They were never booked to work each other in XPW. You're thinking of CZW. Kaos was going to work Messiah in CZW, but Rob Black used his political pull and threatened Kaos' XPW job if he appeared, so Chris Hamrick subbed for Kaos. Their only matches were in JCW and PCW, and they most definitely have no heat with one another and never have. They've always been the best of friends, dating back to their XPW days, and have kept in constant contact ever since Messiah left XPW (Kaos is one of the few guys Messiah really trusted during the thumb ordeal).
-
Zandig has been trying to bring Pain back for like a year, and it just worked out about a month ago. Messiah's doing pretty good lately. He changed his look and grew longer hair, but is the same wrestler he was.
-
No, I'm just happy Kaos is finally getting some more bookings. Messiah vs. Kaos has happened twice before - in JCW (never released on tape) and in PCW. What's cool is it's happening on a bigger platform. And 12?

Q and A September 7, 2004 Q: If there were a Tough Enough 4 would you consider being one of the teachers? A: There is going to be a Tough Enough 4, and I am not interested in teaching on it. I have my hands full where I am and enjoy working with my people in OVW. Q: What is the biggest bump you’ve ever taken? A: I’ve taken several Power Bombs off the tope rope from Chris Candito, which are likely the biggest. Q: What is your opinion of Teddy Hart? A: I don’t know Teddy well, but he seems to have a lot of talent, but needs to mature a lot yet. Q: Have you ever had a Ladder Match? A: I’ve had two of these both with Chris Jericho, and both in Calgary. I even won them both. Q: Did you prefer working on RAW or Smack Down? A: There were high lights and low lights of both. I can’t really pick they all blend in together at this point. Q: How hard is travel in WWE? A: Hard enough that Brock Lesnar walked away from a multi-million dollar contract. This is the toughest job there is from a travel standpoint. Between 200 and 260 days a year on the road with no off-season. Unless you love it like we do, it will kill you. Q: Which of your Title Reigns meant the most? A: I look at Title Reigns different than most people, so this is a real tough question. The Three Titles run in WCW got me the most recognition so I will have to go with that one. Q: Who was the most fun to work with? A: I don’t think I can pick just one person, as there are so many variables and great guys to work with. Don “Cyrus” Callis, and I had so much fun at times, Jerry Lynn I’d work for free, Tommy Dreamer was always, excuse the pun, a Dream, Champaign Gerry Morrow, Chris Candito, the list goes on and on. Q: What are your thoughts on working Spike Dudley? A: Spike is one of the few people I’ve actually been in near fight with back stage over a finish. On an ECW house show in Baton Rough (I think) he out right refused to let me put him over. We sat and argued for close to 20 minutes before I finally had to all but threaten him into letting me do the job. Other than his difficultness, I absolutely love working with Spike. Q: What are your thoughts on Bam Bam Bigelow’s retirement? A: This is news to me and I wish Bammer well. We worked in Japan and ECW together and I got to both know and like him. His work in Japan was off the charts, man he could control that ring. Q: What are your thoughts on the new dress code? A: I can see both sides to this. I’m not a big fan of blanket policies, but some people needed to professional up a bit. Looking good is an asset, but it does cost us our individuality, which is very important in wrestling. We must relate to our fans and have them relate to us. Austin is a prime example. He wore jean shorts and T-shirts, and was a Texas Red Neck. People saw that that was real and related to it. I also think that if we all dress up HHH and Evolution lose part of their uniqueness. I think there is a happy medium that might better serve everyone, but guys showing up at airports in tank tops and ripped sweats had to stop. Q: Is there a gimmick you would refuse to do? A: There likely is but it would have to be extremely distasteful, as I have always been a team player and done what I was told. Q: Do you consider yourself under rated in your WWE career? A: I don’t think under rated is the right word. I think I was respected as a very talented individual by fans, co-workers, and the office. I think they all rated me very highly. I think I could have been utilized more, at times, but that is true of so many people. I had a ton of opportunities in WWE, and had a lot of fun. I worked with almost the entire roster and held titles on 5 occasions. I look back at my WWE career fondly. Q: Were you on the 2002 Plane ride from Hell? A: Nope I missed that one! Q: Who is the stiffest wrestler you ever worked with? A: Koji Kitao, a former Grand Champion in Sumo. I worked with him numerous times in Japan. His kicks rattled every bone in your body. He was 6’ 8” and weight 390 lbs I think at the time Q: Has anyone ever stiffed you on purpose? A: There are likely a few, but only one that I know for sure was on purpose. The late Pitt Bull 2 and I got into a bit of a fight in a battle royal in Vienna Austria. I’m saving the rest of the details for my book. You guys better hope it gets published some day I’m teasing you with a lot of tid bits. (LOL) Q: Do you have a favourite RAW Diva? A: I have to keep it in the family, Victoria. Q: What is the stupidest question you have ever been asked? A: You mean apart from this one? Q: Have you ever feared getting hurt like Droz? A: What happened to Droz was horrific, but you can’t think about stuff like that. If we did we would never be able to perform. Q: Was the Dynamite Kid the best wrestler ever, in your opinion? A: I don’t think there is one best ever, and I’d have to have worked with him to give a fair opinion. Q: Do you have a pension fund set up? A: I’ve had a financial plan set up for years. I am not going to be wrestling or selling autographs at 65. Q: Is Ken Shamrock the most dangerous man to ever step foot in a WWE ring? A: I wouldn’t say so no. He may be the most skilled fighter (not that I would know that for sure either) but skilled fighters don’t put you on the most dangerous list. Guys like King Tonga, or Fit Finlay, are dangerous people. Q: Sid considers himself the greatest wrestler of ever. DO you agree? A: He may say he considers himself that but I doubt he honestly believes it, at least not using the word “wrestler”. Please! Q: Hulk Hogan said he considers wrestlers to be the greatest athletes alive. Do you agree? A: I think some of us are. You certainly can’t group us all together. Kurt Angle is, Hulk Hogan, not so much. No offence Hulkster but I don’t see you placing in the Decathlon at any point in your career. (LOL) Q: What do they mean when the announcer says. “This bout scheduled for one fall”? A: It means it a regular run of the mill match that will be over when one guy takes a fall. (pin fall, submission, etc.) That’s it for another week, or so. Keep those questions coming. Lance

New Jack retires from pro wrestling
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Jack was planning an autobiography as of a year and a half ago. I hope he still is because that'd be cool to read. -
I dunno, maybe their series with XXX was all XXX (that doesn't look right, if you get my drift), but even if it was, it shows ya how good XXX is. Skipper's another guy I'd like to see in WWE, specifically vs. Paul London. I've been wanting to see that match for awhile now. Too bad they'd just job him and not capitalize on his charisma (and Skipper has a lot of it). As for Daniels, I wrote an article about the pros and cons of him going to WWE on ObsessedWithWrestling.com awhile back. Overall, it'd screw up his career, as most who follow it should be aware of. As for Sabu - he's been helping out in TNA a lot, but specifically with Monty, Abyss, and Alex Shelley. Those guys seem to be his three proteges as of late. Don't be fooled - Sabu knows his shit. If I was an up-and-coming wrestler and could get tips from him, I'd be more than happy.
-
Interesting indeed. Definitely not something that was expected. An interduo feud (D/St vs. Sk/H) could be pretty cool I guess.
-
You really don't see them going after AMW, Laz? I mean, AMW seems like the typical duo WWE would be after - both size and style wise. Them vs. WGTTP (Haas/Benjamin - assuming they're still teaming...I don't know - I don't watch WWE much anymore, besides Velocity) would be pretty cool to see, IMO. Maybe in '02 they weren't seasoned enough, but they've improved since, and have started - at least to a degree - to develop some charisma (now granted, I don't see TNA every week, I usually download a couple matches of the show, but from what I've seen of them lately, they've improved in the ring and more so on the mic). I agree - I could definitely see Monty in WWE. TNA - for all they've done wrong - have really done something quite good with him. He's no A+ level worker, but he's learning fast, and when you got guys like Sabu giving you tips, it's hard to go wrong (unless you take his advice about how to break a table ).

Batts cuts the most intense promos on earth. They really need to give him a mic, but knowing TNA they would have to manufacture a new one that doesn't say "Jarrett" on it. Dusty/D'Amore, though? Yuck.

2 IWA Mid South workers to appear tonight
LucharesuFan619 replied to cmpunk04's topic in TNA Wrestling
Ya, it was Matt Sydal and Luke against Legend. I can vouge for it being Delirious. He's one of the guys. Don't know the other, although apparently it may be Nate Webb. -
AmDrag/Shelley is booked? There must be a God. Genius. Pure Genius. I gotta see that match on tape. Personally, I'd prolly go to CZW, although it's close. I'm not a huge fan of the current CZW product, but the card itself looks pretty good. But man, that AmDrag/Shelley match...noyyyyyyce. The Pain/Messiah match looks good (Zandig's losing so much money that bringing back Pain wasn't a bad idea at all), and the SAT's return should be sweet. The only thing about CZW that you may end up regretting, besides sitting through the horrible booking yet great wrestling, is that this card looks like Frank Goodman is booking it (those who don't know - USA Pro cards go on and on for hours into the middle of the night). At least it starts early though. Is it a possibility to go to both shows? Alex Shelley will be making the trip back and forth...maybe investigate carpooling or something. Wrestlers always need rides. I remember someone gave Justice Pain, M-Dogg 20, Josh Prohibition, and Chris Hamrick rides from the XPW show in Pittsburgh back to the hotel and that the ride was an experience they'll never forget, thanks to the countless potty and fart jokes and other pranks. Riding with wrestlers can be classic.

The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yup, completely unbiased article there. Absolutely no 'every bad story about XPW will be disputed with the TRUTH~! where XPW is never in the wrong' vibe coming from it (especially not with all those Super Dragon comments) XPW hasn't even been talked about dude. What do you expect me do - lambast Rob Black for having three girlfriends before finding the right one? Sheesh. -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Xtreme Entertainment Group bought the copyrights and stuff about a year ago, so I think they own it all. What I meant to say was "shouldn't," not "wouldn't." I mean, I wasn't backstage so I can't say firsthand what happened, but if he did yell at them, I think it's pretty well deserved if in fact they went twice as long as they were supposed to, and again, I don't know for sure if they did, but from what I was told they were supposed to go only 6 minutes. -

Brooke talks about the whole car crash and Combs thing on TrashTalkingRadio.com. Check it out. Great audio show. -
Shockmaster is the first one that came to my mind. I just saw it for the first time today via Kazaa and it's indeed classic.

The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I started doing the research around the time when XPW stopped running (early 2003). So, about a year and a half. No problem about doing it. I have a soft spot for XPW, and this is my way of conveying it. It was indeed a tremendous match (one of the best spotfests I've seen), but at the same time they didn't do what they were told, and it's risky to put guys out there that you're not sure you can trust. They knew they were only supposed to go about half as long as they did. -

I was told Rob started yelling at them when they got backstage. That's prolly why they didn't work the next show or two. Absolutely amazing amtch, though. -

The Rev. Pro guys were told to go 6 minutes. They went about double that. Why wouldn't they be yelled out? -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yes, there was. That's part of the story. Certainly not all. No, it's not. He's omitted something key in all the interviews he's done. Actually, the Rev. Pro guys got along quite well with the XPW wrestlers, but only after many of them failed to introduce themselves to the XPW homegrown guys and the XPW homegrown guys had to introduce themselves (much like what happened between Sean O'Haire and The Undertaker when O'Haire joined WWE). By Rev. Pro guys, I don't mean AWC, Shady, and a select few others. Those two especially were very up front, but Dragon and others weren't as much so. They're far from fake. -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
The Super Dragon thing? His XPW debut was he and Rising Son vs. Ultra Taro Jr. and Disco Machine, I think it was. According to Dragon, Rob Black started yelling at them once they got backstage because they were the opener on the show and showed up all the other guys who were gonna work later, since they put on such an amazing match. If you know Dragon outside of the ring (which I don't, but I do know people who know him), you know he has a legit ego. The full story is a whole lot different than he wants people to know. -
The Story of XTREME PRO WRESTLING
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Of course. This is the Story of XPW. It's gonna be the size of a book. There's gonna be info on the no-name guys like Jake Lawless, Matt Sinister, and Kristian Blood, so of course those guys will be talked about. Steve Rizzono talked quite a bit about how Rob Black reacted to Super Dragon's controversial XPW debut (something nobody has gone on the record about until now), and also about communicating with MMW, Nosawa, and the other international superstars who worked XPW. -
So? Why shouldn't he rip ECW, when Paul Heyman bounced his checks and lied to all of his talent? Considering Douglas was there from the beginning and knows Heyman better than almost anyone, he has every right to tear Heyman and ECW a new asshole. ECW might not have existed had it not been for Douglas' mic skills back in the day. Wasn't much of a wrestler, but before his promos started getting repetitive, he was very charismatic.
