It's his backflip kick. Only way I can think to describe it. Backflips and catches the guy with a kick to the back.

Andy Douglas: The Natural Selection (Double Underhook Implant DDT) Chase Stevens: Shooting Star Press Not sure what the Showstopper is, but Young's other finisher, The Young Blood, is a Wheelbarrow Lift into a Catching (midair) Neckbreaker. Regarding Sensei John Kreese's question: Never seen Edge do the moves, but it's a Fisherman's Swinging Neckbreaker. B-Boy calls it The Plex-Breaker. Alex Shelley also uses it.

Billy Reil sent the DOI the following retirement statement: It's been a really rough year for me, as this past 12 months has been exausting. I just returned from my surgeons rehabilitation center where I've been trying to get my ankle fixed for the past 6 months. I had two surgeries in the past 3 months on my right leg, and sadly things didn't go the way the doctor anticipated. I wanted to come on this message board and write this because Frank Goodman was the last promoter to believe in me, and give me a forum to show my talent. I loved working for USAPRO/UXW, as it was almost like a wrestler reunion every show. It was a place where I would occasionally run into somebody that I haven't seen in 10 years or so. These past 10 years have been the greatest gift that a scrappy kid from South Philly could have ever asked for. Wrestling taught me so many valuable lessons in my life. Lessons that I have to use now as I move to a different part of my life. I wish I could still perform the way I did when I was in my prime.. Hell I wish I could perform a lil enough even to hang onto the business, but I can't even do that because of the severity of my ankle injury. I feel like I'm writing a eulogy almost and in a way I am. As sad as I may feel about never being able to perform again, I am happy enough to have the memories that most people only dream to have, so in that I am very thankful. I want to thank Fat Frank,Carmine Sabia, Ricky Otazu, and Tommy Fierro for all their help making me into a "Name". I remember how difficult it was back then not falling into 1 cliche considering how much heat their was amongst certain afilliations. I always kept true to myself and kept it real with the boys, and that helped me more than anything. For all the fans that continue supporting indy wrestling I want to thank you. The fans have been extremely awesome over the past 10 years, and I will never forget how cool you guys were to perform in front of. Whether it was South Philly, New York, North Carolina or California it was my utmost pleasure to be able to entertain you. Keep supporting the indy's as there are new stars born every day. I don't want this to drag on, so I'm gonna wrap this up quick. Thanks to the late Dennis Corraluzzo for believing in me enough for me to believe in me. Trent Acid you've been the little brother that I never had in this business. You were a great opponent, but a greater friend throughout the past 10 years. For guys here in UXW like Mike Tobin, Tony Lo I just wanted to thank you for the great times that we shared in that ring over the past 2 years. Pass along the message to Danny Drake that he was awesome to be around, but in a very similar situation because of the physical damage that has been done I can no longer be able to wrestle. I know I've retired before as part of angles and storylines, but this time its legit. I will miss everybody greatly, as I looked foreword to seeing you guys on the weekends, but like all good things this too must come to an end. On a lighter side, I do apologize for getting Dana into the business, but I wanted head. LOL... Thank You all for the memories Billy Reil Classic, Billy. I wonder if he'll become a fireman now that he's retired. (inside joke)

About a year and a half ago, possibly 2 years ago, I went into FYE, which is where I buy a lot of WWE shows, and I was shocked to see that all the wrestling VHSes were moved to another location in the store, and where they usually were were all wrestling DVDs. Now there's virtually no wrestling VHSes left at that store, except at clearance prices (4-8 bucks or so).

The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, Joe's debut match was against Jesse Balin a.k.a. Uncle Jess Hanson a.k.a. the lunatic Cybil of early XPW fame. The match was a few weeks before Jesse got signed to an exclusive contract by XPW and soon thereafter was never heard've again, except for a few minor indy gigs as Uncle Jess. Chris Daniels also worked for Impact at a time. They had a damn good roster back in the day. That's also where Johnny Webb's tag team with "Dirty" Dan Hansen started out. -

Impact and UIWA did a have a lot of the same wrestlers, but to my knowledge, they had no association. Are you sure Impact because UIWA cuz I had never heard that before. When I talked to Johnny Webb last year, he seemed to portray them as two different feds. But then again, I may've misinterpreted...you're IWF morphed into UIWA? -

Oh really? Do you remember what fed they were wrestling for or who they were wrestling, back in 98, by chance? -
Does the interview work for other people? I can't get it to work.
-
WOW, the interview is so popular now that the site is taking several minutes to load. That just shows how big this interview is.

Easily one of the best music videos I've ever seen, and I've seen A LOT of music videos.

I haven't seen the actual DVD, but I've seen everything that's on it and anything with the Enterprise is really entertaining. If you're an XPW fan, which you appear to be, it's definitely worth getting. Plus, it has clips of Supreme vs. Kaos where Supreme got seriously burned. That match has never been released in full, but that DVD has the most clips of it that have yet been released. I'd definitely recommend it. -
ROH/Boston promoter part ways after scandal + lies
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Mike clearly said that according to Jim. That's what happened. So that's not to say there wasn't some type of controversy. If he is such a good guy, then he - like any reasonable person - wouldn't want to be associated with such controversy, would he? -

ROH/Boston promoter part ways after scandal + lies
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Mike Johnson does ROH's bus trips. How is he any more credible than MiC? At least wait for Dave Meltzer or someone independent of all parties like that to report it. -
What day is it taped? I always thought it was taped Thursday and aired Friday, but in this thread - http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=68861 - the subject says "last night" and the thread was posted on a Wednesday, so that would indicate it being taped Tuesday. So, what day is Impact taped? And whatever the answer is, was it always taped on that day, or were the first few episodes taped on a different day than it currently is is taped? Thanks in advance.

Nobody knows this???
-
It never did take place. It was scheduled to occur in LA I believe, but they cancelled it because XPW couldn't afford to put it on due to them having to finance their lawsuit against ECW at the time. That and there was a falling out between FMW and XPW.

That's another move. The Death Sentence is the Flying Leg Drop where the one guy is holding the victim. -
Someone posted this on DVDR, and apparently it's legit... Man, the captions you could put for THAT...

I prefer the last one.
