is awake to see it. Hulk Hogan sends him into the cage, however, and back into the ring. Commercial, and we return with an Angle Slam for two. Edge gets his own for two. Anglelock, but Edge counters him into the cage and gets his own. Angle counters, but Edge tries to climb, only to get stomped down by Angle. Angle goes for the door, but Edge won’t let him. Angle climbs, but Edge follows and Angle crotches himself on the cage door. Back into the cage, Angle ends up on the mat, and Edge follows him down with a spear from the top for the pin at 14:34. More good stuff, but did we need the goofy non-finish and Hogan interference? ****

Hulk Hogan meets with the Jarretts
OldSchoolWrestling replied to OldSchoolWrestling's topic in TNA Wrestling
Is there room enough for Hogan and Russo? At least Russo would fight for guys like AJ not jobbing to Hogan. And ironic that the Hogan/Russo BATB incident centered around Hogan not wanting to job to Jarrett.
