The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
GQ Money told me some stuff about Douglas, so that'll definintely get out. I'll try to get some out of Kaos, M-Dogg, J-Pro, etc. too. If Chris Candido is still going to work indy dates even though he's now with OVW, I'm going to try to set up an interview with him at a local show, so if I succeed in that, I'll ask him, too, but I doubt he's still accepting indy dates. -

I'm hoping to have answers about whether two former-XPW superstars will be contributing, in the next few days. So stay tuned. -

Former-Slammers Wrestling Federation, SCCW, LXW, and of course XPW referee...the one, the only, Patrick Hernandez...will be contributing. Feel free to send in any questions for him or Kaos, Lawless, Jimmy, and/or Lindberg, but just be sure to get them in quickly. This will be the first time Jimmy, Kaos, Lawless, and Hernandez have gone on the record about their experiences in XPW. -
According to a couple of sites, Chris Candido is back with WWE, thanks in large part to Paul Heyman's praise of him. Heyman wants Candido to work on SmackDown!, apparently. Candido has been backstage at a number of recent WWE shows and will continue his relationship with them by working in OVW and eventually stepping up to a possible WWE comeback, if all goes well. No word about what's happening with Tammy, although I know for a fact she keeps in contact with Vince and talks to him every couple of months. Not sure if she'll be following Candido along, but she definitely does have a good relationship with the McMahons. My thoughts - good, good, and good. Candido is very good when he's motivated. Honestly, he has made strides in the last few years to clean himself up and he deserves to be rewarded for that. He's got a lot of charisma, too - like Jerry Lynn has said SO MANY times, the only reason Candido didn't make it farther in this business is because of people's stereotype of his extracurricular life (much of which is true, but regardless he was and still is very talented). All hail Candido!

Kaos, Jake Lawless, Homeless Jimmy, and former-Slammers wrestler Jeff Lindberg will be contributing. Supreme probably won't be contributing, unfortunately. If you have questions for any of these guys, you need to get them to me ASAP - as in, in the next few days. Thanks. -

EXCLUSIVE NEWS about New Jack Date: 9/9/2004 By: RF VIDEO I just got a phone call from New Jack and he is officially done with Pro Wrestling. He made it clear that he is not going to be like Terry Funk and come back to the sport again. His body and other problems led him to his decision to hang up his boots. New Jack will always be remembered for being one of the most violent men in ECW and pro wrestling all over the world. He is one of the more controversial figures in our sport. New Jack started his career is USWA and then moved on to Smokey Mountain wrestling teaming with Mustafa as they were a tag team called The Gangsters. He had a falling out with Jim Cornette and wound up in ECW around 1995. The gangsters made their first NY appearance at Heat Wave '95 in Middletown, ny at the Orange County Fairgrounds Vs Public Enemy. In ECW they had some of the greatest brawls with the Dudleys and Eliminators. New Jack was always the kind of guy that spoke his mind which led to several backstage fights including one with Brian Pillman that I was a witness to. Most of his fights with the Sandman were nothing more than two friends fighting and making up the next day. When Mustafa left ECW New Jack still was able to keep himself on top as the most over babyface besides The Sandman and Tommy Dreamer. On 11-23-1996 New Jack will always be remembered for what he did to Eric Kulas that cold night in Boston. He was never convicted for cutting Eric Kulas with a huge knife sort of like a box cutter. We just released that video by the way. When ECW folded New Jack was able to be a major player on the Indy scene. He worked for XPW, TNA, and USA Pro. New Jack never was the same after his injury that he had at the ECW PPV in CT with Vic Grimes. Jack was thrown off a scaffold and landed head first into the hard floor. Vic Grimes also fell with Jack and landed on him. New Jack suffered permanent eye problems from that bump which was not planned. RF VIDEO just sat down with New Jack about a month ago for one of our best shoot interviews to date. He is the only guy besides Steve Corino that has done three shoot interviews with us. We wish New Jack the best of luck in his future and the wrestling world will miss him. Do I think he will be back? This is Pro wrestling so we will have to see. My (LucharesuFan619's) note (don't want it to be confused with RF, who wrote the above): I know someone who's very good friends with New Jack personally and he confirms that Jack is done. Which is weird, since Meltzer just posted earlier today Jack was booked vs. Justin Credible in a few weeks for USA Pro. Bill Behrens had been insisting that Jack would retire in December 2004 at NWA Wildside Christmas Chaos, but obviously that wasn't meant to be. I'm not New Jack's biggest fan, but he is a character like none other. He has so many strip club stories you'd think he's a pimp instead of a wrestler. Truly someone you can't get bored talking to, if you're willing to crack some smiles every now and then. MY QUESTION: Why the fuck is ROB FEINSTEIN talking to New Jack, when New Jack AND his lawyer/associate Bob Barnett have publicly hated RF for years? This business sure is weird. I thought they HATED each other - not just disliked, but hated. Crazy.

TNA wrestlers Andy Douglas and Johnny Devine were involved in an incident in Nashville early Sunday morning that sent both to a local hospital. Douglas and Devine had just left a local nightclub and got involved in an altercation with several men, one of whom was armed with a knife. During the fight both Douglas and Devine were stabbed. Douglas was stabbed in the upper leg, and Devine was stabbed in the stomach. Douglas was stitched and released and his wound is not considered serious. Devine underwent several hours of surgery this morning and is expected to remain in the hospital for the next few days. The surgery, to repair internal injuries, was successful and Devine is expected to be able to return to action after a 4-6 week recovery period. At the present time, the identity of the other people involved is not known. They fled the scene of the incident, and local police officials are investigating. 1Wrestling.com wishes a speedy recovery to both Andy Douglas and Johnny Devine. CREDIT: Bob Ryder of 1Wrestling.com

I have Wham Bam Bodyslam (Owen wins the title from Bret, but the decision is reversed).

For those interested, the article will be delayed till next weekend, but have no doubt - it will definitely be released. There's a rumor circulating that Zandig tried to obtain his own license and got rejected - anyone know whats up with that? The CZWFans board mentioned it as an offhand type comment, so I'm not sure if the guy who said it was being serious or whether he's credible.
-
http://www.prowrestlingunplugged.com/radio/rebelnew.m3u Rebel talks about the incident with CZW even further. A lot of people have criticized me for what I've said about CZW. Well, once again, he confirms 100% exactly what I've claimed all along - the real reason Greg Matthews, Danny Rose, and the Backseat Boyz left CZW all had to do with their heat with Zandig, not creative differences or anything like that, as PWInsider and all the other news sites claimed. You can expect a huge article on the situation this coming weekend telling the real story of the license issue and including lots of rare info. Featuring comments from Rebel and Jimmy Jacobs.

My eyes just bugged out like they've never done before when I saw this title. My condolences go out to his family (obviously they're not reading this, but still). That's horrible. RIP, BBM. Like everyone's said, thanks for all the memories, and I have a lot of them.

CREDIT: Eric Walker As reported here earlier, Chuck Williams p.k.a. Rockin Rebel, pulled the use of his Pennsylvania State promoters license from CZW. Rebel will still be the promoter of record for ROH and 3PW in Pennsylvania and several other indy promotions. It was also reported that CZW Owner Zandig informed Rebel that he has already obtained the use of another license. Rebel has stated that as of yet, no paperwork has been filed with the State Commission. Rebel has also stated that Greg Sirb wants Zandig to obtain his own license. But now, the story has taken an ugly twist. Rockin Rebel, his wife and PA Commission agent Frank Talent have claimed to have recieved threatening calls on their phones. Rebel's calls came on his cell phone that he states no one but people he does business with has. His wife's calls also came on a cell phone that he stated only a few people have. Frank Talent called the people out on his weekly radio show to call him on the air. No one did, obviously. For the record, I am going by Rebel's statements and have not heard any messages that would back these claims up. Even so, crank calling someone and making threats is not only childish and stupid, it's a felony with the new Anti-Terrorism laws in place today. I also wish to state that not one of these calls has been traced back to anyone assoicated with CZW and these calls probably are coming from someone with no true association with CZW at all. For the record also, the CZW show scheduled for October 9th is still on as scheduled. Expect a big article about CZW's talent relations policies this coming weekend, featuring the long-awaited comments from my exclusive shoot interview with Rebel. Also including comments from Jimmy Jacobs.

Very interesting that Gangrel is still listed as being on the show...

They should interview Rob Black, LOL. See what he has to say. I can't wait to hear what Dreamer has to say. I'll definitely be buying this DVD when I see it at FYE.

Ya, but the last place they'd want him to go is TNA, since that's somewhat of a competition.
